I think the new directive is 3 of 6 figures will be an Iron Man, SpiderMan, Capt America or Wolverine going forward. Because they year they openly declared they plane to double their financials, upped production, cut the budget and the line teterred.
The electro effect being permanently attached to his face is... come on.
That deluxe Spider-Man is something special. It's finally a successor to the Toy Biz McFarlane Spider-Man. They got tired of MAFEX eating their lunch.
I can't wait to see Hulk. I like the 80th-anniversary figure, but he needs an upgrade.

This is pretty much all you could want. Down the line maybe they'll redo it with a lighter blue and more classic head. Excited for the Cap and Wolverine they do in the Maximum line.
Love Jean's big wild hair sculpt, but not loving the fact they didn't give her yellow boots, she has that ugly ab crunch on this skin tight costume that has no belt or sash to help obscure it, and there's no neutral head.
And I would have much preferred red costumed X-Factor Jean, even if she doesn't pair correctly with the new X Factor Cyclops.
Thinking I might just get Banshee and call it a day. Not liking Jean enough to pay eBay prices for her. Spider-Man is nice, but don't need another one, especially at what I imagine the price will be. And this is why I didn't get my hopes up.

The mini-comics wave also looks great. Love that Ultimates Iron Man and Rom!!
But how much is this ideal Spidey going to cost? They were very careful to explicitly list out 3 heads, and 6 pair of hands and how ever many web effects and the all new sculpt and the extra joints... even if this is the definitive Spider-Man figure - if they charge $45 for it, is it worth that? $40? What's the breaking point for "worth it" on price for this thing?
Very excited to get Dakken for the Dark Avengers! Hope we get an updated Ares someday.
