Hercules would be a good choice. What did they use for the recent Hyperion!
@enigmaticclarity Didn't specify. Just said better. I mean one of these characters was a primary inspiration for Darth Vader and another wasn't.
Curious to see what costume Quicksilver will be in. Classic with the neck scoop added and a new head would be fine. But I’d take the 90’s black and white look too.
Of course then I’d probably want gypsy costume Scarlet Witch too…
Another classic Quicksilver would need something special to get me excited - they can definitely improve on the head, but I'd really be pumped if he has updated articulation - get him on the RYV body or something new with thoracic articulation at least.
OR, make him in the classic green with the little booties. That I'd love to see.
A new classic very thin more articulated body would be fun way to bring a classic Quicksilver back. Head sculpt that is actually trying to look like Quicksilver. Neck painted what it should be. What's the current super thin up to date body at the moment?

George Lucas modeled Vader after a number of different things, but the only comic-based character I've heard him reference was Doctor Doom. What I've heard him say is he was going for a space samurai look, and that the mask was a mix of Doom's mask and a Samurai warrior's helmet.
Are you saying you've heard he also had Darkseid in mind, or were you mixing him up with Doom? Darkseid was a pretty minor character when Lucas wrote Star Wars, but I suppose if he was actively reading comics in his mid-twenties he may have heard of Darkseid. The timeline is Darkseid first appeared in 1971 when Lucas was 27, and Lucas wrote Star Wars in 1973 and 1974.
@enigmaticclarity Darkseid (pronounced Dark Side) is a large powerful space god who fights his son (who does not know he is his son) for control of a mysterious power infused in the universe called "The Source". He wears a large dark domed helmet and lives on a planet that is more machine than planet. Darth Vader is half Darkseid / half Dr Doom (scarred man in a suit of armor). Kirby was THE sci-fi comics artist of the 15 or so years before the writing of Star Wars. Maybe with the possible exception of Wally Wood. There are other 4th World and Kirby cross overs with Star Wars.
Kirby moving to DC was a big event at the time; even if it didn't work out in the immediate. Of course it does in the long run adding some of the more significant comics lore to the DC Universe. Comics nerds of the time were quite aware
Speaking of Apocalypse, I need a new figure in his Krakoa/post-Krakoa garb. The more Egyptian, the better.
@tsi this is the only way they could get me to buy another Apocalypse.
@tsi I like some of the redesigns they did for Apocalypse over the last couple of years. Visually that is. Frankly I am burnt out on the character now with how he has been written/evolved over the Krakoa era. Too much of a Magneto trajectory with waffling back and forth between "good/bad" (I know overly simplistic). In my opinion it was a good move to sideline him, and Arakko, focus more on the more immediate mutants. Even then it still became a mess of a story, but at least Apocalypse was not also getting dirty in the mud. Now he is just part of the bigger problem surrounding the Krakoa era (again my opinion).
I'll remember the Krakoan era as great in theory but messy in execution. I love that it resurrected some favorites, set some canon events straight (like Nightcrawler's parentage and Apocalypse's retcon), and gave many of our favorite mutants time to shine. It was nice to have a cohesive line of X-Books again. The smaller titles were the standouts for me. Funny enough, I think Hellions may have been my favorite book of the run.
On the other hand, the big titles and overarching story fell flat. Somehow, the main X-Men book was always one of the worst in the line. I've basically been hate-reading my way through the third act of what Hickman started.
Same. House of X/Powers of X, (Hickman's) issues of New Mutants, Hellions, Immortal X-Men, X-Factor, Dark X-Men, SWORD into X-Men Red into Resurrection of Magneto, Sabretooth, Uncanny Spider-Man, Dead X-Men, and the first 2 Hellfire Galas made the Krakoan era one of my favorites of all time but the rest of it is best ignored. I wish I could have ignored Duggan's books but he was writing Jean and Synch, so.
If by up to date you mean pinless might be the body they modified for X Men 97 Nightcrawler. That body seems slight and thin.A new classic very thin more articulated body would be fun way to bring a classic Quicksilver back. Head sculpt that is actually trying to look like Quicksilver. Neck painted what it should be. What's the current super thin up to date body at the moment?
Dan and Dwight were on the Toymigos podcast tonight to talk about the Cabal 3-pack. They talked about the Dark Avengers a bit and Dan alluded to them possibly finishing the rest of the team since there are fans in the Legends production team. One of the hosts specifically brought up a new Daken as a character that needs a redo, and Dwight said if they were to do Ares it’d be on a newer body since they’ve retired the previous one. I’m hoping they really do go for it since we’re a decent way into the lineup now with Iron Patriot, Sentry and Marvel Boy.
This is what really bugs me. Let's make figures because people on our design/marketing team want them. Just like Jesse Falcon wanted that lame Galactus Doom head instead of another Herald.
How about focusing on making figures the collective ML fanbase has been asking about for years. Just look at any Top 10 polls on any site for suggestions before going to your co-workers.
@enigmaticclarity Didn't miss much. They asked for a new Daken and Ares. Dwight teased another cloth cape this year. Dwight led with a wild take that Apocalypse was better than Darkseid. I mean I get he works on the Marvel brand but that's a take.
I'm calling it right now: Dr. Strange in the Strange Tales wave.
