I wonder if that backpack and the wings are from the upcoming movie figure. A pre-repaint. Prepaint.
Started to... can't do it.ย ย $34 feels like a lot for a figure i basically already have except for the wings and with taxes and shipping it's $44?ย ย Nah.ย ย If I see it in a store eventually I'll probably bite but there's no way I'm paying the extra $7 to send it to me.
add something for $0.01 more, and shipping is free

Backpack may be reuse tho.
ย
@hbhfback Well... we haven't seen the new figure yet so we don't know what's being shared.
I'm not pre-ordering from Target anymore.ย I always see them in-store anyway.
I wish that I could be confident in that.ย Always hear about people finding stuff, but I'm not one of them.I'm not pre-ordering from Target anymore.ย I always see them in-store anyway.

I've had more success with target online then target in store personally...ย and they did give me a $30 credit for the Track Suit Mafia fiasco.ย (I had been applying discounts to my pre-order around their like 9 month journey into cancelation, and they honored the discounts that they applied to them, and put them on my cap-falcon. So i'm only like paying $5 for it when it's said and done.
ย
Well Target put up a new G.I. Joe Tiger Force pre-order I wanted anyway, so I pulled the trigger on the Falcon to wipe away the shipping cost.
I have the Target RedCard, which gives me an additional 5% off all purchases and free shipping all the time. I do recommend it.
AIC Podcast on Insta (and probably other sites) is doing a Legends March Madness. Round One has already happened. This was promoted by Steve Evans. Check it out:

@beamish Thanks that was interesting.ย A lot more MCU stuff than I would care for.ย But that shows the interest is still there.ย If they can get some better writing, I'm sure sales would go up on MLs.ย I was happy to see that Lockjaw handily won his round.
What is this trend with retailers no longer listing Marvel Legends online with increasing frequency?ย I'm seeing people on Reddit sharing photos of X-Men '97 wave 2 at both Target and Walmart over the past week, yet neither retailer has the wave on their web site.ย 🤨ย

Well,ย we've heard for a long time that toys in general and action figures in particular, aren't a huge profit driver for big box retailers but more a foot traffic driver.ย ย Located in the back of the store to pull customers through and increase the likelihood they'll buy other stuff on their way to and from that back corner.ย ย ย If that is indeed the case,ย it may be that on-line sales don't increase ancillary sales the same way that in-person sales do and so they are electing to prioritize stocking the shelves over offering the product on-line?
ย
Or it could have nothing to do with that and just be that the boxes shipped to the stores and go efficiently stocked to shelve before they got inventoried to the on-line store system?ย ย ย IDK

I don't mind going to stores, but there's no WAY I'm making what could easily be an indefinite number of empty trips for this.ย I wouldn't mind if they disabled online ordering as long as the site told me when it was in a given store like it used to when they listed things online.ย So if their goal is impulse and/or ancillary sales during a visit then they're doing it REALLY wrong.ย All it's doing is making me think I should never have bought a Target gift card in December when they were 10% off since there hasn't been anything for me to buy this year yet, and it's incenting me to buy from Amazon or Gamestop instead.ย ☹️ย Meh, I'll use it eventually since Target gets the big Jurassic World Hammond Collection figures exclusively at first that they DO list online, but they're going to lose me buying Legends and Star Wars Black Series there if this continues.
I suppose I can call the stores with Target since they're pretty helpful, but there's no option to do that with Walmart I've ever found.
I imagine you aren't their primary target customer with this process though...ย ย and that's perhaps, honestly part of their entire problem selling action figures that now retail for $25 to $30 each using the same marketing philosophy as when they were $5 each and aimed at 6 year olds.
