I'd love to see figures from the Neversoft Spider-Man games or Wolverine's Revenge but those would be weird looking. At least somewhat. if they give us Wolverine in his basic costuime from the game or one of his classic alt looks, those have the benefit of at least looking like a digitized render of an artist's specific likeness. (I.E. Sean Chen, Lienel Yu, Alex Ross, Barry Windsor Smith, etc...) With the Spider-Man Ps1/Dreamcast suits they were clearly holding that key animation together with scotch tape from the looks of things.

Lot more new on Rhodey than I anticipated.

I just wish Rhodey came with two shoulder cannons instead of one so you could do the player two position as well as player one

I got Wolverine / Silver Samurai.  Gotta be honest I'm not feeling this $60 for two figures.  Yes I realize a lot can be considered new.  I'll wait til I have them in hand, but I doubt I'll be getting much more than Psylocke / Thanos from this line given the prices.  So nice of Target to drop the Weapon X preorder on us too during the same mad scramble to get Psylocke.

I can live with a bunch of future Marvel Legends reveals that I don't want this summer.  Getting a lot of "hey it's the same character but slightly different from the one you have" isn't going to last long with me unless it's a character I genuinely like.  We'll see what SDCC brings.  Fortunately I don't want anything from the F4 movie wave.

30 per figure. Huh. Not really feeling that.

Ahh... I  torn on that Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai set.

On one hand, I want it. On the other hand, I'm one of those people that needs a Cyclops to go with my Wolverine, just because I feel like they compliment each other.

So I don't want to get MvC Wolverine and then they never do MvC Cyclops.

Yeah... I don't think I can pull the trigger on the Wolverine/Samurai set at $60.    The new Wolverine body is nice but the exaggerated head fins, boot tops and claws aren't really my style.   New shoulderpads and a silly grimace aren't enough to get me to rebuy that figure.     If this ends up with a sale price of less than $50 I'll probably pull the trigger but that extra $10 charge is enough to keep me away.

The Psylocke is new and different enough that I will pick that package up -  but I have no idea what I'm going to do with another Thanos.

Anyone else getting burnt out from the same characters being released over and over again?  Like I get that there are new collectors all the time, so it's important to have the popular characters available.  But for longtime collectors, we've had tiger-stripe Wolverine in the Apocalypse wave, the Love Triangle 3-pack, the VHS line, the '97 line, and now this one.   And that's not even counting variations like the Hulk 2-pack.  But at least that one's supposed to be a different era.  The rest of them are all '90s Wolverine.

I don't know.  At this point, I'm not really interested in re-buying a character in the same costume I've already gotten multiple times.  I'd be much more interested in either a new costume or a new character.  Like Necrom was the main villain for Excalibur in the '90s, and he hasn't gotten a single figure yet.

I know, I know, Wolverine will sell a million more figures than Necrom ever could, Hasbro's a business, their goal is to make money.  And I know, no one's holding a gun to my head and saying I have to buy anything.  I'm just saying as a long time collector, I'd be more excited if it was "here's a new character or costume you could add to your collection" a lot more than "here's a character in a costume you've already bought multiple times with some slight tweaks that we'll classify as upgrades."

Ordered both Psylocke and Weapon X from Target, I don't want to say "surprisingly easily" because I assume nothing until it's in my hands if it comes from Target / Walmart.  At least it says we're supposed to have Betsy and Thanos in hand by early Aug.  I can wait til October for another underoos Logan.

That said, yes we are getting a lot of the same characters over and over, which was my "meh, why am I buying these again" feeling I had with the X-Men 97 wave.  Some I ended up liking quite a bit, but it's true, very few do I actually get excited for anymore.  In terms of core X-Men, Betsy was a hardcore want.  Other than a finally decent Iceman, a white/blue and red/white blue-skinned Archangel from the 90s, X-Men suited Cannonball, and red/white v2 Shatterstar there's very few characters I have left that are "have to have's" and not some niche personal want like Team X or the Phalanx.  They could probably make a bone tiara Marrow / Gene Nation Marrow though and I'd likely buy both before being officially done on Marrow forever, so there ARE a couple looks I'd like to get that I don't even think of as being on the "major" list.

I missed out. Was driving to work and couldn’t log on. Instant preorder sellout never gets old with frustration. Hopefully they become available for preorder again soon. Or just show up in massive quantities once released.

Yeah, set the stupid alarm for 5:50 am so I could get on and pre-order but got my order in for Psylocke and for the Weapon X.     I'm going to have to find a use for that Thanos though -  I already have the Thanos I want and old man Thanos on my shelf.    I don't really need another one.

I skipped the Wolverine set yesterday and will be skipping the War Machine set for sure as well.   I will order the Captain America/Venom set.    I like finally getting another smooth costume Cap and a new color Venom figure can just be a different symbiote in my Symbiotes display - there's lots of them now.    Juggernaut and Shuma Gorgantos are definites tho.

And of course, I missed the preorder for Psylocke/Thanos.

For some reason I had jotted down 1pm as the start of the preorder window.

Oh well, don’t really need another Thanos anyway, and I’ll be ok with the Psylocke I already own.

Target preorders suck, though.

And the closest Target to me is a 2 hour drive, so I can’t do daily checks at a physical location.

*sigh*

Pretty excited to get nab the Psylocke set. It's still not the Jim Lee look most fans want,  but it's pretty darn good. Big fan of the Vs games so this entire program is a must even with the making America great tax.

Ugh, also missed yesterday's Target preorders. I was looking at 1pm, when the Wolverine set went up, and it was nothing, nothing, nothing. Then by the time it was there, it was sold out. I have missed all the recent Target preorders under similar circumstances, and it's driving me nuts.
