Really fun seeing most of this year's Avengers stuff together! I've only picked up Hawkeye and Widow so far - it's wild they can put out this many figures at once and I still have an Avengers wishlist that's a mile long. Would love if they could keep this output up ever year.
I’m up to speed with this stuff so far with the exception of the Veranke/Illuminati-Skrull and Banner/Hulk sets, which I’m going to pass on both.
Since I can’t army build Skrulls (since Hasbro won’t make the troop builder readily available on their site) I figure why bother. Plus, I’ve got the first Jessica already and don’t need this for her.
as for the Banner/Hulk set, I’ve never been a big Hulk fan so it’s an easy pass. And like others have said, I’ll wait for a Banner solo release in purple pants and get that.
My Target has at least 8 to 10 Monica/Doom sets, and for whatever reason, they are not moving.
Hoping they stick around long enough to hit clearance as I would love a second Monica.
The least common piece from this line for me has been MK 1 Iron Man. I don't see that in any Targets, though some claim to have them in stock. Maybe once or twice at GameStop. Monica/Doom, Skrulls, Banner/Hulk, and Thor/Destroyer are all VERY common and plentiful around here. When Widow first hit, it was before the reset, so I saw a case at each store before she dwindled and the rest of the wave joined. I've seen Super Adaptoid only at GameStop. Waiting for a price drop for Sersi/Black Knight. And waiting for WM to fulfill/cancel Barnes Cap and/or Joe Fixit.
Post over on Marvelous News about Vision preorder being available later this year. I'm glad he's getting made but disappointed in the execution - the lack of sculpted details in the boots and torso/girdle piece are shortcomings in the figure that are hard to overlook after several attempts.

Agreed. It's good, but should have been great...we know they can do it.

Basically my lone complaint as well. I think the gloves and boots look particularly sloppy. I could probably live with the girdle, though if Hyperion got a unique sculpt, why can't Vision?

I also feel like the new Vison's cape seems off somehow, like it floats above the shoulders and looks odd. I know I'm being nitpicky. I'm one of the few people who actually likes my current Retro Vision, but I'll probably pick the new one up as well.

Completely fair. If I were to pick one up, I'd replace it with a soft goods cape anyway, so I rarely comment on pre-posed plastic capes.
My main issue with the retro Vision is his build. I think in general, they've never used the right body for Vision. I think they come closest with the Vulcan body, but I agree that the boots and abdomen details should have been prioritized for once.
A little off topic, but I hope the next major redo to go on the Vulcan body is Punisher. Been a while since we got a standard version of him, which I think was the from the first retro wave!

Not that I disagree, but I do wonder given that the comic company has elected to deemphasize Punisher at the moment if Hasbro will be able to produce new Punisher figures in the old costume. I wouldn't be surprised to see a figure with the most recent logo... but curious if the social environment will keep Hasbro from revisiting Frank's classic duds.

Ugh, I didn't even think of that. That would be lame.
I’d bet Hasbro isn’t prevented from doing a new Punisher with the original symbol; they seem to have quite a bit of freedom so it’d be where and when they’ll do it, maybe a Marvel Knights second wave or (More likely) Fan Channel.
When was the last one? the Legendary Riders?

Maybe... Marvel does have to sign off on what they release - and can dictate. It comes down to whether this matters to them. They made a choice as a publisher to de-emphasize the classic look and there may be an edict to lay off. There also may not be. Like I said, I'm not advocating for a ban... just considering that there might be one.
Is the nonsense about the Punisher skull just speculative from the nerds? I get that the latest storyline had a variation of the logo, and it looks like the Punisher will be someone else for now - but eventually they will go back to the skull once the headlines ease off.
