Okay, I stand corrected on my earlier "don't get excited" and "temper your expectations" comments.
I'm officially excited. Way to go, Hasbro!
Count Nefaria finally! What a great wave.
Dang, I was hoping for Blizzard, Crimson Dynamo, and Mandarin.
Totally—those were my top choices. But the character selection in this Iron Man retro was is still awesome. Count Nefaria and Whiplash rock.
I'm happy for everyone who's been wanting Count Nefaria and Whiplash for years. Congrats! I'll definitely be getting She-Hulk and Iron Man Model 20; that was my favorite ToyBiz Iron Man figure.
Same here regarding Toy Biz’s “Modern Armor Iron Man” from ML 8. What a great wave that was! Brings back fond memories.
Did anybody see the mini quinjet tease? I'd assume it's something Giant-Man related but I don't know exactly what that would be.
I'm thinking the mini Quinjet is supposed to interact with either evil Goliah, Atlas, or Fin Fang Foom. Leaning toward Foom. The lack of Mandarin the retro Iron Man line could mean he's being held off to coincide with either the Haslab campaign or more toward Foom's arrival next year. They could also release a gold/red version of Neo-Classic Iron Man next year as well to time with Foom.
Getting 2 Iron Man armors from my most wanted list. Great wave.
I said this about the Byrne She-Hulk two months ago:
That might be my favorite She-Hulk costume.
Huge win. She was probably my 11th or 12th most wanted figure.
It seems odd considering we just got him, but my first thought with the mini Quinjet was a collection of shrunken items/accessories/weapons for West Coast Avengers-era Hank Pym. It could also be an accessory for Giant-Man or another growing character, but that would make them absolutely huge - even Galactus isn't usually shown to be that enormous next to a ~30 foot long vehicle.
It makes me think it's a HasLab tease, but have they ever teased a HasLab before (with actual product, not a marketing video)?
@tsi I thought the same thing but then I remembered they teased Robbie Reyes' crowbar and chain accessory at a convention. So there is a precedent for it.
Wasn't expecting to see her in a retro Iron Man wave, but I'm definitely in for the classic She-Hulk. I just hope the plastic for her joints isn't that off looking for the production version.
Yep! Mis-colored knees and elbows strike again.
But this is also the company that for some reason refuses to tool a forearm without grooves in it.
