I kind of like the leaks because they help me manage my disappointment. I know I shouldn't expect to see any X-Men at the next livestream because there were precious few on the leaked list.
The only dangerous part is when they put out a listing like "Psylocke & Wolverine two-pack" and it's Psylocke in her Lady Mandarin duds.
I heard that Hasbro is not doing anymore Marvel Legends Punisher figures, why is that? It's because he's too violent, isn't it?

I don't think that's it so much that as the Punisher symbol has been latched onto and used by so many hate groups in recent years. They did make a change to the symbol and the character both in the comics, and then replaced Frank Castle as the Punisher altogether. Sadly it's kind of become a toxic association. It's really unfortunate when something we love as fans is used to spread hate and intolerance. I don't think that Marvel will abandon anything to do with the Punisher altogether, but as a company that is upfront about specifically trying to increase diversity and inclusion it will likely give Frank and the old symbol a long "cooling off" period and hope that some of that problematic association just goes away over time. We'll see. The whole thing is just a very sad situation and statement of affairs within today's society and extremely divided political environment --- which of course most of us would prefer would just stay a long way from our fandom and hobbies.
It's not gonna happen anytime soon, but I'd love to see updates to the House of X wave that came out a while back. Professor X would benefit from being on different body, the pizza buck doesn't work for him. Wolverine would need more refined head sculpts and pinless limbs, and Cyclops needs to go on the Vulcan buck. Marvel Girl needs a pinless update and better torso articulation. Plus the heads are painted so much better now, they'd all benefit from a rerelease with fresh paint.
The reason I'm asking this Punisher question is because I want an updated trench coat Punisher figure from the epic heroes wave.I heard that Hasbro is not doing anymore Marvel Legends Punisher figures, why is that? It's because he's too violent, isn't it?

So I just stumbled upon Power Princess this weekend and decided to pick her up since I wasn't sure how difficult she would be to find later. But the price! Ouch - 41$ Canadian! Definitely not what I'd prefer to pay.
Anyone care to place any bets as to whether or not she'll hang around on pegs in the next few months? Should I hold out for a better deal on her in a few weeks' time, or just be glad I found her now at retail price? I obviously have 30 days to return her if I find a better deal. Thing is, I have no idea how popular a character she is to the Marvel Legends collectors.
I keep learning it's better to buy a figure first than realize later it's in high demand and have to spend months hunting for it. But maybe she's not a big deal and will be available down the road for a more reasonable amount.
She's definitely the most sought after figure in the wave, next to Vision. And aside from being a great ML figure to ML fans, she's popular to DC & Wonder Woman fans as well. I can't see her being discounted (more than $5 USD) unless they make solid cases of her or they discount an entire case of the wave. Good pickup for MSRP IMO!
Ok, good to know, thanks. But...what is MSRP though?
@disneyboy She won't be on pegs in the US as this wave will not be hitting brick & mortar retail here.
Well, I guess there's a chance GameStop could still carry them...
Why wouldn't they carry them? I'm surprised. Seems weird Canada would have them but not the US.
@disneyboy They have started doing "online only" comic BAF waves...
First the Marvel Knights wave, and now this "Avengers" wave.
If doing "online only" waves gives us the ability to have lesser-known characters in them, I'm all for it.
Off topic but was Fwoosh unavailable yesterday or was it my computer?
It was giving me a "Database Unknown" or some such error message yesterday too.
Yeah, the site was down all day, yesterday. I'm guessing because of weather situations.

We may not have to wait very long for Hasbro to bring back Punisher figures.
I mean, first of all, it's not like we've ever gotten a LOT of Punisher figures. In twenty years of ML there's been what.. like.. 5? I think 7 if you count movie/MCU figures. So I don't think the lack of Punisher figures is necessarily indicative of anything. But if it is....
Punisher is apparently about to make his MCU-proper debut with 'Netflix' Frank coming back. While it may not happen, I would not at all be surprised if they pulled some elements from the now sort've famous comic appearance where Frank told some shithead cops to get fucked and stop idolizing him. I could see Disney wanting to do something like that to 'rehabilitate' the Punisher image to assure themselves not only of less static when using the character going into the future, but also give them an immediate on-screen push-back they can point to if anyone tries to come at them with any unwanted associations with the Punisher symbol.
IF Disney does something like this, it would have the added affect of probably making Punisher more palatable to Hasbro. That combined with Punisher being once again 'current' in pop culture thanks to being on TV will very likely have Hasbro wanting to get both MCU and Comic versions of Frank out on shelves again.
So yeah - I do think there's a good chance we're going to be seeing Punisher figures again in the near-ish future.
