Pretty cool that they added some stuff to the base package - for anyone who missed it, they are now including black and white antennae since he's been depicted with both, plus multiple eyes so he can look straight ahead, down, or to the side. (Pics here: https://thefwoosh.com/2023/09/hasbro-pulsecon-23-marvel-legends-reveals/) The black antennae had not bothered me, but now that I see him with white I think it looks better. Glad to have options!
I'm a sucker for these simple classic superhero designs, AND I've been rereading the early Avengers books (almost up to Cap's Kooky Quartet) so the more I see of this project the more excited I am for it. And as much as I would enjoy getting some extra figures had they been included as tiers, it does take a lot of the pressure off - the zombie and Skrull options are truly extras to me, and if they don't happen I won't really care. I still expect it will take off in the last few days and hit all the tiers though.
I don't think discussion is necessarily a good thing. As we saw with the EoV, the conversation was combative and overwhelmingly negative. We actually had people rooting for it to fail by the end. This is a case of slow and steady winning the race.
The last day alone should be more than enough to get this over the finish line.
I’m definitely displaying with white antennae. Happy to see that addition.
I guess I missed the part about the other eyes…hmm, cool.
I disagree. Good or bad discussion is important in most aspects of life. For the fandom, yes it can get toxic, but discussion is part of what I enjoy about the hobby. I can commiserate with like minded people, and yes even get heated at times about topics. However I much prefer that over sitting in my house and not being able to enjoy the hobby with others, or my select few local friends.
While I agree that the EOV suffered from a strong, harsh backlash it was partially a product of it's own making. The team thought they had a great product offering, and quickly found out they didn't. Thanks to the discussion they course corrected for Giant-Man and now we see the result. Maybe it still won't fund, but at least it shows they were listening to the discussions across the fandom.
Anyway.
Giant-Man:
5,084 . 10,000 (+47) 50.84% of funding goal with 29d 16h left.
Back to the more usual trending after the one day min-bump.
Even as a “The glass is half empty, and that’s only until some idiot knocks it over” kind of guy, I can’t imagine this not funding. I think the problem is that most backers could care less about the additional tiers/faceplates so there’s no real incentive to cough up their $200 any sooner than absolutely necessary.
I’m still on the fence because I’m perfectly happy with the BAF, but those white antennae definitely help.

I wouldn't say the EOV wasn't a great offering, it was poor choices. Sticker shock started the bad vibes. It was released weeks after the Hiss tank at a higher cost. With people already unhappy with the price, the choice of tiers made it even worse with some negligible ties to the EOV. One of them being a highly desired X-Men-related character.
In some alternate reality, the Hasbro team went with Vengeance, a human Johny Blaze, Lilith or someone GR related over Madelyne Pryor as the first tier and the EOV funded.

I'm not sure we're talking about the same thing here. Of course I love discussing this hobby. I wouldn't be here otherwise.
My point is that any press is not good press. If you're Hasbro/someone who wants this to fund, you'd rather be in this situation (a few comments a day) vs. the EoV (several pages of heated discussion per day, mostly talking about what a waste of money/poor value the product is).
I think most people are happy with what's being offered, so it's just a matter of waiting until the end to see what will happen. For the record, I think this funds and reaches both stretch goals without much trouble. That might happen with 12 hours left, but it will happen.
This is a perfectly adequate product at a reasonable price. Maybe you don't like the stretch goals or wonder how the face plates work, but there's not much else to say. It does make me wonder if 45 days is too long, though. I can't imagine the situation would be much different if the campaign were 21 days.
I'm really happy to see some more stuff added to the base figure. The white antena are my preferred look and the ability to swap out the eyes to have them look in different directions is another wonderful touch. I don't know how any Legends fan can look at this Haslab and not want it. I get that there is a lot that Hasbro does wrong with Legends, but this Haslab is not one of them. I don't know what more they can realistically add.
There simply isn't much to discuss when everyone is in a general agreement of opinion about this product, outside inconsequential preferences which were already stated a week ago. While EoV discussion was a spectacle to behold, I much prefer this. I hope Haslab trends further towards products with this type of response.

Give me a figure with this and I'm in. I need a figure. Anyone really 🤣
Good news! It actually comes with quite an impressive figure!
This was easy to back. I sold my TB Giant Man for > $200 two years ago to help fund a HasLab Sentinel. Gimme gimme.
I don't know... Hank's physique could use some work. Almost no butt, weird proportions in the mid-range - lats too big, or not enough actual torso - he looks out of proportion to me.
