I'll be down for any version of Karla they release, but her Dark Avengers look is my most-wanted most because we're so close to finishing the team. (It'd be a no brainer to include a Carol alternate head too to get a bunch of us to buy two.) Would love to see her Thunderbolts or original looks, too, though.
Echoing the wish for a new Ares - love the one we already have but I'd love to see a modern body version.
It amazes me we haven't seen more X-Factor figures yet. Their looks are so easily made with existing body parts and repaints. Seems like easy filler (not a knock on X-Factor love the comic, but filler as in a way to save money on sculpting).
Don’t get me wrong, as much as I want Karla in her original/Siege of Avengers Mansion look first and foremost, I’ll also happily take her in her Dark Ms. Marvel outfit if that means it comes with an alternate Carol head.
Her Meteorite look is crucial as well for the Thunderbolts team. So I guess it boils down to me saying as cynical as my previous statement was, I’ll be one of the suckers buying her alternate looks as well.
If they do yellow/green Jean with yellow/blue Cyke it could be a great set - give them both swappable heads (cowled and uncowled) and it will be a fantastic set.
Call me naive or optimistic, but I bet this is what we get.
Anybody into the Portacio uniforms?
Also, while looking for that, I finally found an image of what was almost Portacio's team when they split the teams. I haven't been able to find a color version of this for so long! I used to have shirts with this and Jim Lee's team in high school but my stalker took them.
And the Jim Lee one for fun:

is prof x topless in the background there?!
I struggle to remember much about that X factor myself. I was to you to read them at the time, and when I ‘caught up’ in the lte 90s/early 2000s they didn’t particularly stick with me. I like the idea of a smaller cast and a pretty stable main adversary though.
on a toy front I kinda feel these ‘straight spandex’ costumes can be a bit underwhelming too. Especially paired with a calf cut - looks distracting to me when it doesn’t line up with a boot etc (I’d love ML to do the macfarlane ankle set up - though executed with better placed/more detents). Makes me wonder how easy it’d be to add a super subtle seam in sculpy or something along the costume colour break, as I do like the costumes of that team otherwise.
Excited for the capcom stuff. Can’t wait for that game collection to come out!
the x-force costumes for those characters aren’t my favourite ones, but interested in seeing them!
What is throwing me off about collecting Marvel Legends recently is that their tactic of taking forever to finishing teams is almost insulting to fans.
With all the improvements we got recently, some of the characters on the teams are starting to looks like they belong in completely different lines. I love the no pin and digital printing on the faces but now some of the older figures really didn't age up well. Imagine how much better Rachel will look next to the lacklusters Meggan and Kitty?
Just put Lady Mandarin next to Jim Lee Psylocke and the difference is absurd.
I get that maybe they think this a way to keep people collecting but sincerely, we collector love finishing teams, and Marvel comics has so many amazing teams a lot of us would love to have complete that having characters sprinkled here and there without true commitment is really frustrating.
On the X-Men alone the potencial is almost limitless: First Class, Second Genesis, Blue and Gold, Outback, Morrison, Astonishing, Revolution, Mutant Massacre, X-Treme, Disassembled, Krakoa, From The Ashes, Age of X...plus all the satelite books. I mean...
It's so satisfying when they release multi-packs or even full waves of the same teams... How cool would have been to have Gen X, Outback or Astonishing released like they did with Alpha Flight, AOA or the Hellfire Club?
Sorry for the rant but I'm really frustrated with the lack os consistency.
You can't really ask them to not make better toys over like a 20 year span. When your line spans that kind of time, yeah the older ones are bound to not look as good small potatoes characters are not going to be endlessly remade. Just the nature of the beast. Why I won't be bent out of shape cause my MCU OG Avengers may not be painless across the board
I think the point was to not stretch the teams out over a decade or more so there is more consistency in the quality of figures. A sentiment I totally agree with.
Give us more box sets or simultaneous releases like the X-Men 60th anniversary sets. I recently complained about the Alpha Flight box set using already outdated bucks, but at least there is a consistency when those figures are displayed together.
The Inhumans (when and if we ever finish the team) are going to look so wonky with the outdated Black Bolt, Medusa and pizza spidey Karnak mixed with the upcoming Crystal, Lockjaw and presumably pinless, updated molds for Triton, Gorgon, etc.
I would concur on the time frame, but I also think that depends on team size and such. Something with a ton of members like the Inhumans is going to take time to do, and many probably will be out of date even if they push those higher on the list. That's all I am saying

