I found Magneto and X-Cutioner in two different Targets this weekend. The landing pages for the wave are available if you scan the UPCs with the app. Figures aren't available for shipping.
And yes, this is annoying. ð
I imagine you aren't their primary target customer with this process though...  and that's perhaps, honestly part of their entire problem selling action figures that now retail for $25 to $30 each using the same marketing philosophy as when they were $5 each and aimed at 6 year olds.

Exactly. Target and Walmart appear to think adults like us AREN'T their target audience, which makes sense for the regular corporate bureaucrat since they're toys, and toys are for kids, right? Hasbro certainly knows we're their audience, but whoever manages toy product at Target and Walmart absolutely, positively doesn't know that.
In the case of Target it has been a slow process of increasing mismanagement that will eventually convince them they can't keep selling this line unless we luck out and they start doing it better. It started with them ordering solid cases of figures and sending the whole case out to stores that were NEVER going to sell, last year became just mistake after mistake after mistake after mistake in inventory management, and is now culminating in them just not even bothering to try to sell them online anymore.
Legends and most other adult-oriented toy lines at Target are circling the bowl right now. I certainly hope it doesn't culminate in them flushing most of them.

Doesn't Wal-Mart have an online Collector's Event, though? I think they're due for one here pretty soon.
(If I had the gumption, I'd just google it. But I don't have the gumption anymore)

Yep. Target has something similar they call "The Collector's Spot" with an entire section dedicated to adult collectibles, although they have no equivalent periodic event that I've noticed. So the marketing department at Target and Walmart recognize this market, but the people who manage inventory don't. The Target store managers in my area also hate that section for whatever reason because half of my stores never organize it so it's exceedingly difficult to find anything there, and at least two stores here use the area in front of those shelves as permanent storage for piles and piles of inventory boxes that completely block access to the area. 😟Â
After all of my whining over the past day or two in this thread I had to go get some toilet flush repair parts, so while I was out I figured I'd hit a few Targets and Walmarts. The first Walmart I went to had the entire X-Men '97 wave 2 on the pegs, so I'm done complaining about this until the next wave hits and they're not posting them online. 🤪Â

Lucky. My Jean has a bum right knee - I think the plastic didn't fully fill the inner portion of the joint - and GameStop won't just replace without a return and they demand I go to the store to return it. I rarely ever buy stuff at GameStop anyway and this proves why.
Jean is due to be delivered today and that will be the last of this wave.   It's kind of fun to have them show up over the course of two weeks - you get to savor opening each one a little more than when they all show up at once.
Loving that 2-pack more every time I see it. Amazon's exclusives have really given us some great classic comic looks - Ronan, the West Coast Avengers, Gorr, Alpha Flight, etc.
I won't lie.... I'm a little bummed they are selling me Arnim Zola a 4th time now.  Yes - I bought in for both versions of the Zola BAF and I bought the Hydra 2-pack.  I don't really feel like I need Zola yet again... but I really want that Heinrich Zemo figure.... so I guess I'm adding another Zola to the pile.
I feel you on the Zola's, what I like is the face picture is better and more head on than the bag, looks more appropriate to me, and I like that I can use the extra head on one of em to make for another distinguished look
Yeah... it didn't stop me from pre-ordering.  I'm sure it will replace one of my existing Zola's in the display - probably the basic version - I'll leave the other one as Red Skull.
I wish it would have been Zemo and classic Melter to add to the first Masters of Evil.
I went ahead and pre-ordered the Zemo/Zola 2-pack, but again, I only wanted the Zola.
I've been hoping I'd find the BAF for cheap now, but it still seems to be running at or a little higher than the $50 that would get me these two figures.Â
