Thankfully Gamestop is getting Warbird in Canada because I reeeeeally missed the Target pre-order.
Carnage is... such a great figure and a nice surprise.
I really dislike mismatched bright orange/ dark orange on 2-pack Zola. I think I’ll keep the old BAF after all.
Truly missed the forums these past few weeks.
Aside from the two-pack, I did get two figures from the Zabu wave, Red Widow and Superior Iron Man. Superior is one of those inevitable figures I wasn't sure I wanted but I can't stop messing with, happens once every wave. I like the look of Red Widow but wish the cape didn't inhibit one of her arms so much.
And now I have one sabretooth tiger leg just sitting on my desk, waiting for the rest of the wave.
Oh, got shipping soon notification about the animated Spidey Doctor Strange and Morbius. I'm kinda psyched to see how Strange looks in hand. One of those characters I just always like no matter what look he's in.
Glad to be back with all you knuckleheads and miscreants.
Yay for the forum being back!
BBTS is shipping Superior Iron Man to me. Can’t wait for that whole wave!
I missed out on Warbird, which is very disappointing. That’s my favorite costume for Carol. Her figure looks fantastic.
Since the blip, I got the Zemo Zola 2-pack, and I absolutely love it. Never had a Zola since I didn't start back up collecting toys til late 2016 early 2017 or so, and I started out very picky. Plus I didn't dig the colors on the Hydra 2-pack that came with that weird armored Hydra Cap, so finally having Arnim in my collection feels great. The mismatched oranges don't bug me at all, for whatever reason, and the Kirby face is just the best. Nice to get the elder Zemo as well, a very well done figure, I especially like that his mask is a softer rubber material, and that his gripping hands are both up and down hinge.
I also got my PoL delivered so I got my Lilandra, who is absolutely fantastic and I have no complaints except for the lack of more Imperial Guard characters to go with her in my display. Bring on Warstar, Manta and Hussar already, dadgummit!
I also got the deluxe Angel who I really wish came with a flight stand but other than that is a 10/10. His head sculpts are both so stupendous, they are some of the best in the whole line. Can't wait to pose him with the Champions and then the Defenders. That boy ain't never gonna be in my X-Men displays!

Likewise. Zemo is great (though I'm not sold on the white gloves), but Zola feels...different than the original BaF. I'll likewise be keeping the old one on display.
This site is one of the great loves of my life. Glad to be back.
Fittingly, I didn't get a single figure since the forum went down. I think the last figure I got was X-Men '97 Magneto at the beginning of March. Phew.
Huh, now that you mention it I haven't either - though a few are on the way now. I did open several of the tons of things I bought and hadn't gotten to yet so it didn't feel like downtime, but maybe I was subconsciously acting in solidarity with the Fwoosh...
Not to be a big downer, but what other sites are good chat sites in case Fwoosh, um... you know...
@beamish I think a lot of groups have migrated to Facebook and such where they have specific channels. I guess maybe due to the ease of starting a group and not having to pay for the maintenance like website specific pages. Unfortunately for me I don't do Facebook, or social media in general, so I can't say for certain.
As a Canadian I frequent actionfigurenews.ca and cybertron.ca
Both are pretty good sites that have been around since about 2007. There is also the Toyark group (Toyark, TFW2005, Hisstank, etc). Maybe the ToynewsI group as well (marvelous news, Jedi Archives, etc)
However I find most sites these days are not as active as they used to be, but I attribute that to time and age. We are all getting older and I think the heyday pre-pandemic and during the pandemic is over. Combined with the splitting off to places like Facebook and the explosion of Youtube channels, and I think where else you go it may not be any more active than The Fwoosh. However there are still quite a few options.
Marvelousnews and Toyark are the ones I follow as well, and yakface for star wars though they take a lot of vacations and there's a few non-hasbro things they never report on at all.
@thor-el I swapped Zemo's white hands out for some yellow ones (wish I knew who they were from, they were in my "random hands" bag) and it looks much better and more comic accurate to me.

Yes, we need a backup plan. Like: this is where we all meet up if we lose track of each other in the cataclysmic disaster of a massive earthquake, or a world-breaking meteor strike, or heaven forbid, another fwoosh outage.
