I think a removable beanie would be cool. I actually dig the Fury figure. Yeah, a bit like a statue, but remove the beanie, and he looks WS esque. Kingpin is amazing. Agatha is amazing. Love the wave outside the BAF, lol. The BAF figure is fine. I just don't care about the character
If they do a beanie on Darcy I sincerely hope it's removable and her hair is fully sculpted underneath so both hat on/off look good. I popped Fury's beanie onto someone else and the hair makes it look silly.
Course, I can barely get Fury to stand - Hasbro has GOT to retire those spindly legs. His arms are crap, too - all four extremities came bent straight outta the box. Has anyone pulled his coat off to see what torso he has?
Hydra Stomper is the figure I want the most. But I am curious to see it in action.
Got Nick and Wilson yesterday. I really love Fisk's face sculpt. Feels a little small but I think it's just because the comics Fisk is so massive. Perspective or something.
Nick... love the removable beanie and didn't know that was a feature til it popped off his head and I had to chase it under my desk. But the long coat with the spindly legs make him hard to pose or stand. I get why design-wise they gave him a closed coat but I'm not wild about it. Disappointing since I wouldn't be surprised if he'll be the last MCU Nick we get. (Funny to get a wave with two figures with almost no motion below the waist, even if their overall sculpts look great.)
I got Fury and Yelena, Fisk is supposed to arrive tomorrow. Fury... I'm cool with since he's usually behind the Avengers on my shelf anyway. I appreciate the accessories at least.
Yelena... isn't perfect but still an improvement. I'm probably gonna get the Thunderbolts version too though, ugh.
That's my struggle with Yelena- I haven't opened her yet, and I'm deciding if I really need to. I know she's just going to get another figure in a year or two whenever Thunderbolts comes out, and that'll (hopefully) give them time to work out the imperfections they're still struggling with. The lack of goggles this go-around really is a bummer, and I like the look of the concept art for Thunderbolts. I like Yelena as a character quite a lot, but do I really need 3 figures of her, especially when the inevitable Thunderbolts look seems to combine the best parts of both of her looks? Or do I return her and save the money for the slew of upcoming releases? Ah, the struggles of a collector. 🤪
@joshsquash729 Yeah, definitely see where you're coming from. And I agree it combines her looks.
Of course it's concept art so we'll see what she turns out looking like, or if that's just a costume she wears in the first act and we get a figure of a less desirable suit she wears the rest of the movie. but yeah, what I can see of her hair is cool, the goggles and vest make it stand out from the simplistic Hawkeye costume. I believe I just convinced myself, damnit.
I needed multiple Yelenas:
Yelena is turning out to be the Psylocke of MCU figures - takes multiple figures to get one accurate version! Got one to fix original Yelena's horrible hair (I already swapped her legs with Natasha's to get her height down) and one to make shorter because Hasbro - really? And then I've been debating on a body for Maria that wasn't her SHIELD outfit and was thinking about a Black Series Vel Sertha - but this actually works for her, a bit like her SM: FFH look, and the widow bracelets slide off. However, that neck!! Trying to figure out whose neck would be worth it to harvest, but apparently the necks are glued in? Last time I tried that with Firestar I got blisters trying to remove it. Any suggestions?
But I really don't like inaccurate figures if I can fix them.
I'm kinda upset at how inspiring that is to try part swapping on my own...
I'm not sure if the "MCU wants and needs" thread is on this new forum so I guess I'll just put it here lol...
Disney just announced a re-release of Werewolf by Night now fully in color this Halloween. This would be the perfect chance for an exclusive or 2 to come out. A lot of people (myself included) want these figures in color so that works too!
I'd only really need Werewolf, Jack, Elsa, and Ted. I liked the hunters and the hostess but I doubt Hasbro would make those.
On the next page of threads there's ones for MCU Wishlist, MCU Movies/Shows (general MCU thread) and another for Missing MCU Figures, but this one can work too since it's Disney Plus.
Thanks for sharing that, I hadn't heard about the color version being released! And you're right, perfect chance for them to do at least a set of the Werewolf and Man-Thing.
Ah ha, thanks Ru! Looking on the next page would have been smart of me lol.
I'm so curious to see what the beginning of next year looks like for MCU figures. NWH is obviously going to be the big finale for this year. Unless there are a couple MCU surprises on the horizon. But with the writers strike kinda giving Hasbro time to breathe after the onslaught of projects from phase 4 I'm curious to see what all they do with the time. If anything at all.
@joshuakat Right, good final note there with 'if anything at all.'
It makes a lot of sense for them to do some catch-up releases during the strike-induced lull, but I don't have high hopes. Maybe we'll get a brand new character or two, but I'm ready for a lot more repaints and updated heads. I would love for Hasbro to make me eat those words though.

I saw that! I'm sure I'll give it a rewatch just to see, but I think the black and white added to the charm of it. It was an homage to the old horror movies of the past. The b&w helped set it apart, I think. So I'd probably want the figures to be black and white as well, if they were ever made. Of course, I just want them to be made at all, so if all we ever get are colored versions, I'll be fine with it. Then again, are we fanboys ever really satisfied with what we get? 🤣
I was thinking the same thing about the B&W being what set it apart, but whatever. I'm guessing both versions will be available? Apparently the color version has a more mature rating though, and some people crave that.
