I'm of the same ilk. Neither Falcon made it into my collection. I'm not buying 3 or 4 versions of a character before they get to the classic look I desire. If a classic version doesn't get made, I'll just do without. I'm tired of the game of almost but not quite.

Seriously, I swear to Zeus, if they make Cortez before Exodus or Frenzy I'm gonna, I'm gonna...well I aint gonna do nothing but I sure won't be happy lol. C'mon man

I mean maybe if its one of these close but not quites is in a BAF wave where I want the BAF then maybe I keep it instead of just selling it off for $15 or whatever. I've still got my TB Falcon. Despite his MANY flaws he still works better than the Falcons that appeared in 12 issues in 2003 or whatever. Hell I'd buy a FA Green blaxplotation 70s Falcon for my Capt Amer shelf and leave my TB and a hopeful Hasbro replacement on the Avengers shelf till then.
Can't imagine the Miles figure on the rumor list is based on it, but the new suit he's getting in November would make for a pretty cool looking figure, imho.
@ghetto_gepetto totally with you Exodus has been in my top ten, Frenzy a definite want; Fabian Cortez… not even on my radar
Honestly... I only know who Exodus is because people talk about him on this board, and I've seen a few very nice looking custom figures pop up on Ebay. And at one point, I was really into X-characters.
Personally don't need a Fabian Cortez and for some reason I never liked Exodus, but give me a Frenzy for sure!
So... the Shuma Gorath thing is maybe the least surprising bit of news to me - because we had heard Hasbro had a Shuma Gorath figure finished and ready to release in conjunction with the Multiverse of Madness movie and then they ran into a hiccup - likely about clearing the use of the name on the packaging with rights owners - that stopped that from happening.
that shuma rumor i always pegged as big though, so i'd be curious how they do him. i personally want one quite bigger than the MvC scale

I was thinking that as well. Shuma in MvC is just a bit bigger than human-sized, but in the comic he's usually gigantic. The rumored Shuma we were supposedly getting as a convention exclusive was supposed to be super-deluxe sized, so that sounds too big for a MvC Shuma.

Yeah, He's going to be an interesting figure if he doesn't have bendy wire... because he's just a ball with a bunch of legs essentially. So in theory i could see him as a large deluxe you just snap the legs onto in pre-posed positions, but you can snap the legs on in any spot you want. I feel like that could be done fairly cheap, but if they're bendy wire tentacles... that's a different story
I can see them just articulating his legs at a few positions like the MCU Iron Spider figure in the 2 pack with IW Iron Man had. Ultimately, they'd only really have to make 1 tentacle and just copy it a bunch of times. Maybe dedicate 2 to act like legs

Eh X-Men #1 was the biggest selling comic ever and he was a central villain who also appeared on the show. There's 10 figures I might want before him sure, but this leak definitely got my attention. I don't give a shit about the vast majority of Marvel Legends reveals but figure there is an audience for them. Cortez will be great to have for 90s X-stuff and I hope more Acolytes are possible. And hopefully they invest in Gen X too.
@spideyboy1111 The snap on approach would be fairly similar to their Xanathar for the D&D line. Bendy wire is cool, but honestly that Xanathar was pretty rad.
