I have similar concerns. I have a Dr. Mindbender-shaped hole right next to a Serpentor-shaped hole in my collection that say this isn't an impossibility.
I have not been a Pulse Premium member for several years and have both Dr. Mindbender and Serpentor - so your lack of those figures wasn't because they sold out to only Pulse Premium members exclusively.
Man, they're making these characters pulse exclusive? It just sucks ordering these from Canada. US$30 shipping is a killer, so I order a bunch of stuff at once, so I can hopefully sell to others in the area at cost. Then they're made available to other retailers for less than what I paid, making it difficult for me to unload them for a long time, if ever. So the answer is 'just don't buy from Pulse', which I'm increasingly doing, but of course there's maybe 10% of the items that don't hit retail (like the DD 3-pack), to keep your fomo alive :/
Enough with Pulse exclusives! (or make shipping to Canada more reasonable!)
EDIT: forgot to rant about how terribly packaged everything is so 80% of what I order shows up with damaged packaging. Screw you, Hasbro!!
Why do I already have small versions of Antman and Wasp? Are they from Marvel Universe? I don't mix ANY Toy Biz stuff with my Hasbro collection, so they aren't from TB.

This one is from a pre-ML Toybiz Avengers #1 box set. This and the Ant Man from that same set are staples in my Avengers display whether it's Hasbro or Toybiz.
Retro wave Ant Man came with a small Wasp, and retro wave Wasp came with a small Ant Man. Those should have been included with this set.....it would have cost them nothing.

This Wasp and the Ant-Man also came with the Marvel Legends wave 4 Goliath chase figure, which is where I got them from. I was hoping for Norm to fess up that this was the figure in his display so I could "Gotcha!" him with having a Toy Biz figure.

My gotcha failed! I almost bought that set several times solely for the mini-Wasp, it looks like a much better stand-in than the one I posted. Now that we're getting a proper figure I'm confident she'll show up sooner or later, though I'm still tempted to try and track it down!

Hank...what the hell is this? Another Sunfire body repaint. Why? Why not give him RYV Spider-Man body and sculpt his suspenders? Haslab Giant-Man has textured RYV body AND sculpted suspenders. Plus you already have great plastic lab coat. He looks so cheap, that I don't even want to display him. You were SO CLOSE, so close...

The fabric labcoat is a definite choice and I don't like it. Didn't that the labcoat already come swappable on Mr. Fantastic? And the length - it looks like a button down shirt, not a labcoat.

Yeah, the cloth lab coat goes straight in the trash where it belongs, just as the one that came with Beast did. It looks ridiculous and has no place in my display.
This 2pk really should have been part of the Haslab rather than them trying to drag it across the finish line without giving you $40 worth of figures. Much less scaring those that want it with FOMO behind a paywall that may or may not matter a la those GI Joe exclusives that sold out during Cons to folks that didn't even have Pulse Memberships, much less go to the convention. "For the fans!"
They look nice enough, don't get me wrong, but I'm glad I'm not a "collect the whole Marvel Universe," kinda ML guy.
This classic Pym and Wasp 2-pack looks like a home-run, but I honestly just don't have anywhere to fit another, smaller Pym and Wasp into my display, especially with the Haslab on its way. I'll probably wait until it's deeply discounted to pull the trigger. Same with the SHIELD 3-pack. I just can't logically throw $80ish down on 3 figures that I technically already have, but when these go down, yeah, I'll snag 'em.
I think it's just getting to that point where Hasbro really has to release figures of characters that have never been in the line and the most requested alternate looks for major characters.
@jtmarsh They stated multiple times that not including these was a deliberate choice to 1) keep the price down and 2) keep them available to those that want them but didn't want to spring for the Haslab. Plenty of people here and elsewhere seem to want this set but didn't go in on the Haslab - maybe they would have ponied up if they had to, but after the Hellcharger failed they were obviously hyper-sensitive to any criticisms about paywalling desired figures. Damned whatever they decide, but it's an understandable choice.
