I guess we're on to other things now that it's funded, which is natural, I guess. I'll throw my hat into a couple conversations and do so as succinctly as possible:
"Conspiracy theories" by mods on other boards: I don't see it. I just see a guy writing down what he THINKS happened which may or may not agree with what others THINK happened. So what? Hasbro is not a transparent company to begin with, no one not receiving a Hasbro paycheck knows for sure.
Next year's Haslab: Fin Fang Foom. All the supposition and analysis about perceived problematic naming and sculpting and articulation, forget it. It's Fin Fang Foom all the way!
Will Hasbro throw in a "good faith" zombie head?: Nope, forget it. They won't do anything outside the bounds of what they have written down. It would set the expectation that they do it every time.
All of the above are small potatoes. Giant Man funded. Three cheers for Giant Man!
I wonder if they could give backers a choice of Skrull head OR Zombie head? It wouldn’t make much difference to me, but I would probably choose Skrull head even though I have the MU Giant Skrull. I don’t like the zombie head because usually zombies have white out irises. The visible/normal-ish irises throw me off. And the other zombies we have aren’t comic Marvel Zombies, they’re MCU What If Zombies, so they technically wouldn’t work together. Zombie Giant Man would work well with those Marvel Select Zombies though, and I don’t have them.
Â
No, they used the same flesh color for the zombie figure as they did for the What if figures. This faceplate is 100% made to go with the What If Figures. The comic version also looks really different, particularily the teeth.Â
Â
For reference, here's the comic version:

Veering off the rails here, but what is the in-universe explanation for how characters like Phoenix and Firelord (who are ridiculously cosmically-powered to the point they can manipulate things at the molecular level) can become infected by a zombie virus?
Â
I have no idea what Haslab will be next year. As a MCU collector, I wanna see the MCU get a bite at the Haslab apple. But barring that, I think Foom would be hard to fund. I think he'd have unique parts to him that would make him more expensive than Giant-Man is, and I think he is a bit more niche. That's just my 2 cents.Â
I backed and I'm super excited! However, I LOVE me some Skrulls so my intention was to display him as a Skrull. I REALLY wanted the Skrull head! It won't happen, BUT it would be cool that since we got so close there would be an option to SELECT whether you want the Skrull head or the Zombie head. That would be cool.Â
Â
As for the next Haslab, I think it's the only way we get a big Imperial Guard team. Start with 8 figures for $225. With each tier, add a new figure.Â
Â
I'd also LOVE X-Tinction Agenda Cameron Hodge!! I would lose my mind.Â
Â
We won't get Skrull head unless there were some numbers unaccounted for somewhere and it bumps it over. That being said, they sculpted the thing, maybe they could find a way to sell it on its own or include it with some sort of other program to give people a chance to pick it up, it's a shame to lose it, but they laid out the terms, it's on us that it didn't make it

The only thing is, during the last hour or so there were many people having issues processing their orders and I am sure more than 111 orders were attempted and failed due to this. Â
Â
Yeah, I don't see us getting the Skrull head tossed in, but I could see them tossing in like a tiny wasp or ant man or something like we've seen with Micromasters in the transformers one.
Â
An MCU one is cruious. Like what would you do? The obvious one is Giant-Man, but like I don't see that happening. The MCU Quinjet?
I can't see them doing MCU Giant-Man. Especially the year right after another Giant-Man campaignÂ
Worrying about Fin Fang Foom causing controversy is just silly paranoid talk. He could do well as a Haslab. Maybe even better than Giant-Man. He's a giant dragon and could work well with other lines, so I think there's potentially some crossover appeal with Giant-Man didn't have.
I don't think adding in the GM Skrull head would necessarily be a bad move by Hasbro. That tier was really close to unlocking. It's not like they fell 1k shy.  It would be a nice gesture, but they're not obligated to do so. I don't think it sends a negative signal either. I doubt future campaigns would suffer because of it.  Another Haslab gets close and then doesn't thrown in the next locked tier? So what?  I don't think there's a danger of precedence or expectations. Some people will always complain no matter what.  Again, I don't think we'll get the Skrull head but I also wouldn't be surprised if it somehow makes it into the final product.
2024 is the year of the dragon. Just saying.
Ooh... let them do Fin Fang Foom and then as one of the stretch goals offer an alternate crotch/upper thigh combo so he can wear the purple shorts.  And then down the line they can offer the orange version since they wouldn't need new tooling and they could leave out the purple pants.
Â
Heroclix delivered all three versions as Colossal figures... Hasbro can do it  🙂
Â
Â
But really, if Fin Fang Foom is considered a bridge too far, maybe they could do Devil Dinosaur as another $200 HasLab and include Moonboy as part of the base offering with Moon Girl as a tier incentive and then maybe a smoking jacket for those Nextwave fans.  Â
Â
Of course then we'd be faced with endless "Mattel only charges $69 for it's colossal T-Rex, why is this one worth $200" diatribes or whatever.  Still, I'd be in on that.

Â
If you did an MCU haslab, you could use it to fund a collection of smaller figs that just don't fit price points or whatever. What about like a 4 pack of hammer drones from Iron Man 2?
