OK, but as I said -  you already have multiple recent, good versions of Captain America with the chain mail on his costume.    This one is for those of us who like the costume smooth because that's how it looked in the comics we read.    And the nice, new detail for this figure is the whole, complete shield and the fun shield impact effect.

I do get that it's annoying those good, previous chain mail Captain America figures came with broken shields so, to me the complaint would seem more reasonable that those figures didn't get a shield like this one.

But, anyway,  this Captain America is decidedly for me.     The good news is there are so many Captain America figures, we can all have one we like...

Cap looks great.  While I prefer chainmail on Cap, plenty of artists drew his costume without it.  So this is a good default upgraded Cap.  I'm sure they'll make an upgraded chainmail one as well soon enough.  At least with this 2pk, blue Venom should be possible to sell.

Gargantos looks amazing.

Wolverine is tempting, but I doubt I'd be able to sell Silver Surfer for much to compensate.

Same with Psylocke.  She looks good, but I'm not sure if Thanos will be something you can sell.  Maybe if he had come with an alternate comic head.

Again, arguing tastes.  All anyone said was that they'd prefer him with chain mail.  It's like saying you prefer Wolverine with brown eyes over blue.  He's been depicted with both.  No one's saying you shouldn't want chainmail-less Captain America.  Nothing anyone said wasn't "reasonable", merely a statement of taste.  By all means buy as many as your wallet can handle.

Have they mentioned the price point for these?  That Juggernaut looks to be Maximum price point or more?

Nope. It is the anniversary theme for this Fall, though, so those already tend to be more expensive.

Yeah. The price point is what’s gonna make it or break it for me. I technically am ok with my current ML figures representing the Marvel side even though the sculpt on these are more game accurate. I think I’ll only order Shuma and maybe Psylock and Thanos if they don’t t sell out by bots in 2 seconds on the Target site.

Storm Arena will cover the SF side. Jada Megaman. The other Capcom characters will be the real tricky ones

I noticed in reviewing the webcast that the new Juggernaut doesn't appear to have the detailed dents and damage to Juggernaut's various bands across his arms.  Not a huge deal, but I did enjoy the added "craggy" look on the old figure that made his suit look like it had seen some damage.

I'm not opposed to a new Juggernaut, but if he's gonna be $70 or more I'll wait for whatever sale comes along.  If I never get him oh well.

Plus if he's too gigantic and makes Colossus look small, I may just pass, as having him square off with smaller characters just may look too ridiculous, especially since I'd eventually like an oversized Onslaught.  Obviously Juggernaut and Onslaught aren't the same size even when Onslaught is "normal" sized not the size of a building.

This wave is solid. I love all of the improvements and they look specially good together as a collection. Now I want them to release Iceman, Storm, Colossus, Cyclops, Magneto and Spiral in this style so i can have my X-Men Arcade display.

Psylocke is a HUGE improvement on the previous figure. I love the colors on her, the sculpted details on her costume and the ton of amazing new accessories. That being said, as a Betsy super fan of course I have some nitpicks:

1. I really dislike her huge thighs. I know it's accurate to the game but I was hoping for something that would blend better with comic figures as well.

2. In the same vein, her face is very nice and I appreciate they are giving us two head options but she's just not pretty enough. Specially comparing to recent female releases (Crystal and X-23 come to mind). They still haven't nailed her Jim Lee Psylocke gorgeousness.

3. A bummer I have to buy a Thanos to get her. Would love is she came with another X-character. Spiral would have been a perfect fit. But would also love if she came with Omega Red or Silver Samurai. It would have made way more sense.

4. But the only really worse part is that she'll be a Target exclusive. It will be a frigging nightmare for us European fans to get her, specially seeing how so many fans overall seem to really want her. Poor decision. They better release her in a Retro card.

Agreed on most points, as you and I usually do when it comes to X-Men characters.

