Aaaah, screw it. I threw in for a second one. If it does fund it'll be barely over the line and it won't be hard to make that money back, and I'm happy to be out that money for a year to help it make the goal!

I was disappointed the Hellcharger didn't get made last year, but was hopeful for 3rd-party options - and Ramen looks like they'll come through. Not so with Giant-Man, and I doubt Hasbro is touching Hank again for a while if this doesn't make it, and certainly not in this grand format. Now or never to get the best version of Giant-Man we're ever likely to see!

I want it to succeed b/c it looks really cool. Same reason I buy any action figure. I can figure out the rest later. Isn't exactly rocket science.

This. Exactly. At this point in my collecting-life, I only really care about the toy, whether it’s cool, and whether it’s cool enough for me to pay what’s being asked. I don’t care about how others view my choice(s). I don’t care about the wellbeing of the company that makes the fig. Nor do I care about the personalities behind the manufacture (barring serial killers, despots, and rapists, etc…of course).

Yes, that is why I backed it. It is a really good figure. I can understand why some aren't backing it due to finances, size, or lack of interest in the character. But this is a really good figure at a reasonable price for the size and the features. I will be bummed if this isn't funded, but it is what it is.

One thing I do have to say is - I thought the smiling faceplate was the dumbest thing ever! What promo pictures do I like the best? The one's with the smiling faceplate, no contest!

I ordered the Dragonfly, and I ordered this, and now I NEED Giant-Man to be a reality so I can recreate this scene:

Don't let me down, people!

Oddly enough, the Marvel Legends pages I follow on Facebook have been unusually quiet today.

The subreddit basically isn't allowing posts outside of the mega thread

I wish they would throw in the stretch goals for 10,000 backers. I would back two of them right now.

I need Giant-Man fighting Giant-Skrull in my collection.

Okay, that's fine.  But if you don't care how others view your choices, why tell us why you make your choices?

I mean ... don't those two statements kinda contradict each other?

I went ahead and ordered a second one.  Even though I live in Southern California and space is very, very expensive out here.  Like derrabbi says, I can figure out what to do with it later.  I just want this thing to fund.  For me, for all the fans that want one, and for the guys who worked on it.

So it needs to average a little over 200 backers per hour the rest of the way to get there.   With the last few hours bound to be heavier this seems like it's probably in decent shape
