Is the Thunderbolts wave a comic one or are we getting a Steven Yuen Sentry figure?
Here's the leaked list that dropped in Robo's Discord server. Some differences between the two, but I'm sure as hell not watching rektangular to find out.
Why not? He's such a great online orator!
"Um ... uh, hey ... hey there ... Marvel Legends ... fans ... it's ... uh ... rektangular ... with a ... um ... uh ... Marvel ... Marvel Legends update ... some ... some uh ... corrections to .... corrections to my last ... my last, um, video ... I ... I uh, I don't ... I really don't know ... I don't know if Count whatsisname is coming out or not ... same with the jungle guy ... KAY-Zar or KA-Zar ... or whatever ..."
Yep. 30 seconds or so of that and I want to pound my head against my desk.
It would take, at most, ten minutes to just write a quick word document then simply read it. I'm not even asking for inflection, just fix the pace and verbal speed bumps.
If these leaks are true (and they usually are), then I'd love to get the Mystique and Destiny two-pack, Retro Quicksilver, Retro Prowler, Retro Carnage, and Warbird. I'm curious about what the Cabal 4-pack, Iron Fist and TBD character two-pack, Retro Professor X, the Crossbones and Constrictor two-pack, the two comic waves and the Deadpool 3 movie wave look like. I'm also curious if the Captain America: Brave New World line gets bumped to next year since the movie's been delayed due to reshoots.
I do hope we'll see more classic Spider-Man villains for the Retro wave. I'm honestly shocked that Chameleon, Vulture, and any version of Doctor Octopus haven't made the cut yet. It'd be a great way to get a classic green-and-orange suit Ock or the white Armani suit Ock with the bendable wire tentacles. It is odd, though, that there aren't any "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" confirmations yet, since the Legends team said the line would continue in 2024.
Also, is anyone else disappointed there's no confirmation yet for a new comic book based Colossus figure? I thought for sure we'd get him with Wolverine's anniversary wave for them to do the Fastball Special.
Also, we need more Hulk Marvel Legends figures. Immediately. I'd love to see a new Jack Kirby-esque Hulk with purple trunks, a classic green savage Hulk with better hair and face sculpts, brown Pantheon era jumpsuit Professor Hulk, more She-Hulk figures, a General Ross and Betty Ross two-pack, and figures of villains like Ringmaster, Tyrannus, classic Abomination and the Leader in his orange-and-black suit with the "Jiffy Pop" big brain look.

Is the Thunderbolts wave a comic one or are we getting a Steven Yuen Sentry figure?
If you hadn't heard, Steven Yeun dropped out of the movie when filming had to be rescheduled post-strike. They're going to have to re-cast the role. He said that he hoped to have a chance to do a different Marvel role down the line. He said he had another filming obligation for a different project at the same time that trumped this one with Marvel Studios.
Since the movie has been delayed indefinitely and hasn't even started filming yet, if we're truly still getting a Thunderbolts wave in 2024 it would likely have to be comic wave. Unless they do one one of those things where they release the figures 6 months before the movie gets released again....
I'd guess:
Iron Fist 2-pack is classic Danny and Colleen Wing. It's the 50th anniversary for both of them.
Quicksilver and Warbird would be in the Avengers Retro Wave. It's nice to get an updated Warbird, but we still don't have classic 70's Carol, the one plastered all over the Avengers Anniversary marketing... but I digress...
...
So, in conclusion, I can see a BAF wave of "strange" characters, a mixture of cosmic, mystic and a wrap-up of the Frightful Four:
Classic Adam Warlock
Classic Gamora
Classic Brother Voodoo
Baron Mordo
Nightmare
Wizard
Trapster
BAF Man-Thing, who was mentioned in rektangular's video.
That would be an amazing wave! Sadly, there's no chance we'll get that many classic characters/looks in a BAF set. For what it's worth, I believe Man-Thing was floated as a deluxe figure, these leak lists (regardless of who it's from) have never named the BAF.
My guess is that Strange Tales will be a catch-all for monster type characters, similar to the Toy Biz Dark Side set. So maybe we'll finally get a Vermin figure! I think first appearance Groot would be an amazing BAF, though I guess the scale would be off.
On another note, I get there are other reasons to dislike rektangular, but dude is bringing us info we'll be discussing for the next year and we're gonna complain about the way he's talking? I guess some people are really excited about the new Mean Girls movie :p

Right, the reasoning behind my question was kinda convoluted...
I had heard about Yuen dropping out, and I know the movie hasn't started filming yet. So I was wondering if they're going to do like Black Widow and put the figures out way early anyway, which would mean a wave based on movie concept art and thus a figure of someone who isn't even in the movie anymore even though hasbro probably got pictures of him in costume for their toys.
If Hasbro put that wave into actual production knowing the movie hadn't started filming before the first strike, that's their bad.
That said, they could pivot and re-release the MCU US Agent, Yelena, Taskmaster, Ghost, Red Guardian and Bucky figures.
Ugh. I really hope this movie goes away.
I know they were both Cap villains at different points, but did Crossbones and Constrictor ever even appear together?
I hope the Thunderbolts wave at least is half comic. Techno and Atlas are inexcusably absent still. I always felt the Civil War era Thunderbolts would be so cool as figures. And yes to more Hulk figures, but I think there's stuff like Warbound, or old Toy Biz figures, Cates/Ottley that would FAR more interesting and fun toys than more of what's already received figures.

And some of those could be updated. US Agent is an easy repaint but they could include the shield this time (I know he didn't have one as US Agent, yet, but I'd still want one, and they can get the stripes right this time too). Yelena they could do a new head, maybe include the night vision mask. Taskmaster I actually sold as I liked the design in the THunderbolts concept art more, so that's a figure I'd totally take a concept version of. And the others could just be repaints at well. Maybe a Val figure and call it a wave.

I can't remember for sure, but maybe during Dark Reign?
That leak list at first glance doesn't do too much for me, seems a little disjointed. Some of that is I just don't need more Venom.
Destiny/Mystique would be great. An Iron Fost with a possible Colleen Wing would be great.
Strange Tales is intriguing.
Our speculation about Secret Wars Anniversary makes sense and seems like that would make a perfect retrocard wave, but could easily be part of the classic comic Avengers BAF waves mentioned at the bottom of the list.
The idea of deluxe mega sets screams mutants to me - X-Factor, New Mutants, maybe Graduation uni X-Men, especially with Angel now available. They might not be listed if they are exclusives, but the lack of X-Men on the list makes the possibility of X-Men boxsets more plausible to me. Unless they figure that X-Men 97 and Deadpool 3 will provide the X-Men fix/focus.

It would really not make sense for it to have any movie figures, unless it's like schizm said and it's a repaint/re-release wave. The movie is supposed to come out summer of 2025 but I'm not sure it will make even that date.
