I could give a F about the House of Windsor. The show is really good, certainly the performances are. Goes to show what makes a piece of art interesting is how a subject is approached far more than what the subject is.

I'm looking forward to the movie! I've enjoyed Pedro Pascal in just about everything that I've ever seen him in, but have mixed feelings on the rest of the cast. I'll try to reserve judgement until I've seen the movie and how they all work in their roles.

I personally don't really care about any MCU style figures of the main cast, but if that's the only way that I can get figures of Alicia Masters, Red Ghost or Shalla Bal then I'll certainly take them!

@derrabbi I totally get what you mean, honestly. But it's gonna be even lower on my list than Mission Impossible 4.

@ru1977 Oh I get it. Not arguing for anyone to watch anything. I on the other hand don't watch films with Tom Cruise in it. Imagine if he had been cast as Iron Man. MCU would have flopped.

@derrabbi right?! At least for me. Damn, and probably never would have taken up collecting MCU figures. I could have saved so much money (had Tom.Cruise played Iron Man), heh.

Not necessarily.  Cruise is very dedicated to his projects.  MCU Iron Man would have been different, but I think it would still have been a hit.  RDJ alone didn't make the movie a success.  Certainly, he was out of the box thinking for what type of actor typically portrays heroes in films.  But the MCU Iron Man movie probably would still have been a success with Cruise in it.

Fan casting is always unimaginative and by the numbers.   Chris Pine played Captain Kirk and then fans were casting him in every lead role afterward.   Fan casting would have never gotten us Michael Keaton Batman or RDJ Iron Man.

While I wouldn't have chosen Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards, I don't have a problem with the role.  He's out of the box thinking regarding the role, but he's also almost catering to nerds, since after Mandalorian, fans want him in everything.   Still, I'm open minded.

Vanessa Kirby was great in The Crown.  Of the FF characters, Sue Storm is the most flat personality-wise, so there's room for an actor to put their stamp on the role as long as the role isn't underwritten.

If that's the finished voice for Thing, it'll take some getting use to.  But it's not a dealbreaker.  Thing is one of, if not THE, best Marvel characters, so hopefully the movie does at least him justice.

I'm a big FF fan, and I hope this movie is good.  I don't hate the first two Fox movies (they're ok and have some decent elements) but there's certainly room for improvement.   Also hoping the movie is successful enough for us to get some more comic FF figures, although we may have to burn through MCU figures first.

I really hope the movie ends up being a hit, and super entertaining. I always felt really disappointed by the 2000s movies and I never watched the last shitty one.

I'm not terribly excited for the figures because they will almost feel like placeholders for the final looks when they reach the MCU Universe in the next Avenger films. I like the costumes, and I'm sure the Legends will be great - but they won't be the costumes they'll be wearing when they team up with the Avengers... if that makes any sense.

This will be the first fantastic Four movie I'll actually watch . I skipped the Trank one because the trailer was enough. I had no interest in watching the two Fox ones. I've got the Corman one downloaded and plan to watch that at some point. Of the four that have been made it's the only one I'm actively curious about, for what might be all the wrong reasons.

I would have never seen Iron man if Tom Cruise had gotten the role. I actively hated the idea of it, and I couldn't stand the way Tony in the Extremis comic arc was drawn to resemble Cruise because it was in talks. I've seen Mission Impossible 1 and 2. As a fan of Hard Boiled, The Killers and A Better Tomorrow I only watched Two because of Woo, and I should have known by Face/Off that "American movie Woo" was Poo and no amount of doves that flew could undo the American Woo Poo stew.

@ibentmyman-thing exactly my feelings on John Woo. And actually, for me Jackie Chan's best work was done in HK as well.

I had blocked out the doves. Ugh.

As far as figures go, my sole interest in this movie was if it could get me a human-sized Thing that would fit in with my current comic FF shelf team.  He looks great, but unless he gets stripped down to his shorts, and that's the look Hasbro decides to make, I don't think it'll match up.

I'm getting figures from this movie no matter what. Their costumes look fun.

@ashtalon I don’t think Iron Man would have flopped. It would have been as successful or not as action films are. I think there is no world in which Cruise’s performance could then become more or less the lynch pin of a 30 or whatever film universe.

Cruise's Stark would have been a completely different character than Downey's. I honestly don't see Cruise doing a better job than Downey. Would it have flopped? If they had the same script and director? I don't see it flopping. Worst case scenario, it wouldn't have been as successful, but not flopping.

@dathing one thing about Iron Man that still enrages me, as someone who always maintained great movies require the foundation of a strong script, is apparently much of that movie was improvised and the movie was more or less found in editing. It blows my mind and I honestly don't know how well Cruise would have done with that. Maybe Tropic Thunder says otherwise, I dunno. I doubt it would have flopped, yeah, but I would have definitely skipped it.
