Is there not enough negativity around this current campaign that we have to resurrect negativity and hurt feelings from a year ago?    Just put it away.     There is no reason to drag this thread about this current campaign through the muck that the previous HasLab thread turned into.

I keep seeing people repeat this phrase about "negativity" around the current campaign and I just don't see it. I don't care what anyone on YouTube says and aside from the usual BS happening above, there was and has been very little negativity on this board regarding GM. I'm not sure why this fallacy keeps getting repeated as fact.

You misunderstand me - and perhaps I could have been more clear -  what I'm saying is - is the lack of negativity around the current campaign not giving people enough to fight about so that they are reopening last year's wounds so that they have something to fight about?

If there were 10k people that want this it will fund. If not, it wont. Pretty simple really.
I find it hard to believe people actually base their desires on what some tool(s) on a forum or video say.

Welcome to humanity friend. The fact that... Influencers are a thing is all the evidence you need. People need to follow. Generally speaking. 

Also, all things considered, the thread didn't descend too far into madness. Unpleasant, sure. But not quite the briny depths. Plus, yojoebro is learning new things - and I think that's keen. 🙂

You may however get the conflict FOMO crowd see the thread jump up a quick couple pages, do some light reading, see a triggering username and reignite tensions. I take no responsibility for them.

They probably could have cut the funding time down to 20-25 days to inspire urgency, and setting him to 10,000 when the Sentinel was 6,000, and what many would consider an army builder, are the two head scratchers to me.

 

That's not quite how economies of scale works, though. For them to cut the backer count, they would've had to increase the price. Conversely, if they wanted to decrease the price, they would've had to increase the backer count.

Some people believe they're immune to advertising. They're not. No one is. I assume the same is true of influencers. To some degree, you are your environment. If you surround yourself with people of a certain opinion, that opinion will permeate your thinking eventually. Even if it's subconscious.

That's why the best way to live is all by yourself in a van down by the river.

I saw the page count on this thing jumped overnight. I assumed there was either some exciting new details revealed about the campaign or people decided to rehash the prior HasLab. I now see it was the latter.

I'll declare that I'm firmly in the camp of the Hasbro White Knights (this term is almost as cringe as people who say woke unironically btw), who get on with life and enjoy what they can out of the line, as opposed to the usual suspects who exclusively come here to complain about every facet of the line and revel in it. Go figure you were keeping track of my post count this entire time.  Seems like a dumb thing to care about since the forums were wiped, but hey, if you want to keep your "haters post count spreadsheet" up to date, that's one thing I won't prevent you from enjoying.
