This looks great! I love that it's 24 inches as I think is probably the ideal height for this offering. I'm definitely going to back the project and would likely buy 2 (maybe 3?) if both faceplates fund.
I bought 3 Sentinels and always regretted not getting a fourth to use the battle damaged look. I never really considered getting more than one Galactus, but I certainly may buy more than one Giant Man and the price point makes that more realistic.
Once we heard the rumored $199 price point I knew that there wouldn't be multiple tiers of 6" figures, but not even one is disappointing -- but if that's what kept it under $200, then I"ll take it! I bet they release a new Wasp around the time this about to ship next fall -- maybe in a 2-pack with lab coat Hank.
I've never been happier about being wrong in regards to saying that I didn't think that they'd ever release a HasLab this cheap!!
They said they're working on a T3, honestly haven't decided, and that they'll take feedback.
IMHO, a "First Appearance" Wasp is the way to go.
I also don't think that's unreasonable as her first suit had blue gloves with blue tinted wings and leggings and her first Avengers suit (which could be retail) had red gloves and clear tinted wings.
Putting ,arguably, one of the most highly requested Avengers related figures as a tier of this project, knowing that a number of collectors likely have the ToyBiz Giant Man already, that absolutely holds up and they're satisfied with, would be a disaster.
Putting it as the 16,000 option aswell?
They're not that stupid. We all know Hasbro's marketing techniques and the nature of their selling, but that wouldn't even be an incentive for the project, it would be spitting in peoples faces.
Then telling everyone, here's this super exclusive tier you are ONLY getting in this Haslab, getting people to begrudgingly fork out the $200, and saying, gotcha, here's a single release!
People can imply Hasbro is shady and there'll be a chorus of "I wouldn't put it past them" that comes from their own baggage with the company, but no, that to me, seems insane.
Did you read the entire post?
I'm suggesting they make a distinction between what people think of as Wasp's first costume and what she wore in her actual first Avengers team-up. I think it would actually even make sense to announce the distinction and commit to doing her founding Avengers costume as a standalone.
I don't think people would riot over blue gloves and a headset and inverted boots that most fans and even artists forget were different in her first appearance.
Overall, I applaud them for not selecting a modern character that most collectors have little to no interest in
Love it when he speaks for most collectors. Finger on the pulse.
IMHO, a "First Appearance" Wasp is the way to go.Ryan explicitly said during the stream today that they didn't want to do extra figures in this campaign and would prefer to do those as separate releases after people complained about it so much during last year's Ghost Rider Haslab.
People seem to be split on the topic, so no matter what they do, some will be happy and others grumpy. No doubt in my mind that they've got Wasp or another figure ready in their back pocket as tier 3 if things are slow, and it won't change the ratio of happy vs grumpy fans much. And they'll rationalize it by saying "we've listened to your feedback!".
Personally, I hope it doesn't happen, I'm leaning towards sticking with the TB version and I'm glad there's no other figures to factor into the decision.
1,400 after about 90 mins...not exploding out of the gate but far from terrible.
Edit: I may have spoken too soon about the total maybe being middling, it seems to be going up at a pretty healthy clip.

