It’s been a minute since they’ve shown a ML reveal that really made me pop, but that MvC style Cable certainly did it.

Customs of that guy were so huge 20 years ago and that ML6 wave Cable almost hit that mark, but this guy looks so freaking cool. Definitely would’ve been a dream figure for 15 year old me. 

Real happy for Ka-zar, Zabu, and Ikaris as well for some classic goodness. 

Wolfsbane! FINALLY!!

I was JUST saying to a friend and fellow collector Legends had felt quiet lately and my wallet appreciated it and then boom. 

The Zabu wave is fantastic, nice mix of eras. I hope this means we'll get Shanna soon too to go with Zabar! Wolfsbane does look a little bright but I don't mind - she'll look great with the rest of the X-Factor team. I was also just trying to figure out how to mod a movie Ikaris to make a comic book version and now I don't have to. Love it. 

I literally am incapable of not getting Wolverine, Spidey, or Doctor Strange variations, so I'm in for all of those even though I know I don't NEED them. (Man, Strange's cloak really does not lend itself to good ROM for figures, does it? The SHIELD three-pack looks fantastic, too. Never thought we'd get Dum Dum Dugan and Sharon really needed an update (I've been subbing in the blonde head option on the generic SHIELD agent as Sharon for a while now). 

Wish Zemo and Zola weren't a two pack. I don't need a third Zola but I would easily buy a third Zemo. 

I'm loving the occasional random comic wave we've been seeing lately.

Black Winter - Didn't read the storyline but that figure looks fantastic

Ka-Zar - finally...I've had the other one in the box for years but the figure was never great on that body.

Superior Iron Man - Colors seem off to me - thought it was silver and had more black.  The glowy blue parts don't pop like they should

Red Widow - Don't know the character but looks like a fun Winter Guard addition.

Wolfsbane - I was expecting her to reuse the less furry Tigra limbs so this is a happy surprise.  Looks great

Cable - definitely a version I was hoping for and I'm happy it showed up now that they stopped doing the harness as a loose overlay.

Ikaris - looks great, colors are very modern looking but that's a nitpick.

Zabu - It's a small BAF but not one I would complain about..especially considering the other one is a Sigma 6 tiger

Carnage - Don't really need another one but I've been getting one of every villain on the retro cards

Prowler - wish he wasn't unmasked in the box but nice if you didn't get him before

Morbius - wish he was on a retro card instead

Dr. Strange - Same as Morbius.  Wish the VHS boxes transitioned to being a sleeve over Marvel Studios rerelease styled box instead of a full windowless package.

Zemo/Zola - Love it, another Toybiz figure that I can finally retire.   Zola - He's a great figure and I'm happy more people can own a classic version if they want it.

Shield 3 pack:

Sharon Carter - looks like the face might be Daniel Acuna based?  Certainly a step up from the old one but I wish she had black ankle discs and the boot line painted on the bottom of the shin.  That or just leave the shoes white.

 Nick Fury Jr.  - Sure, I'd prefer he was in the Commander Rogers + trenchcoat uniform and would probably put a classic Fury head on this body.

Dum Dum - A much needed update, guessing there's going to be a GW Bridge head in there too.

I'm going to put on my nerd cap here, but that Cable (who I incorrectly think of as Ian Churchill) was, I believe, first drawn by David Brewer in 1994, some 6 years BEFORE the MvC game was released.

SHIELD pack is great, they have done so many SHIELD figures the last few years and Dum Dum was clearly missing. I was OK with past Sharon but this is a nice upgrade I admit.

Zabu looks great as well, as does Kazar. Dan seemed to imply more Savage Land coming - if they do make Shanna, they are pretty close to having the parts for SL Rogue and Storm variants. Possible SDCC or PulseCon 3-pack? Not advocating for this, but I suspect many would go for that Rogue, but I question that at retail - maybe fan channel.

Hoping that we get a nice Feral now that Wolfsbane will be out.

I wasn't too interested in the Val and Franklin pack, but love to colors on Wolverine and Spidey, might have to get that.

Zemo and Zola is nice, I already have the BAF Zola, so the question is whether I need this Zemo.

The Zabu wave is a real mix for me. Love the hell out of Ikaris (and hope he heralds some more classic Eternals) and Ka-Zar is a nice update. But I don't really need any of the rest of the wave. I could display Wolfsbane easily enough and the Dark Thor guy is cool looking, but not my era. I'm just wondering whether it'll be cheaper to try and buy BAF parts, or buy the wave and flip some singles - I assume Cable and Wolfsbane will sell easily enough. Rolled my eyes at another damn Iron Man making up the numbers.

I'm in for the Zola pack, though I wish they'd just have released Heinrich as a single. And I'm definitely buying Carnage - feels like ages I've been calling for that textured body, plus a classic head, plus all the weapon accessories. I was hoping for the alt Cletus head too, but then I reminded myself I'm not going to display it like that 99% of the time, so he's near enough perfect.

I can pass on the SHIELD set - might buy Dugan singly if he drops in price any.

I really hope that Shanna is coming too, and if she is that they go with the classic red hair and leopard skin swimsuit look. That'd pop like hell on the shelf and it's slightly less cheesecakey than the bikini look.

I'm excited for Cable, Wolfsbane, Red Widow and... that's all for me. Love Thor's beautiful hair, but I already don't want the first version!

I really wish they would start including a non-eye effect head for Cable. I know he was drawn with a glowing eye 97% of the time, I just wish I had the option for display and photography. 

Some of these are great, like finally getting Wolfsbane and I really like the SHIELD set. There is a ton of re-release stuff which I know was starting to wear on people back when the X-Men VHS figures were revealed - I guess this means we'll probably get an animated Punisher at some point.

I don't care about the weird Thor release, and was hoping it would end up being a regular modern Thor. As far as Iron Man releases go, this one is probably my least favorite in a long while. 

I just hope this year we finally get a good classic Iron Fist and Banshee so I can start an exit strategy on Legends. It's been a great 22 years - a lot of this stuff feels like the 2nd or 3rd time I'm buying something I already have 99% of, or a character that appeared in a single story line I never read. Perhaps I've just reached my Legends saturation point... which took long enough. 

In the comics does Red Widow ever take off the hood? Little disappointed no maskless head. The new Sharon Carter head looks like it would look great on that body.

Also - look at Cable's shins! That is a horrendous "coat" of yellow paint! Come on, Hasbro!!

I know we've known about Red Widow for awhile and it's great that Hasbro is adding to that team, but it still just stings that we are getting Red Widow and we are still waiting for another team addition - Crystal.

Excited for pretty much all of these, but especially so for the gorgeous animated Morbius and the full-tilt Jack Kirby styled Zemo and Zola. Yes, this is the third time for Arnim, but it’s the first time he’s had a Kirby face on his monitor, and that is HUGE for me.

Also: the legends team needs to tell the classified team that if they can release an actual Nazi in a hood, hooded Cobra Commander should be a no-brainer.
