Really nice set overall. We finally get another comic Wasp!
Not sure how I feel about Janet's unmasked head though. She's giving Mommie Dearest/Serial Mom vibes...
Β
i think her unmasked head would work as a classic Duo Damsel of the LoSH Β just need to find an appropriate body. Β

I actually thought it would make a great Lois Lane head!

The set is now Sold Out in the Pulse site
That's interesting. I'm also surprised this set just kinda came out on its own, six months ahead of the HasLab. I wonder if the movie schedule shifting so dramatically opened up a production spot and this was ready enough that it moved up from fall to spring.
Giant Man from one of my sets came with two right legs. Came with a correct boots though. Anyone have a Giant Man that has two left legs? Iβd swap from a previous figure if I had the fodder to match. Plus, heβs got pinless limbs, so there are even fewer matches. Contacted Pulse to see if they could replace, but with the sell out, who knows. I have to imagine theyβd find a way to restock this. Itβs too vital not to.
Hey Hasbro - the Wasp/Giant-Man 2-pack sold out. Now bring on the Mantis/Swordsman 2-pack!
I wonder how a sudden in-stock drop (instead of the usual preorder with a several month lead time) affects releases like this. I can imagine people jumping on it out of the hype at seeing something brand new they can get right away.
Wasp's torso articulation is TERRIBLE. She moves forward a little, back almost none - it's basically a cut joint.

I don't get this recent trend with Hasbro skipping some or all torso articulation on certain figures like House of X Jean Grey, X-Men '97 Jean Grey, or now first appearance Wasp without even giving her a waist ball joint, but it's disturbing and I pray it does not continue.Β 😯Β
Β
Wasp HAS a waist ball joint, just like '97 Jean and HoX Jean. The range isn't quite as good as '97 Jean, but it's not just a swivel. Schizm is exaggerating.
I think the mid torso pivot on female figures doesn't look great. Hunch it over for a crouch, and it looks awful because it contends with the sculpted arch in the lower back. That joint is better for pivoting side to side, and arching, obviously, but that range is usually pretty limited.
So as we found out at SDCC, in lieu of doing a proper Haslab crowd fund next year, the Legends team will instead be introducing Dragon Man as part of a new limited made-to-order run.
If this gets us some mid range (between 9" and 2' tall) figures, I'm all in.
They said they have a huge list of items that fall into this price range if this one proves to be successful.Β But this topic should be it's own thread.
Back to Giant-Man--MCUCollector24 asked them when he's shipping, and Ryan said around October.
