The team just posted a video of them opening collector cards.
I thought "no way!"
It turns out it was no way. Just regular old collector cards.
Are the collector cards a way of telling the Marvel team at Hasbro what characters they should make into Marvel Legends figures in the future?
Props to everyone who made these cards happen! Was that discussion happening somewhere on these boards and I just missed it? Either way, great, creative job at speaking someone's love language. 🙂
It was kind of somewhere on here. I just remember a bunch of us talking about cards, and sending links with certain characters, for the cards.Props to everyone who made these cards happen! I had the thought a while ago to do trading cards of the Fwoosh Top 10 and give them to the team, but didn't do anything with it. When Beamish created this thread: Just For Fun - a Trading Card Wave! I decided to run with it. The packs were a natural choice when I realized I didn't want SDC to just hand them a collection of loose cards and it'd be more fun for them to have something to open.
@h-bird Will this be an annual thing?
That's my intention! And I'd like to up the ante next time with a more custom made product. PC suggested another route we could go with a sort of Marvel Handbook-style comic, too. Anything that gets our wants in front of them in a fun way is worth the effort for me.
Well, like with the cards, I'll try to help with links to whichever characters the others need help with, or help finding, since I did a good job last time. 🙂@h-bird Will this be an annual thing?

The cards are such a great idea. Thank you creating them and getting them into their hands!
Now I want Slingers to get on there for next year. 😆

Thank you! I'm hoping to actually make our own cards for the next go, but we'll see how it shapes up.
I just realized:
-Fwoosh didn't crash this year.
-This is the second year in a row they ran out of time and didn't do Q&A at the panel. I was three rows back from the microphone on the aisle seat and was ready to leap up there with the question I saved for panel, but it obviously didn't go my way.
-Whatever plan Ryan had to give away the toys at the panel will remain a mystery. There were at least 12 toys up there, so whatever he had planned had to take some time. He counted the rows of seats when he walked into the room, so maybe it was a "row 12 seat 5 is a winner" type of thing.
-I'm bummed that some of you were at the panel, but we didn't get to meet up. That would have been fun.
You were either a handful of rows directly behind me or across from me. I was on the aisle just in front of the microphone on the right side of the room.
The product giveaway at the end of the panel was pure chaos. I'm glad they mostly found children to give the figures to - but there were some crazy entitled people complaining that "they didn't get one". Ridiculous. I already had all of the product except the Hulkbuster anyway - but man it would have been nice to get that Hulkbuster and cancel that $80 preorder.
It was interesting there was no period for questions, but considering that time was eaten up by the ROM reveal, I feel OK about that.
Can't wait for next year when they will make me so happy by finally revealing my deluxe Man Ape vs Black Panther two pack, along with Jack of Hearts, Deathbird, Stingray, a classic Guardians of the Galaxy 3-pack featuring Charlie 27, Martinex and Starhawk, and a new 12.5" giants sku kicking off with Atlas.
Has there been any indication of Death's Head going up on HasbroPulse? I've got a sixty-five dollar one in my cart, but haven't paid for it yet.

I saw August 5th thrown about as the date the SDCC exclusives would go up, but I don't know if that was from an official source. I definitely expect it to happen though, and I'd wait and see before paying a markup.
