If the Strange Tales offering isn't literally characters that debuted or appeared in Strange Tales, hopefully Gargoyle is a part of it. He certainly is strange.

If it's a Dr. Strange wave, Gargoyle still works since they were both members of the Defenders.

Strange Tales seems a good moniker to put out any of the mystic, galactic or horror themed characters that don’t really fit anywhere else. Could we hope for a Colan Dracula or a Werewolf by Night? Some characters of course qualify under those terms AND 1st appeared in Strange Tales. Mordo, Nightmare and the Warlock version of Adam Warlock come to mind. What am I saying, we all know it will be Spiderman with some mystic symbol on his chest from those 12 pages in the one issue of Marvel Team Up in 2002.

The last two top 10s were posted in February. IIRC, the voting took place in December/January.

Oh boy.

I'm thrilled they are celebrating Secret Wars, I just hope they finish off the main cast with Titania, Volcana and Beyonder from SWII.

If there are only 6 single card Secret Wars figures, they are all probably going to be based on the original Mattel, all with lenticular shields.

I'd guess:

1. Spidey - black suit

2. Cap - existing buck, different colors, maybe including a mini-Wasp in her Secret Wars costume.

3. Iron Man, additional Tony and Rhodey heads (the original Mattel figure was listed as Rhodey on the cardback, but the lenticular shield had Tony's face)

4. Wolverine - brown suit, which could be the reason there is no brown suit Wolvie in his own anniversary sets.

5. Falcon - Dan hinted at classic Falcon coming about a year ago, and this would make sense as a tie-in to the Cap film, and that the 2 store exclusives so far for the Cap film are not this classic comic version.

6. Daredevil, Kang, Magneto, Zemo or Doc Ock - I can't make up my mind.

We just got SW Doom. Constrictor is rumored to be in a 2-pack with Crossbones.

As for Titania and Volcana, the last two cast members without figures:

I still think there's gonna be a She-Hulk vs. Titania set.

Volcana and Beyonder might show up as Fan Channel releases.

If these 6 figures are strictly based off the comics and not the Mattel line, I'd guess, in their SW costumes:

Spidey - black suit

She-Hulk with a mini-Wasp

Titania

Rogue

Lizard

Either Iron Man or Cap

Fan Channel - Volcana

Fan Channel - Beyonder, probably the armored version

I really think this is going to be the usual mixed bag, aside from the Legends anniversary wave, the retro cards have really never played the game of matching up to the original lines releases. I do suspect some classics thrown in though

- Iron Man (with Rhodey Head)

- Captain America

- Symbiote Spidey

- Brown Wolverine

- Classic Falcon

^^^ For instance

But I'm also hoping for some newbs

- Titania (Great place for her)

- Beyonder (self-explanatory)

then there's always a chance of a complete surprise... so i think the wild cards could be

- Rogue

- She Hulk

- Absorbing man

- Classic Molecule Man

- Volcana

Id suspect 2 at least to deviate from just being classic popular marvel heroes.

I unfortunately don't think this will be this years big anniversary wave, so i'd wager it's limited to just these 6 figures on a retro card

I doubt it but I really hope that Dr. Doom is just a good classic Kirby Dr. Doom.  Its the one version we never seem to get.

People forgive the chain mail on that Doom way too fast. Not that its done poorly but not really a Doom look.

I could be in for 10+ figures, but gotta see some fun and inspired stuff to do so.  That list is loaded with potential.

Xavier - finish the Uncanny 275 set so we can at least complete something

Odin - COMIC.  New sculpt.  Thor gets dissed.  I want Heimdall, Skurge, Beta Ray Bill, Warriors etc.  Get going on that.

Ghost Rider, SHIELD, Strange Tales are all potentially awesome. So is Skaar. Heroes Reborn Iron Man. Then there's 2 comic waves.

The DELUXE set - King Carnage. Wanted this since the Barends cover was solicited, it's current and badass.  Makes sense for a Deluxe figure.  Honestly Venom and his Venomverse should get yearly figures.  More exciting than the Spider-man side of things in my opinion and sells.

I'm more excited about the Skaar updated than I realized I'd be.   The original version of the character released... well that figure is terrible.   I always prefer new figures to re-dos,  but this is one update I'll be looking forward to.

Strange Tales featuring some SHIELD figures would be nice.  616 Nick Fury in suit?  Maybe classic Hydra goon?

Trapster/Paste Pot Pete would be cool.   As well as Wizard.

Comic Baron Mordo?   Classic Adam Warlock.   Brother Voodoo.

The BAF could be one of the 50s monsters.   I imagine this would be an online-only wave, like the Mindless One wave.

Well, if the Strange Tales wave does have Starlin Adam Warlock, that's my #1 want finally crossed off. If he's there and there's some Dr. Strange themed stuff, I'd love if the BAF was The In-Betweener.

Strange Tales wave will be where we get a 12-15 inch Eternity BAF. 😉

I'm really excited for Skaar too. I sold the old one off in the last year or two - I'm all about keeping all the unique characters I can but it was just so, so terrible I had to get rid of it. Excited to see what a good Skaar figure can look like!

Yeah I don't understand how people are content with that Dr. Doom.  Its a nice figure but it looks like its from a completely different toyline.  Marvel's #1 villain should have a great classic figure that can stand next to Dormammu, Ultron and Kang and not look out of place.

That over-designed Dr. Doom was my first Marvel Legends figure. I love the additional details added to a kind of simple villain design.

As a first timer, that's what I thought Marvel Legends was about, with the detailed 80th Cap and shiny Iron Man right around that same time as well.
