I came here to tear the 3 of them for saying X-Treme a bunch when referring to that Wolverine. But it is most definitely based on his X-Treme look over the Ultimate. Subtle differences, but it's X-Treme.
Sounds like we'll get more from that team too.
As an X-Men fan, today's reveals were really exciting. The new BAF wave looks solid, eve though I won't be getting most of those since I collect mainly the most iconic looks for the characters and Gambit, Wolverine, Kurt and Scott are in lesser known outfits. And I don't care about Cortez. BUT! they all looks great and I will buy Marrow and Husk for sure. Wish Hasbro included and alternate head for Marrow with her more...rough look.
My favorite part of the reveal thought were the confirmations that we'll be getting more Savage Land and Capcom characters. Common Rogue, Shana and Psylocke! I need a good version of my girl in the Jim Lee costume. They have to go all in on her before we finally can give British Betsy some love.
Speaking of it, is it me or Dwight's tease looked like a psycho blast without its colors??? We know he loves outback Betsy.
I'm in for the wave. I just hope we get other team members in matching outfits eventually. Completing an X-Team is nebulous, but completing a team in specific looks from specific eras should be doable.
Dang, Marrow seemed like a perfect use for the new reverse ab crunch female body. I think they missed the mark on her face too, she looks very bored. Was pretty stoked for her but now, meh.
I only buy MCU figures, except I did get the AoA figures. So I will likely get Gambit and Nightcrawler. I do want Nemesis also. Yeah he ain't AoA accurate, but he also isn't an outdated figure that's like 200 bucks or more. So I will take the new design lol. I won't buy this wave on full though. So gonna have to get the BAF parts later
I like this wave. Definitely want Husk. Marrow will look great with Maggot. X-Treme Wolvie is fine, I just prefer the AXM costume from that era. Ultimate Wolverine should be taller. X-Factor Cyke is kind of a snooze, I prefer blue and white. Nightcrawler is a good addition to UXF, as well as Nemesis, who looks great. Fabian Cortez and the Acolytes are not characters I'm clamoring for. And Gambit is a good addition to AoA. Not all winners for me. Gimme some male members of Generation X though. And let's not forget the male counterparts to the Dani Moonstar figure we got. Need at least one of the guys in that uniform, then heads for the others.

This is exactly the costume I want but I wish she had an angrier expression with the bone crown. BUT - I still have the 3D print head with that exact look so I'm good. 🙂
Love Husk's hair - it looks like the ToyBiz prototype. And glad they changed her upper chest. Yes, I've already customed her onto the shelf but happy to replace and love that she comes with a pound of flesh. 🙂
All the dudes... sure. Gambit can be Wiccan and... yeah, I'm not stoked for any of those, or the BAF. Do like Cyke's blast effect.
I echo whoever said it above - that Professor X is EXACTLY what I have been asking for for years and another custom I never got around to. Thanks Hasbro team! I know exactly where that figure is going on my wall AND shelf. 🙂
I'm not fond of how BIG that Pym jumpsuit is. I knew they'd reuse it for Xavier, so he's gonna tower.. if he's left standing up. I guess I'll just stick him in the hover chair.

Nah, they can blame Jesse all they want, this is straight out of the Hasbro playbook. Put the modern one out first to get people to buy that, then put out the classic version people want. And that's not me pooping on the BAF - it looks cool and I may get it cause I want a majority of the figures. But I'd rather have the classic, which - mark my words - will be coming in a few years as a deluxe figure.
I already expect Husk to be my favorite figure for all of 2025! I'm stoked about Marrow and Fabian as well. AOA Gambit I will buy just because I already have all of the other AOA figures. I will definitely pass on X-Treme Wolverine and will only be buying X-Factor Scott and X-Force Kurt for the BAF parts. Zero interest in Outback Prof X unless he hits Target's 70% off level of discount at my local physical store.
I feel like they probably just really wanted to do a different look of Nemesis than the one they already did. I still have that one, but the canopy over the skull head is broken. Annoying. I need the update, regardless.
Cool, now Angel can drag Husk into the sky and bang her in front of her mother, like Chuck Austen intended.

I was actually hoping for the BAF to be Cameron Hodge, either the spider-legs version or (ideally for me) the Phalanx one. Having some Phalanx representation on my shelf would be awesome, probably the biggest want for me for X-Men villains.
I know they're not among the most popular or consequential villains, but the build up to Phalanx Convenant and the fall-out creating Generation X was, for me, right when I transitioned from reading one-off comics months or even years after they released to regularly going to local comic shops. It was fun to see the build-up with Phalanx stories over a year or so before the big cross-over -- and it even got an X-Men animated series two-part episode!
I wanted an update of the classic Age of Apocalypse Nemesis. I can always wait for a box set with all four classic AOA horsemen.
Marrow is a nice add - but it does feel like they got her skin tone wrong - unless it was toned down in subsequent appearances I always thought of her as more pinkish/purple - but it looks like she's been depicted all over the place - and I know how this team likes to use the first image they find on google, so…
While the lazy Googling for obscure characters has been a problem, in this case they’re very deliberately pulling from Bengus’ design for her from Marvel vs Capcom 2, which they alluded to during the livestream (“She’s gonna take you for a ride.”)
Even the bone swords are the same.
I guess that's fair. I think of her from her comic appearances where her skin was much more pink/purple usually - but I do remember people indicating that her inclusion was video game inspired, so I guess this stands to reason. I don't necessarily love it, since I know her from the comics and not a video game, but I guess this gives them a reason to re-release he later with a repaint in a darker hewed skin tone.
