It's been mentioned a few times in the thread, but I wanted to give the full context. The Fwoosh Top 10 (and then some) was presented to the ML team at SDCC 2024 in the form of trading cards!
SpoilerLong Post
Huge shouts out to @beamish and @sdcomics - Beamish for running the Top 10 and following up to get the team's reactions, and SDC for doing the actual handoff and snagging pics and reactions of the team with the card packs. Thanks as well to all the Fwooshers who helped me find the right cards to pull together.
The full set was mixed up and split over the three packs, and consisted of the top 10 vote getters (including ties, so actually 16), the top 3 BAFs, and top Haslab choice. I wanted to round it out with a few more to make each pack feel substantive enough, so I threw in some bonus selections based on what I see around the boards - and, let's be honest, a little selfish choosing of my own.
The packs themselves were homemade - I tried to get foil printed packs made through a website that does such things, but they got flagged for using copywritten images.

25) Serpent SocietyEach row represents a single pack, though I might have done some rearranging after I took the pic to get a nice mix, not bunch all the top winners together, spread out the BAFs, etc.Knowing how much the team loves Marvel trading cards, this seemed like a fun way to get our wants in front of them. Hopefully they got a little kick out of it, and maybe - just maybe - that Attuma card will end up sitting on a desk somewhere, and catch the eye next time they start planning what to make next.
This is the most-liked post I've seen on the forum, and deservedly so. Huge kudos to the three of you for organizing this on our behalf. And without PMs, to boot!
Outside of random acts of generosity, this is about the best the internet (and human kind, for that matter) can be. Passion, creativity, and team work.
Cheers.
@tsi You're too kind! I'm just glad it came together, and grateful for the help and enthusiasm for it. As the forum has seemingly gotten smaller and less active in the last year it's made me even more appreciative of all the people here that are still (mostly) enjoying a common passion, and this felt like some small way to contribute to the Fwoosh name.
I'm going to do the exact same thing! Except, a horrible thought just occurred - the extra Kangs are faceplates, not full heads! That's kind of a huge bummer to not be able to use the extra heads on an old Kang.
use old Kang as Kang and new Kang as alt? Gets one extra Kang at least. Or buy 2 of these and sell the 2nd chair. You'll find buyers.
Good point - it's really just one of the face plates that will be redundant. And to JoMiHa's point, it might be possible to do some surgery to make the extra plate work.
I can tell you because I tried it, in anticipation of the new Kang figure: if you don’t mind slicing your fingers up, the faceplate on the Joe Fixit Kang figure is indeed removable from the purple helmet.
In the immortal words of Jacques Guillotine, inventor of the straight razor: everything's removable.
Death's Head will be available outside of Pulse?
Oooh, interesting - that's great news if so!
Making the new Kang's extra portraits faceplates and not full heads seems like a way to force you buy the new, higher price item if you want to build a variety of extra Kangs. Instead of just using previous release bodies. It's almost shady.

Thank you! That breakdown is much needed for folks like me with diminishing short term memory.
Yeah - the Death's Head was always announced as "get it at SDCC first" and not "SDCC Exclusive" - which is cool. Some of the other brands had con-exclusives but for Legends it was just a first shot at it.
That's my intention! And I'd like to up the ante next time with a more custom made product. PC suggested another route we could go with a sort of Marvel Handbook-style comic, too. Anything that gets our wants in front of them in a fun way is worth the effort for me.
If you do Handbooks I've got some covers ready...
At the risk of blowing up their spot - the page for Death's Head is up on Deep Discount.

You're not wrong, but you can use the old release; if I could cut off the faceplate off an extra Kang, I'm sure you can. Tedious and delicate work so you don't mess up the helmet, and very finger stabby, but it's definitely possible if you want to save the money on multiples of the deluxe.
It says "Available: 8/12/24"
You think that's the pre-order date? Or maybe it's the ship date!

That's usually the ship date for most other items. I'm guessing you'll be able to place an order on 8/5 since that's when he's supposed to go up (or 8/6, since DD is usually a day behind in putting up preorders) and he'll ship shortly after. In my experience they're pretty accurate with their ship dates, and update them promptly if things change.
So I'm confused...is there an SDCC Marvel exclusive or not? We thought it was Death's Head, but now we know that's fan channel.
