@jtmarsh I have the retro wave blue & white version right next to me, and they are gold to match the visor...which also matches the comics.
Thanks, that's what I thought. Other than his thinner 2000's+ era visors I've never known Scott's ears to be uncovered by the visor that I can distinctly remember. Plus those look rather large and round to even be ear coverings, it looks like it was sculpted to be the extension of the visor.
On another note, it did occur to me that the new Agent Venom unmasked head might make a decent Doug Ramsey head for anyone looking to put together that character.
Hopefully this can be pointed out to the team and fixed before these go into production.
Really liking all of the reveals, but I only have so much shelf space. Going to preorder Marrow, Cortez, and Husk, which are probably the less popular characters of this wave. Been wanting a Marrow forever, and now I just need Cecelia Reyes to go with her and Maggot on my shelf. Very glad they are continuing with the Generation X team, hopefully we get an Emma and Banshee eventually.
Don’t have any AoA figures except Nate Grey (who doubles as 616) Dark Beast (same) and Jean (because I was trying to finish Sugar Man), so I wont need Gambit. This also reminds me, anybody need an AoA Jean Grey?
I'm legitimately so irritated about AoA Jean. I kept telling myself I should grab her to go with Weapon X, but I also kept just kind of not doing it. And she was like 5 bucks (Canadian!) for a while in certain places, or thereabouts. But I kept putting it off still. Now she's 30-ish Canadian, with shipping, on sale at BBTS (and similarly priced locally).
Stupid stupid.
@panthercult Either way I hope it happens. I bought 2 of the original X-Men boxsets to get another human Beast to make my custom, but never even took the 2nd set out of the box. There have been a lot characters that could've been simple repaints that never happened, but this particular suit vs the blue and red was only for a few months (a few as human, then a couple more as fur-ball before he completely ditched the suit altogether), so I won't hold my breath.
I'm sure Hasbro didn't know X-Factor #1 was supposedly inaccurate. I've never heard that before. I'm not at all surprised though because colors change a lot and many artists don't care about consistency as much fans do. I've seen Kirby and his colorists mistakenly change colors within a single issue before.

It's just kinda interesting if that's the reason the figure has blue ear covers (and of course I don't know for sure that's the case). But if so the figure is based off of a single image, since his ear covers were yellow inside the issue and on subsequent X-Factor covers.
But we've seen them base figures on single specific images before. Usually whatever comes up first in a Google image search.
Either way it's certainly not a deal-breaker and I'm still happy to get that version of Cyke in Legends. Hopefully his teammates in matching costumes come soon!
@theknightdamien Amazon has her right now for $12 (US site) if you need one with the Sugar Man part.
I haven't been as psyched about a Legends figure in a long time as I am about Marrow. I adored her when she showed up in the comics when I was a kid. Never thought we'd see her in this line.
I am such an easy mark for these mixed team/era mutant waves. I don't need another Cyke but I've always just... REALLY liked the Scott figures they've made in the past, so I'll pick him up. Kurt's always an easy buy for me, and I always make fun of myself for being like once you've owned a Wolverine... you kinda just keep buying them all.
Funny thing about Nemesis - I play that truly mediocre mobile Marvel Strike Force game (it was my "killing time between photo shoots" game when I was doing real estate photography years ago and just kinda... keep logging in and playing it between meetings or Zoom calls inexplicably) and Nemesis was on a team I used a LOT. I kept thinking now here's a guy Legends will NEVER make. Pre-playing this forgettable mobile game he would've been a meh figure for me, and now he's like Oh I gotta get him just because of the game.
...that truly mediocre mobile Marvel Strike Force game...
OMG! This is the funniest and truest statement ever on Fwoosh! That game sucks but I can't stop playing it! The made up characters that are so overpowered are ridiculous, as well as the fact that a powered up Kate Bishop can defeat just about anybody including Thanos, Ultron and Dr. Doom.
@beamish It is so dumb, and so bad, and yet I log on a few times a day for 10 minutes or so and keep building little squads and I can't stop. At least I don't spend money on it, but I have a severe case of "I wish I could quit you" with Marvel Strike Force.
I hate this game. Did I spend 90 minutes last week unlocking the Shadow King? Yes. Did I judge myself for it? ALSO YES.
That being said, the Nemesis figure looks pretty cool and I dig that they're making him. And I was steadily annoyed that my most powerful team for like nine months was Nemesis, Archangel, Dark Beast, Psylocke, and Magneto.
