I always thought of that costume as brown and yellow - but he changed into that costume at the same time that Scott changed into the Blue with White X and Jean changed into the Red with Yellow X
But - if they release beast in the red/blue and jean in the green/yellow - there's every chance they would double dip and repaint them in these colors too. Why wouldn't they if they thought they could get people to rebuy. Put them in a multipack with Iceman with that silly belt and maybe the "wings down" version of Archangel/Death? Or a series of 2-packs... Jean vs Death; Scott vs War; Iceman vs Pestilence and Beast vs Famine? I'd buy all of those...

If we get one human Beast, I bet we'll get a repaint so they get use out of the new tooling (along with a Mimic, natch).

Speaking of it, is it me or Dwight's tease looked like a psycho blast without its colors??? We know he loves outback Betsy.
I think it's the flechette metal feathers that X-Force Archangel will be flinging from his wings.
Don't want to sound ungrateful, as I know the Marvel Legends boys peruse the boards, but not feeling that Holocaust / Nemesis at all. Granted they're doing an Uncanny X-Force wave, so I'll assume it's more focussed on that and I will hold out hope a true AOA version is in the works. Until then I'm happy with Gambit, even though he has no throwing knives / spikes.
Main complaints are minor. Marrow needed an angry face, as is the nature of the character during the time they're depicting; she was quite angry. Husk has major RBF and looked disinterested. I can appreciate they did the peeling face from the Gen X ashcan / promo art before #1 was released. But I guess I'll be using my de-masked Walgreens Mockingbird head for Husk afterall as I doubt I'll be displaying either of the heads she comes with. It was nice that they tried to depict her powers though. May have to find a metallic female hand to go with her. Wolverine I'm fine with as I liked that look for him, and it's just another expression head to put on my 97 tigerstripe body for the ultimate 90s Wolverine in my eyes. I'll likely get the whole wave as it's enough of what I want, aside from the X-Force Holocaust that can now join my AOA Iceman who looks more like he's from that run anyway.
Overall very pleased with the wave, the BAF was just a major personal "dammit" during my viewing of the stream.
Holding out hope for more AOA stuff. Not a Spidey guy but may have to see how Chameleon's head looks on AOA Morph's body. I like the pink on Kaine as well. Happy to have jumpsuit Xavier as well, just not a fan of having to scramble to deal with Target.

It looks decent, I peeled the hair off and used conical pointed tip q-tips to take the white mask off with non-acetone nail polish remover. I run it under cold water after doing a little bit so the plastic doesnt get melty, and then let it sit to dry for a few hours, then do a little more. Looks like a totally normal blonde woman, and I dare say a decent Paige or Emma Frost head for anyone needing one. I wonder if a black suit Walgreens Emma Frost head(s) would look decent on Paige's body as well?
If you're more precise you can avoid having to repaint anything and just need to glue the hair back on. Found this from Reddit, isn't mine.
This Wave is tasty. I shall purchase it. I would prefer Nemesis to look like the old Hasbro Marvel Legends BAF, just updated. But I am still happy to get the character and think this version looks pretty awesome. I'm just more used to the other look.
But I didn't collect Legends back then. So, I do not have a Nemesis in my collection.
Honestly - even if that Nemesis doesn't feel like an X-Men villain to me since I'm not familiar with the look, that's a figure that looks like it would fit right in on my New Eternia Villains or Thundercats shelf anyway, so... I might be tracking down parts to build a second one, who knows.
I like Nemesis, not enough to buy the figures though, I’ve no interest in any of them so I’ll see about tracking down the parts.
Did any author ever explain how Nemesis survives without a body? I know Magneto did something extreme to Nemesis after he killed his daughter Scarlet Witch in the Age of Apocalypse and that Dark Beast built the suit for him to keep him alive somehow, but I've never heard a semi-plausible explanation for how this radioactive skeleton guy is still alive. Mutant magic?
I showed my 9-year old son the Nemesis figure, and he said "is that Ghost Rider?" Good call, the similarity between those two hadn't occurred to me. 😀
This Nemesis is Genocide from the 616 universe and is a different character than AOA Holocaust. The Genocide figure looks amazing!! Definitely one of the coolest character designs around. He has shown up a few times, in X-Force, Uncanny Avengers, and that Heir to Apocalypse story. Such a cool looking character, and the figure looks great. Makes the whole wave a must-have for me.
Id still love to get an updated AOA Holocaust figure, too!
Marrow— I was not a fan, but then I saw the super dynamic action poses of her—she looks super cool actually. Great power set as well—reminds me of a character from Naruto whose name escapes me at the moment.
Cyclops and his new optic blast effect look fantastic! Love energy effects like this.
I don’t know who Husk is. But I did like the Monet figure a lot.
Cortez is cool to get. Hope we get figures of Senyaka and Exodus.
@enigmaticclarity I think King Hyperion essentially inhaled all of AOA Holocaust’s energy in the Exiles comics. So he is still sort of dead.
The BAF is 616 Genocide.
It is very funny this is like the second or third time the character has had to have his name changed for toy purposes.