Psylocke is absolutely an amazing and much needed upgrade. As you said, the colors, sculpted costume details and accessories are great. The head/hair options are wonderful. And yes, the faces are very good but somehow not quite 100%. The thighs don't bother me as much, since she was sometimes drawn fairly voluptuous in the comics.

I love the new psychic butterfly effect! Thank you Hasbro! And the spinning/slashing psi-blade effects are much appreciated.

This classic 90s Jim Lee/Capcom Psylocke really would have made a fantastic candidate for the Maximum series. She has so many awesome energy attacks that would have been so cool for an action figure. The psychic knife uppercut, the drill/torpedo, the big psi-blast butterfly. Also a great opportunity for 3rd party sculptors to step in and provide (wink wink).

I'm glad she has a new psychic knife, but she desperately needs a more detailed take on it, preferably sculpted as a part of the hand. Oh, well. That can be included when they make Betsy in her Disassembled outfit (soon, please!)

@jtmarsh Yeah. Lots of things to think about for me with this line. Gonna need time to mull things over. Did they mention when preorders go up?

I think Psylocke is a character whose fans will just never be happy with her plastic likeness.  Her figures will never adequately represent the love for the character they feel inside. 😉   Magneto and Venom are the same way.  It seems uber-fans just can't seem to be satisfied with any of their figures.

Marvelousnews is saying there's a rumor (from someone who has had Mcfarlane leaks in the past) regarding an upcoming BAF wave:

- Comic Based Iron Man Mark 72 Armor
- World War II Era Logan
- Phantom Rider
- Dark Avengers Spider-Man
- Werewolf By Night
- Enchantress
- Crystar Warbow

Warbow would be great.  Phantom Rider without his ride would be unfulfilling.  Maybe a horse is the BAF?  Wave looks unappealing to me overall.  Another Enchantress before Executioner?  Sigh.

I don't recall Pyslocke ever being drawn with crazy thighs like in the Capcom games. The issue I have is more that her hair/face look nothing like the game version. And neither does Cap's face.

The saddest part is when they tried to pose Omega Red, who I guess is on the same old body, and he just looks like an old man trying to pick up a coin that he has dropped on the floor.

I mean... a list with Phantom Rider, Werewolf by Night and Warbow from Crystar  could never be described as "unappealing"

I get being disappointed in another Enchantress before we see Skurge -  that is a kick in the nads.   But maybe another Enchantress is the clue that Skurge is finally coming.

And yes - Phantom Rider without Banshee is a huge let down.    I'm going to cross my fingers that there is a plan to get us a horse which can then open the floodgates for more use of the horse as there are so many we need.

Ember - the flaming horse is getting some traction in X-Men currently, so maybe Marvel would want to leverage that with Hasbro to get the horse tooling done.

Dark Avengers Spider-Man could be a boring black Spider-Man on a bigger body - or it could be an Ai-Aipec six armed Spider-Man in black costume which would be way more fun.

Iron Man Mark 72 is the "Mysterium Armor" but doesn't seem particularly inspiring

World War II Logan seems like just a pretty standard Logan if we're using X-Men 268.   But I suppose there's an opportunity to put him in more military fatigues

Listings for the Fantastic Four movie figures are now live on BBTS and Amazon.

I don't do movie figures but I still pulled the trigger on Silver Surfer, Sue Storm and Thing anyway.

The Silver Surfer can probably just slide into a regular Marvel display - it looks nice.    I really like the head/face sculpt on Sue and decided to pull the trigger and the sculpting on Thing looks really good.    I do not like the looks of Reed and Johnny so those are skips.    Human torch - I really like the head sculpt and flame effects - but the body is just Johnny again cast in red plastic...  for Human Torch that might be an impulse buy if I see him or buy at a discount.     I wanted to like Reed but I do not like the costume and just am not feeling it in any way.

While Executioner is high on the top 10 lists for having never been done, I’d gladly take an updated Enchantress if not just for a prettier headsculpt.

Not too excited about the rest of the wave if true.  There are still so many never been done characters to tackle. Phantom Rider and Warbow were low on my personal list. But new is good!
