So I got the two left looking eyes as well as cross eyed looking down, and a plug in the antenna hole that I cannot remove.

well I managed to get the plug out. Took about a half hour of finding the right tools and working it out.

Has everyone who's gotten these actually received a shipping email from Hasbro Pulse with tracking? Or are you just seeing in your FedEx account there's a label created for a Hasbro Pulse package?

Saw the label created in FedEx last week, got a shipping notification email from FedEx on Wednesday, and got a shipping notification from Hasbro Pulse on Thursday.

I don't have mine yet so I'm not really sure what this guy on Reddit is talking about, but this is a clearest explanation for what may have gone wrong with the eyes I've heard yet.

That's the pattern emerging (two side sets and one down) but I think it's a misprint issue rather than missing/duplicate parts.

If you look at the whites of the eyes, each set has a rectangular tab of paint coming off the white in a different position -- to the right side of the left eye, down from the right eye, and down from the left eye -- which I believe is meant to differentiate the three sets of eyes. Logically, the side position tab would most likely indicate the side eyes, the left-down position the down forward eyes, and the right-down position the front forward eyes.

So what may have happened is either:

- the front forward set has mistakenly been printed with the side eyes;

- the front forward eyes have been misprinted way off-center;

- some side eyes have mistakenly been printed with the tab code meant for the front forward eyes

and then it's been assembled and packed as if it was correct because the three separate tab codes are present.

Has there been any comment from any of the Legends guys on this yet, or are we still too early into it?

Do you have a guess as to what may have happened? I mean, none of your actual antenna are broken off, are they? If not I'm guessing a QC person tested the antenna in the hole and broke one off, but then they didn't know how to remove it and left it for you to do.

I'm guessing we're getting no comment from the Legends team. I don't really remember - did they comment on the lack of ratchets on the Sentinel?  I don't really remember what they said, but I think they said something that was really vague like they were looking into it followed later by a brief comment about how they would try to prevent this in the future.

Mailing out a new set of eyes to all the backers would be much cheaper than whatever they would have had to do to fix the Sentinel ratchets though.  They probably would have had to ship an entirely new Sentinel to everyone which would have been a huge financial loss on the project.

From what I saw on Reddit, someone was saying the Hasbro team is aware of the eye issue and will send out replacements in November, but you have to contact customer service to get yours. Dunno if this is accurate or not.

I'm guessing you mean this Reddit reply to a thread linked below.  Note he's referring to Pulse customer support--as far as I've seen none of the Legends team members have commented yet.  We'll see if they do, but my guess is they don't and leave it up to customer support to deal with for whoever cares enough to contact them about it.

But if it's as widespread an issue as it seems they won't have enough extra parts for now.  I recall there weren't enough extra parts to go around for the previous Haslabs and they started sending out refunds for whoever wanted to return them, so unless they do an explict extra run of the straight-on eyes they probably won't have enough replacements.  Hopefully they do print more of the correct straight-on eyes, but I'm skeptical.

For now I can't tell how widespread the problem is.  Many of the reviewers didn't seem to notice this and didn't take clear enough pictures of all three of their eye sets to tell one way or the other if they got the straight-on eyes.  I thought I had seen some straight eyes, but I could be mistaken.  As soon as I see a pic or video with them I'll post the correct eyes...but for now I have no clearly verifiable evidence of anyone receiving a straight set of eyes.

@enigmaticclarity Considering Hasbro just did another round of layoffs this week I doubt there is much appetite among the rank and file, bean counters, or C-Suite types for an additional expense on a project they consider fulfilled.

I don't imagine the ML team is going to want to go up the chain of command and try to sell them on the idea of "something nice" for the fans after the eyes didn't come out exactly straight.   I can see management just staring blankly at anyone who would bring it up and asking them if they are serious.

Seeing all these small issues with Giant-Man kind of eases the pain of not backing him.   I just couldn't pull the trigger last year when they want almost $50US to ship him to Canada, even at $200US for the figure.   It came out to something silly like $450Cdn for him.   So I was bummed to pass, but now it doesn't sting quite as much.

Well I for one am glad I backed him. The eyes on mine are slightly off, but not as noticeable as others I've seen, and after heating his hands in boiling water, he's pretty magnificent. All he needed was a Sailor Scout to help him fight evil by moonlight and find love by daylight.

I actually got my shipping email like an hour after I posted this. Should come to me in NYC next Wednesday.

Got my Giant-man figure and despite the eyes, it is really great. I was a doubter as I have walmart Hank and nearly every other version back to Toybiz,  but glad I backed it.

If they don’t reissue eyes, I can live with side glance (not like I’m planning to stare into his baby blues.) Though the “scary” or “mean” eyes really should have the

The problem with mine aren’t “side eyes” as much as one eye is painted direct center and the other is offset to one side making him have a lazy eye. Happened on both sets of midline eyes but not the ones looking down.
