The shin swivel is more of a place to swap in other parts for boots and such. And for a line that struggles with making painted parts match colored plastic, it's a nice tool to have in the drawer. The fact that it also moves is just a bonus and you either use it if you want, or ignore it. Most of the swivel points on Marvel Legends result in cuts to the anatomy that look unnatural, but they're also toys and they're never going to look perfect. There's an aesthetics trade-off with every cut made on a sculpt.
Dark Ms Marvel arrived from DeepDiscount. Not much to write home about, if you have Phoenix. That’s right, she shares the body with deluxe Phoenix, not Carol Danvers. The only parts they share are heads and arms.
The reused hair really bother me. This outfit should have come with Dazzler hair and long hair.
Are her bare legs at all a match for Moondragon? I think I have White Rabbit's bare legs on my custom Moonie and they are darker.
I don't have a Moondragon handy to compare. I couldn't even find my Disco Dazzler to pop a head swap, but I'm also pretty sure the Dazzler head is noticeably bigger than the Danvers/Sofen heads. Just popping Dazzler's hair on would likely not fit properly. The full Dazzler head may also appear to scale big on the body. The reused hair really bother me. I don't know if they'll match colors, but a possible swap (requiring a bit of surgery) for green uniform with yellow boots could be the female Hydra soldier. You'd have to slice the lower knee joint at the peg for both figures, but they share sculpts and should be swappable/compatible.

Agreed. Ideally they'd use ball-jointed ankles like they did on the old Red Onslaught wave Taskmaster. Short of that, boot swivels are fine. The lack of lower-leg swivel is one of the biggest issues I have with ML women.
I don't see the point in comparing action figures to the human body. Humans can move in a lot of ways action figures never will. Figures need extra points of articulation where they can get them to balance things out.

Same. There's always a limit (Amazing Yamaguchi being mine as I don't like the look of those), but generally speaking I want options when it comes to articulation. The human foot also can't bend forward very far, but I like the ankle hinge to give me as much range as it can. I'm not looking for an anatomy lesson when I'm playing with my toys, I just want to be able to hit some cool poses. And when you're talking about toys based on comic book characters, the more the better since they often are drawn in poses that a real human would struggle to match.
I dislike the new female torso. I think the sashes and belts distracted my eyes enough that it wasn't noticeable enough until I got Dark Ms Marvel.
This can become problematic because I favor female female superheroes.

It's hideously ugly.
Well we know what we can expect with the inevitable Psylocke rerelease then.
I don't have a problem with the way it looks, but a double ball torso looks and functions better. Get with the program Hasbro.
It's a bit tubular, and not in a good way. Hasbro is afraid to give their women shoulders unless it's a character that's known for being especially brawny. I can't remember her name, but the Wonder Woman looking figure should be what most of the Marvel women look like. Someone like She Hulk should be even bigger.
