I saw somewhere that the X-Men rumored wave is scheduled for Christmas! Has anyone else heard this?

Seems like a stretch if they haven't even shown the full wave yet, but it would be smart if it was available before then. Since there's a decent likelihood that it's going to be a "fan channel" exclusive wave, it could potentially come out very quick, I guess.
Speaking of X-Men, I was thinking: I think the next '97 wave is coming out in June, because that would coincide with Wolverine, Rogue and Gambit's re-release dates. It would make sense to re-run those around the same time as figures in a similar style are on the production line and it makes sense because those three characters are not in the rumored line-up - or in the rumored complementary two-packs. Well, a Wolverine is, but when has that ever stopped another Wolverine?

It's very possible they could unveil the whole wave during their annual end of the year recap/draft video which should be within a month, then it could immediacy go up for order on Pulse and other Fan Channel places.

Almost definitely expecting the wave to be revealed in the December fanstream, which was on December 14th last year. Would be wild to have it go up for immediate order, though. They've only been able to pull that off for Pulse exclusives like the Ant Man/Wasp and Animated Spidey/Vulture two-packs.
I just expect a reveal next month, but it would be wild if it was in our hands that soon. Last December they revealed X-Men '97 Wave 2 and I remember buying them around March. Really looking forward to seeing the BAF and getting Fabian Cortez.
I wonder when we get the new '97 stuff given the corporate fuckery taking place on the production of the show.
The retro Iron Man set was one of my favorite waves of 2024. Three great Iron Man armors we needed updates of, an excellent classic She-Hulk (finally), and two never-been-made villains - all on retro Iron Man cardback that hit the nostalgia so well. This is the lineup for the rumored Iron Man wave in 2025:
Iron Man Wave
- Iron Man (Unspecified)
- The Mandarin
- Punisher (War Machine)
- U.S. Agent
- Unspecified figure
I could definitely do with a new character in that mix. Hopefully an Iron Man villain like Melter or Unicorn, or a needed remake/first costume of classic Ghost, Living Laser, or Madame Masque.
Love this potential lineup! Really hope Titanium Man or Crimson Dynamo make it into the lineup. They both got vintage carded figures back in the day!
I'm just putting this here since for a couple pages we were talking about the potential of Hasbro giving up the Marvel license in the event they cut ties with Disney both due to sales and the fact Hasbro may want to get away from making physical toys themselves.
First off, Dan Yeun from the Marvel team said they would at least be making Marvel Legends into 2026. I guess they have already begun work on figures and waves that will release in 2026.
So, no matter what we should get all of next year and some if not all of 2026. I mean, hopefully they reup the license and just keep making Marvel Legends (and Star Wars Black Series) beyond 2026. But, if they would give up their partnership with Disney, at least we get figures into 2026.
Also today, it was announced by Hasbro they would no longer Co-Finance movies. If a company like Sony or something wants to pay Hasbro for the right to make a movie of Hasbro brands, Hasbro will do that. But Hasbro themselves will put up no money towards films.
They will instead focus on gaming, such as the current D&D video game they have in development.
So, another step in the direction we've heard. Hasbro wants to focus on Games and Gaming. Tabletop Games, Card Games, Board Games, and Video Games. And today they cut one more thing on their way into doing just that.
So, no matter what we should get (Legends) all of next year and some if not all of 2026.
So, for MCU fans, this means we'll get probably at least up to Avengers 5, but maybe Spider-Man 4 as well.
Man I hope they have Storm, Nightcrawler, Cyclops, Rogue, and Kitty in Avengers 5! I haven't read anything at all to make me think that, it's purely my figure collecting side speaking.
Hopefully, Hasbro will just renew their deal with Disney, and you won't have to worry :). You'll still be getting MCU figures in like 2029 when we're in the "Mutant Saga"
But who knows. Maybe we'll know the answers come NYTF in March. While I don't want Hasbro to give up Marvel or Star Wars, it certainly wouldn't surprise me at this point if they did. But hopefully they can negotiate with Disney. Star Wars and Marvel are huge brands, but definitely not what they once were.
I'm hoping Disney and Marvel can work something out that's beneficial to both parties.
@supercamel-1982 yeah, I wouldn't blame them, especially after a lot of the points made in this thread. But i feel pretty lucky with my Star Wars black series collection as it is. I do hope they stick with the Marvel license for the mutant saga at least. The scale issue is a big one to me and I'd love to say I wouldn't start over. I think I have said it... But I was probably lying. Particularly to myself heh.
Dan also mentioned there is a focus on team completion in 2026.
Is that because:
-That's what collectors have wanted for years and they are finally listening to us.
-They know that it's possible they lose the license, so they are going out with a bang and completing some teams just in case.

B.
If we continue to play the hypothetical loosing license game, Rachel Phoenix is mandatory before they go. How do you leave one character dangling out there for this long?
Beyond her, completing the original Thunderbolts would be nice. But they would have to pony up for all of them which is why I'm skeptical that will happen. Atlas is prefect for the new "oversized" model they have going on, Moonstone would require all-new buck that can't be reused, Techno can get away with a reuse buck but they'd have to put in effort with the back pack which is his whole gimmick. Finishing Thunderbolts after doing the three easiest characters years ago would be awesome, but sadly I don't think we're going to see it.
So does the Marvel license expire at the end of 2026 if they don't renew? Meaning we'd still have two years of releases?
Yes.
