And Cottonmouth. For a character whose whole power set is based on biting, to only have a closed mouth head, is ridiculous. Especially considering he’s a character that is highly unlikely to be revisited any time in the next few decades.
I wonder if they wanted to try and show Blade is a vampire. Cause yknow, we wouldn't know unless he's got those knarly teeth hanging out. It's not like 99% of the people going to buy him know who it is anyway.
And the Syrin comment made me chuckle. Hasbro is so weird.
How to posit this delicately...
Is it possible Siryn got a neutral portrait because when we see male figures with screaming expressions, we see a scream, but when we see a female with a screaming or open mouth, there are...other unfortunate associations? So Hasbro is just playing it conservatively/safe?
As I’ve been going through junk this weekend, I came across a bin that had “Tony Stark A.I.” in it and was reminded of how ridiculous it is that those mofos have yet to make a classic definitive Iron Man on that buck. I need that to happen. Hopefully with pinless limbs too.
I'm not a fan of drop-down hips generally - done well on some imports and on Hasbro's Beast, but a flaw on the otherwise near-perfect G.I. Joe Classified series.
But man are the drop-downs on the 2-pack (w/Bob) Deadpool terrible. So floppy they absolutely ruin the figure. Trying to tighten them but tough to do for hip joints.

Yep! Totally agree. I remember a lot of love for the drop down hips when they first appeared in Hasbro lines. I never really got it, but it didn't bother me until now. So many figures lately have such floppy hips that hinder posing rather than help.

If they're going to make a "definitive" Iron Man, I'm going to need a new sculpt. At this point, I don't particularly like settling for anything that has less than the articulation of the RYV buck (except the toe joints, I don't care so much about those). An Iron Man with a diaphragm joint and butterfly joints would be great.
@popoman I'm with you. Diaphragm and butterflies on everything going forward. I'm disappointed when anything that gets a new/dedicated sculpt (the Marvel Knights wave Daredevil, for example) is lacking those.
Seconded! Diaphragm joints just make posing better, and when cut in the right spot, look great.
I’m not a height stickler, unless it’s really egregious. So all the “Actually, the official handbook says…” stuff usually goes in one ear and out the other with me. Skin tone stuff bugs me tho. Karima coming away looking like a white woman in the Tri-Sentinel wave is probably the biggest offender that comes to mind.
As for reuse related inaccuracies, I don’t mind it for lesser known characters since in most cases I can get how the economics work out. Like I don’t mind Detroit Steel being mostly Iron Monger reuse since that’s realistically the only way it’s getting made. But when it’s an A-list character that comes away like that, I have a bigger issue.
I'm in the camp of keeping my Retro carded vision. Aesthetically this one just looks boring to me.
I grabbed one loose without the Ultron head but was thankfully able to offload it before its value completely tanked, but I just bought another cheap (with the head!) because I thought Hasbro would slamdunk the next Vision and they did not. Why does Hyperion get a unique torso set-up but Vision doesn't when it's the same bodice look? The shin and forearm cuts are awful and the cape is uninspired? Bummer.
Is the PS5 Spider-Man the wrong shade of blue? I haven't played the game but I like the suit design and I can't tell from the promo photos if it's correct or if Hasbro Hasbro'd it.
A poster on reddit did a nice job of repainting, and I like that shade much better, but trying to determine which is accurate.