Yes. 100%
Do you really want a good Sinister Six? Well...to bad. Half of them on the old molds now. Vulture is an old Spider-Man body. Kraven - Rhino wave reuse from 2015. The other half cost too much money on ebay. You are a new collector? Too bad...
Yep.Imagine how much better Rachel will look next to the lacklusters Meggan and Kitty?
I understand if it takes two years to complete a small team. But I'm not going to wait 5 years and expect them to "finish it at some point".
Two packs already seem to be at $55. Hasbro specifically said they drag out completing teams, do unpopular versions of characters before more in-demand iterations. It's all part of a marketing strategy, but they are losing fans (some of whom are dying off and others who are driven away by these practices). They don't seem to understand the X-Men customer at all. It shouldn't have taken them 16(?) years to update Banshee to a GSXM 1 look, never mind re-running at least a "Best Of" wave of X-Men '97 figs.

Sigh... even if the retailers asked for a "Best Of" X-Men '97 Wave - which is what would need to happen for Hasbro to run one, and that wouldn't have happened until after wave 2, since Target sent most of Wave 1 to clearance - the logistics of Hasbro agreeing, getting the molds back onto the production line, running the figures, getting them onto boats and across the water and out into stores - they wouldn't be on shelves yet, so you wouldn't even know if it had happened. This criticism is misplaced. There are so many worthwhile things to criticize Hasbro for, but this one isn't one of them.

This is not accurate.
$50 2-packs
Strange/Wong
Heroes for Hire
Rogue/Destiny
Zemo/Zola
Giant-Man/Wasp
Strange/Morbius
Cabal & SHIELD 3-packs - $75 ($25/figure)
Wolverine 2-packs: 4 different sets, all except for the Fixit (Sabretooth, Lilandra, Psylocke, FF Spider-Man)
$55 2-packs
Punisher/Bushwacker
Sentinels
This is just a scroll through the last year-ish of releases. Prices were definitely creeping up there for a while (I think the Goblin/MJ 2-pack was $55, for example) but the norm for this year is definitely $50.
They should finish teams faster though. I don't really connect with some of the complaints about outdated molds, etc because that just doesn't bother me that much. But, I do think you'll sell more of obscure team member x if people can reliably assume they'll be able to put together the whole group in a reasonable amount of time. The wait for Rachel is bordering on cruel.
I’ve gotten better about just saying no to the close but not quites. I’ve got an ok Moonstone stand in on my shelf which will do until they make the version I want. If they do a “Dark Ms Marvel” I won’t buy it unless it has a Carol head. Then I’m just buying FA Ms Marvel to go on my 70s mismatch shelf (maybe the cosmic one) and not Karla. No Carol head and I’m prob out on it.
The string along I think of late that is the most egregious is classic Falcon. Releasing 2 very close but not quites in the last few years is pretty predatory.
I totally agree with the sentiment. Hasbro is just taking way too long completing teams. What is the logic behind it? It just generates frustration among collectors. Above all when many are just needing one or two to be complete.
Alpha Flight: Marrina
X-Force: Feral
Excalibur: Rachel
Inhumans: Triton and Gorgon
GS X-Men: Banshee
New Warriors: Namorita (the version they released just doesn't cut it)
And I am only listing classic teams. They have started many others but I wouldn't hold my hopes up.
IMO, Hasbro should have a roadmap to complete teams they start. We'll see what happens in 2025.
