Mephisto in MVC was just a recolor of Blackheart’s character model due to sprite limitations, unfortunately (the Japanese designers mentioned taking inspiration from his more lizard-like redesign in the 90s). So I don’t know if Hasbro would include him and I’m sure fans would be bummed if this was how we finally got him. Abyss is actually a Capcom character with the same name as a Marvel one.

@panthercult Here's the rumored lineup btw - which the tease may have slightly confirmed.

Marvel vs. Capcom Line
Captain America vs. Venom 2-pack
War Machine vs. Omega Red 2-pack
Wolverine vs. Silver Samurai 2-pack
Psylocke vs. Thanos 2-pack

Deluxe
Shuma-Gorath
Juggernaut

They teased an effect piece that looked like Juggernaut's headbutt attack or whatever... so Shuma might be a showstopper tomorrow.

There is also presumably a flame-off version since we see his arm in that teaser image Dan posted some time back.

See.  that's what I get for knowing next to nothing about the Capcom games.   I played the original X-Men game in arcades but never played the vs. games.   So I wasn't familiar with the Mephisto redesign - and I would definitely be disappointed if the first ever Mephisto figure was a repaint of Blackheart.  And I definitely didn't realize Abyss wasn't the Marvel version

I had seen the rumored initial line up -  my supposing was if the line was a hit and they were going to do any follow up what could be in there and would it be worth looking forward to and sadly, for me the answer is likely no.

It's hard to imagine these figures being significant enough upgrades over the Legends figures I already have.   I have great versions of Captain America and Venom that I bought just this year.   I have solid versions of War Machine and Omega Red, so it would take something substantial to tempt me there.    I definitely don't need another Thanos, but if the Psylocke is good enough I'll probably have one.   And I could  be tempted by Silver Samurai if he is somehow different and better than the one I've already got.    But it's all characters I already have in my collection so they would have to wow me.

New Fantastic Four movie figures is giving me all the memberberries about ToyBiz' Fantastic 4 line, one of their best.

In addition to the Fantastic Four movie figures it looks like we’ll also see the Marvel vs Capcom stuff tomorrow.

Don't play with my heart. I will die if they end up only showing Wolvie and Silver Samurai though.

That Mr. Fantastic with the alternate limbs and torso pieces was a really interesting attempt to portray his powers. Didn’t work well in execution (way too brittle), but definitely ambitious.

Not really getting why all the F4 members look like they're wearing some sort of thermal underwear / sweater suits.  Particularly why the rock guy and the flame guy would even need such aspects to their costume.

That said, I'm likely in it for Psylocke / Wolverine.  Omega Red / Samurai are a maybe if they show something obvious to be worth rebuying.  Since it's videogame-heavy tomorrow I would assume the Punisher / Nick Fury game 2pk is likely a possibility as well.

I think these are being billed as 2-packs,  so if you buy Wolverine you are getting Silver Samurai whether they made him worth rebuying to you or not.    And to get Psylocke apparently you're going to have to get Thanos, too.

That Wolverine is pretty stellar. But Psylocke, they really knocked this update out of the park.

Gargantos / Shuma-Gorath was definitely the star of this livestream for me. It and the Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer are probably the only two "must-gets" for me, but I know that I'll likely buy all of the Gamerverse anniversary stuff, but I'll probably skip all of the F4 stuff except Surfer and maybe flamed on Torch.

Blue toothpick tease?

At the risk of starting some weird internet argument, I thought it looked green.
