@jtmarsh I'm super anxious to see this version of Betsy...I hope she comes with tons of accessories.
The only way I'm not getting her is if they make her proportions too exaggerated like in the game. I don't care for super "Chun-Li thick" Psylocke. I want her to fit with the rest of my comic book collection.
I think we're most likely going to get a proportional one as if you look at the other obvious-but-not-stated Capcom ones (Iron Man / War Machine etc.) they all blended in with the rest of the line physically but had a more spritely color / paint motif. My concern is an overly anime/videogame looking head and a skin tone that doesn't match anything but THAT head.
Honestly if they wanted to do a Maximum that I would willingly overpay for it would be a proper 90s Psylocke with plenty of accessories (sash, blades, psychically manifested blades and other special effects) and maybe a couple heads, one of which would ideally be a Crimson Dawn head if we're never going to get that look otherwise.
No neutral faces included is a sin in my books, and goofy smiles an even deadlier one. If buying and where possible, make sure you compare the smiling heads, because the tiniest shift in paint application makes all the difference. The one on the left looks nice, and then the one on the right, where the lips have moved up the slightest bit during paint printing, makes it look like she has buck teeth.
I'm so ready to pull her hair off and give it to Phoenix. I hope Hasbro hasn't made that swap super hard.
I've already done a hair removal, and it was relatively easy once I got an instrument in behind her ear to pry it away.
when they announced the Maximum Series I thought at first it would be focused on super articulated characters so Psylocke was a given to me together with Gambit, Daredevil, Elektra, Wolverine and the likes. But now it seems they will focus on A-Listers so if they do a figure of her I imagine it will alas be further down the line.
But yes, I would pay big bucks for a deluxe 90's Jim Lee Psylocke with many accesories, heads, hands, etc.
Edit: and yes, I agree with you: no anime face or cartoony colors on her skin please!

I mean - with a product that is asking people to pay double the price of a basic figure you had to believe this was going to be A-List focused. Just doing characters that would benefit from extra articulation would be super risky. I think Daredevil and Wolverine are high profile enough that it's definitely possible they get Maximum releases. Gambit, Psyclocke, Iceman - those might be tougher to justify unless the line takes off.
If I had to make a guess about the Maximum Line-Up for next year - I think Iron Man is probably a no brainer. Lots of ways to deluxe out an Iron Man release and he's a mainstay in Legends.
I think Wolverine has a very good shot. I'm not sure how they plus him up exactly - extra articulation' multiple heads - masked, unmasked, battle damage half torn mask?; hands with claws out, hands with no claws and maybe a set of transitioning with claws partially extended - or with two all the way out and the middle one just emerging; and some movement effects?
With the FF movie dropping I think it's possible a Maximum version of Human Torch could work - lots of stuff they could do with flame effects and accessories and they could, conceivably even do a swappable torso - one fully flame on and one sort of in transition with flames on part of the torso. I've already said that I think Dr. Doom would work well in the format. I suppose a Maximum Reed Richards would also have a lot of possibilities.
Punisher is another one that I think could be done well - include a basic costume Frank, but then have swappable "jacket" arms and a trench coat you can put on the figure - a couple of different heads and a ton of weaponry.
If I had to be money, those are the characters I'd wager on.

The right one also has raccoon eyes.
What an unexpected surprise - love it!
More new characters/ dark age updates please!
Outstanding. She looks great, and I'll be happy to add her to my collection and File-13 whatever redundant and/or unwanted figure(s) they pair her with.
Shanna looks fantastic. That hair sculpt is gonna be very versatile for customs!
@ibentmyman-thing All the debate about whether or not she could be done because of the costume is even funnier now.
Not a character I’ll be getting but they did a bang up job here!
She does look good, but I was hoping for the classic leopard print and red hair. Might have to sort the latter myself (as I don’t see her getting another bite of the cherry any time soon…)
Interesting that this didn’t (I think?) appear on any of the leak lists. Good to know there are still some surprises to come.
Feels like the tamest costume choice they could find for her while still aiming for jungle girl aesthetic, but I do miss the leopard print.