Did they say they were considering a 3rd tier? I missed that in the livestream.
At $200, one would assume this will fund. He looks good. Good luck to all that want him. I am doing what I did with Sentinel and Galactus: I'm just going to display my Toybiz Giant Man with my Hasbro figures. Smaller than Haslab, not made by the same company, but roughly $1K still in my pocket.
Looks like the, err, healthy dialogue around HasLab has picked back up.
... the bonus figures are almost a lose/lose proposition. Either people are enraged that someone seminal to their collection is locked behind a $400 paywall, or it's someone nearly anonymous like Morg who's met with shrugs.
I think the best avenue is Morg and something like the Cobra Commander with the paint error, but that does very little to move the needle. The GI Joe tank commanders were also a good idea, but that's almost impossible to replicate on the Marvel side.
Glad Hasbro came to the same conclusion here. I know folks wanted Wasp and Jarvis, but there's no reason those figures can't come out through Fan Channel next year.
I really like the face plates, too, even if I'd chuck all four alternates in a bin until the end of time. They take up a lot less space than alternate heads.
I feel like $200 is incredibly reasonable. A 24" figure with a unique sculpt, gorgeous textures and shading, and a ton of articulation. I want this desperately, but HasLab isn't for me as currently constructed. My display consists of two packed Detolf cases and I'm not pulling an entire shelf to get a 24" figure in there. Sadly, Hank Pym will only exist in .25" ant-riding form on my shelf.
I’m going to wait until the last day to back it. My Hasbro Pulse Premium expired a few weeks ago. I bought it last year to back the HISS tanks because I figure I’m getting a discount on it since I’d be paying shipping for haslab otherwise.
If I wait until the last day to renew Pulse premium, then it will give me the ability to have the free shipping longer through next year.
My only question after watching the entire launch video (and I guess I can't really expect them to address this right off the bat), is if this campaign gets funded, how likely are we to see this base body used for future giant characters like Giant-Man/Goliath variations, MOE Josten goliath, Atlas (Thunderbolts), Titan (Imperial Guard), MicroMax, etc.
Hopefully, they address re-use possibilities in some way.
Update: I can’t find it, but I found the other posts I saw it mixed in with, so I don’t know if it was deleted, fake, or whatever. But in my search to find it I ended up seeing several photos of the Engine of Vengeance so now I’m super bummed out all over again. You and me both! I still lament the lack of a Hellcharger that would be coming my way soon, but the people spoke. At least Ramen Toy stepped in - their project is shaping up to be a worthy substitute for the real thing. Just gotta make myself a Robbie figure!
Care to restart the Ramen thread? I haven't read any updates since you posted in the now-obliterated-old-thread 🤣
I'm not that much of a glutton for punishment! After the board collapse the already-tiny number of people interested has dwindled even further!
Fair enough. If you could just PM me any updates you come across, that would be much appreciated! 😉
@ben That's pretty solid logic... but with PulseCon happening in two weeks and the absolute certainty that there will be offerings there that I need to order I'm planning on buying my Pulse Premium membership right before that event - then getting free shipping for the PulseCon items, the HasLab and everything else they'll soak me for over the next 12 months.
The standard shipping cost from Hasbro has been $6 per pulse order, but the HasLab shipping is $15 (according to Pulse when I just mocked an order right now). So JUST with PulseCon and HasLab that's half the Premium membership cost. Considering how many Pulse exclusives they got me to order this past year I really regretted not having Premium and won't make that mistake again.
Looks really good. The swappable head pieces look really well done, and both the Skrull and Zombie heads are better than the Doom head as actually working in potential displays. And I think at this size, $200 is fair and the articulation looks good. I'd have been fine with swappable hands but not going to complain about the fingers, has some interesting potential.
I'm just not sure I want Giant-Man to be that large in the display - that's not a fault of the HasLab, just personal preference. I know some think complaining about the size of this as too big is silly, but I just don't think of the character as that large I guess? Maybe because on so many classic covers (largely for composition reasons) he isn't that big, more between 2 1/2 to 3 times the height of the others. My instinct when seeing him posed with the other Avengers in the live stream was that is seemed out of proportion. So have to think about it a bit as I still have the ToyBiz version...
As an aside, they should view figures as tiers the way Star Wars does, maybe something in the packaging is different or a paint variation, but not say it is the only way to get the figure. The main piece should be the exclusive, the rest could be legit bonus figures if the campaign is successful that can still some out in the future as separate releases whether unlocked or not. (I for one would like to get a couple more of the small Sentinels that came in that campaign).
Is there precedence for Hank having a goofy-ass smile in the books?
It’s a very lovely figure, and reasonably priced. If I didn’t still have the BAF, I’d be on it in a flash. But I’m not sure this represents a £200 upgrade on that figure. Figures as tiers might have moved the needle - the alt heads aren’t of any interest to me.
Can’t fault them though - funds are tight this year, so I’ve no problem with saving cash. A must have character as a tier would have had me backing but feeling the pain. As is, I can pass with no regrets and enjoy everyone else’s pictures. I think it’ll fund comfortably, and I’m happy for all those folks picking him up.
Definitely up for more fan channel Avenger releases - the need for a classic Wasp has just intensified.

There was a user who posted this gorgeous display in the Marvel forum pre-nuke.
I can't remember his username (something-Zero?) but I had messaged him to ask what the cabinet was and he kindly pointed me towards this: https://www.amazon.com/5-Shelf-Glass-Curio-Cabinet-Black/dp/B00FPGP4KA/ref=sr_1_5?keywords=COASTER%2B5-Shelf%2BGlass%2BCurio%2BCabinet%2BBlack%2Band%2BClear&qid=1685980870&sr=8-5&ufe=app_do%3Aamzn1.fos.c3015c4a-46bb-44b9-81a4-dc28e6d374b3&th=1
It's wider than a detolf but roughly the same height, and he uses custom cut acrylic for the angled shelves. We're (hopefully) relocating in the next year into a forever house, so I'm not putting any new money into my display until I know what kind of space I'll be working with. But this is definitely an aspiration, especially with a cabinet that would line up nicely with my existing detolfs. A similar display with Giant-Man surrounding by flying Avengers is very easy to imagine.

Then I would have to ask what is the point in making a slight variation the top tier incentive of a backer funded project. Third tier goals should be the quirky extra, not something that would piss people off. Plus, there's no single carded FA Wasp on the horizon, so if they show her as a tier in the next month, that'll most likely cause a drop in backers if anything out of sheer rage.
