Dan Yun is on Unparalleled Universe.  He just said he only slept one hour last night because he sat on the Haslab page refreshing it over and over.  😳

… and Dan confirmed he gets messages from people saying they hope it fails and that he, Ryan & Dwight get fired.

Just not the behavior of well-adjusted people.

The most satisfying part is shutting up the naysayers. My Giant Man will be giving them the finger. And he’ll be sporting that shit-eating grin.

My man, you were literally one of the naysayers. 😀

I wish I shared the optimism on this one. Maybe I'm trying to set myself up for disappointment so that if it does fund, I'll be relieved/elated. But right now, it just doesn't seem likely based on the current pace. I'd love to be wrong.

I think there’s a difference between what you quoted and what I’m actually referring to. I’m talking about those who wished for this to fail, for real people to fail. I’m talking about toxicity within the fan base. And I think you recognize that. But thanks for calling me out like that. Since I love to be wrong.

Hasbro charged me at 9:23pm before they even sent the "congratulations, it funded" email - that's a little ridiculous.

And I guess why they couldn't/wouldn't extend the deadline - they'd have to rewrite the legalese and they want their $2 million loan from their customers ASAP.

Giant-Man:

13,889 / 10,000 (+6,184) 138.89% of funding goal.

Well, well, well.

What do you do Hasbro? What do you do??

The answer is nothing of course. Just like with the Skystriker, the final tier didn't make it so no go for the Skrull head. Though I will be pleasantly surprised if they did decide to do it anyway. However I expect they will not.  The only real hope is that after the fact numbers come in and bump it up.  Guess we'll know in a couple days.

Glad to see this funded and got a nice push in the end. This is most closely tracked to what happened with the Skystriker Haslab. Now we have another data set in that regard so we can probably better project a future Haslab that funds on the final day.

At least the ride is over, for now......

Congratulations to those who back Giant Man! Finally! Hank Pym deserves this figure to be made.

Kinda sad that I do not have extra funds to back this project up. Was actually hoping for it to fail so that Hasbro would release a smaller and cheaper version that I can afford. Prices even for the alternatives are still too high for me. Kinda sad that I sold my SDCC Giant Man a year ago to pay for stuff.

I guess my display will still have a Giant Man hole after all. Hoping to pair him with Wasp next year. Also, hoping Hasbro would release his Goliath suit in a better body.

Congratulations everyone! We made it!

And with that, Hasbro has (technically) replaced every Toybiz BAF that came out. But if we want to get specific, I guess we're still missing Hasbro's version of Onslaught's 2nd Form and Giant Apocalypse. 🤔

I wonder if the glitch earlier with the Australian site that went down gives them a little wiggle room to get to 14,000.

I can’t sleep, but I’ll bite

the numbers will probably go up or down in the coming days due to credit card issues. We might go up a bit but there’s also a risk that number comes down which doesn’t help us get the extra head. Here’s hoping.

I realize how stupid my earlier comments were.

Yay! Really looking forward to Giant Man 🤗

I am shocked the first tier was unlocked, and even more shocked we are only 111 from tier 2.

C'mon Hasbro, just throw the Skrull head in...not that I will ever use it, or the zombie head.

Congratulations to all who backed this!!!!  looking rorward to seeing lots of Giant Man pics in a year or so.

now commence speculation as to what they do for the next HasLab... do they stick with another big guy now, or go with a vehicle, playset, or roleplay item.  hmmm

Really impressive final day, and very glad the project did so well after all was said and done. Congrats to everyone who wanted him! I hope a smaller Giant-Man is made more likely, not less, after this success. There are about a dozen growing characters that I'd like to see made, and they can't all be 24", so hopefully this encourages some more big guys and gals in the deluxe (12"-18") format.

I do hope that there is a consideration of including the Skrull head since it came so close - of course they're not in the business of giving stuff away for free, but if they're roughly 120 backers away, at 200/each that's $24,000 in missed revenue. How much would a company like Hasbro spend on trying to drum up good PR for themselves, and wouldn't it cost more than that paltry sum?
