Sometimes there are figures I want from a box set but not all the ones in the box set. Recently I was able to get the Spider-Man from the Amazing Friends box set and he is my favorite Spider-Man to date. The colors are perfect the articulation is awesome as he can hit all the Spidey poses I want and he has a ball/hinge neck. He of course loses the head tilt the retro Spidey has but he can look up so much better. I just love posing and playing with him. I love to find the box set Daredevil loose someday.

This is a weirdly specific question. I don't think I've bothered to buy a box set figure separate from the box set it came from. I can probably narrow down a figure that's my favorite from box sets I've bought though. And are we talking three figures or more is what counts as a box set? Or do 2pks count?

I’d say Hela.

Was Radioactive Man a box set figure? I bought that on eBay loose. I'm a sucker for translucent neon green toys.

In hindsight, I also really want that Warbird costume Carol from that set. Or, more accurately, that but on the new Black Widow body.

Cull Obsidian. I preferred the single Proxima and still had the other two figures, as well as a Thanos I liked more, so Cull was an eBay purchase.

house of m iron man was too cool so I got that from that house of m box set

chased down a translucent invisible woman from variant f4 box set cause that was the only way to get her after ml2 torch, thing and ml5 reed to complete the team

I bought multiple "Renew Your Vows" 2-packs just for the Spider-Man figure and then sold off the MJ/Spinnerets.

I also bought a couple of the Daredevil 3-packs just for the DD figures and likewise sold off the Elektra and Bullseye figures.

Both the Spider-Man and the Daredevil are my favorite figures of those characters.

King in Black Venom is currently my definitive version of the character, I adore that figure. It's just so much fun to pose compared to every other Venom figure in Legends.

Purple Man, Enchantress, Dread Knight, etc are some figures that I got, sans their box set buddies.

I think I have always bought the box set itself, but I did buy extras of comic Ghost and Dreadknight because I liked them so much.

It might just be me, but I actually like the A-Force She-Hulk.

Usually I wind up buying the whole set because it's cheaper than hunting down one figure.

I just did that with the DD three-pack. Love the DD, didn't need the other two.
