Warbird and Iron Fist are the only two I want (though Cage does look great) but I would've been far more enthused with new, never-done characters and not just upgrades. Oh well, maybe that's to come with the later reveals.
Agreed - no problems with the how the figures are executed, but when you announce a new range of figures and lead with a Spider-Man and Wolverine, my buzz starts dying fast.
New Iron Fist is great, but I have no use for Luke. Really wish they’d put that version in the BAF wave and gone for a full on classic Heroes for Hire box set. That would have rocked. As is, Luke will be a Hero for Sale.
I’ll definitely get Ghost Rider - the ML3 one is the oldest Toybiz figure still pulling duty in my collection, so time to finally retire him. My hint for a decent Blaze bike continues though - maybe both my riders can go on 90s bikes.
Skaar is a definite improvement, but I didn’t care much about the character last time out. Will get if he goes on sale.
The big boulder intrigues me - base for a figure to perch on, or character-specific accessory?
I'm with you guys in always wanting to prioritize new characters over everything else. A few of the figures revealed today are in the "might as well be new to the line" camp to me because of how old/outdated the originals are. Skaar I sold off a while ago as that figure was just offensive. Danny and Dan haven't been done (in those looks) in 20 years - I still have both original figures, but they really stand out on the shelf and show their age.
So to me, Skaar might as well be a brand-new character, and classic Iron Fist and Ketch Ghost Rider are classics in much-needed looks. Definitely hoping we see some new characters in this assortment (Inhumans please) but I'm pretty happy with what they showed.
Superior Spidey, Astonishing Wolvie, Warbird, and Luke all look phenomenal as well. Really impressed with all of them.
Ghost Rider is really tempting since I can fudge him in with the MCU figures.
I didn't realize this was also Marvel's 85th anniversary. Hopefully the Fantastic Four get some love since Hasbro skipped out on them for the 80th anniversary in 2019.
I wish Cage came with some fists without the brass knuckles.
Hopefully a new Astonishing Beast and Kitty will release this year as well. We're so close to completing that initial team.
Speaking of X-Men, I'm surprised nothing from the inevitable wave 3 X-Men '97 was shown. I'm assuming they're probably waiting until the season finale in May for more reveals.
@h-bird Was about to say the same thing. Dark days of Hasbro probably shouldn't even count and in the case of particularly Iron Fist when such a classic costume hasn't been done since TB days its borderline totally new. Not that I wouldn't mind seeing some 100% new to the line figures.

Deluxe Annhilus, Blastaar &/or Dragon Man sitting right there. Done so long ago or so poorly they might as well be brand new. 2 pack Master Thinker (nearly all reuse) and his Awesome Android sitting right there too. Though I am pretty happy with my customs.

Didn't expect it to be a modern Luke, which is what I've been wanting! That's another member for the New Avengers display with Spidey, Warbird, Sentry, Extremis Iron Man and Astonishing Wolverine. They're a pretty good way into that team now!

I'm very happy for this Luke for exactly this reason! New Avengers through the next 10 years Luke was wearing something like this. I have the Defenders 4-pack version (sold the Thunderbolts Cage long ago) but it isn't a great figure, and doesn't do a good job of translating the more "civilian" look. This new figure nails it.
With modern Luke and Astonishing Wolverine coming, we just need a new Ronin to finish off this lineup!

Agreed! This is the modern Luke Cage I've wanted for years - the Defenders set never scratched that itch properly. We definitely need an improved Ronin (with a Maya, Clint and Blade head).

For sure. Definitely expecting a blue pants Cage sooner or later, and red Iron Fist would be a nice addition. For at least some of the time he wore this he was actually an alien impostor, right? The H'ylthri? Did he ever appear in human/alien form in some way that could be conveyed in a figure, or did he always just look exactly like Iron Fist in red?
For Iron Fist I'd also take an updated white/gold figure, the modern black/yellow tracksuit version, and (most importantly) Immortal Iron Fist with all the articulations. And then also all of the Immortal Iron Fist characters they are severely neglecting like Orson Randall, Fat Cobra, Dog Brother #1, Tiger's Beautiful Daughter...
I'll get them all. Warbird isn't a huge priority so if I miss her, I miss her. I imagine the inevitable Walmart exclusive will be Cap related so my biggest want. Hopefully it'll be easier to get than in the past.

Massive pegwarmer 2 pack. I can see it maybe being one of those Marvel comic subscription freebie figures. The blue pants Luke with an angry head might be something we see in an Amazon 5 pack or something. Or the same with red Ironfist.

The fact that we haven't gotten a Collen is actually surprising. But I hope they make a 2 pack with Misty because that old one was awful (paint, not sculpt) But would LOVE for Hasbro to make this a 2 pack with updated articulation.
Great announcements all around in my opinion. Everything looks pretty good to me. I will pick up Ghost Rider and maybe the Heroes for Hire 2 pack. That Luke Cage probably should have been in the Mindless One wave though. I’ll might end up getting Wolverine just because I already have Cyclops and Emma. The others are a pass for me, but only because I dont care enough about those characters to rebuy my old versions.
