What If season 2 trailer also just came out, so I'm guessing that'll be the source of the majority of 2024's 'MCU' Legends.

I am sure some will find their way into the next D+ wave. Or 2 depending on if we get 1 or 2 next year. But I don't think we're getting a full D+ What If wave again

You're probably right, and I hope you are, but my cynicism says if we get any more Disney plus waves, it'll be just one more and it'll be full What If.

By the time a new wave comes out, Echo will be out. That and we haven't gotten any Loki S2 figures yet. So there is a lot of competition for slots next D+ wave

I think I'm also not over being so spoiled by the 2023 leaked list. Now I am aimless and adrift.

I read that Mego has the license to make Marvel figures again. No line up has been listed but it would be nostalgic to see Marvel Mego figures.

yeah. I don’t know how my current brain will meld with my 1977 brain and not immediately want these. Some of the DC ones have been hard enough to resist. Especially the never made ones before.

@basil-elks Wouldn’t a classic IronFist be 70s nostalgia more than anything else? I don’t really see his 90s connection

I already know I'll be getting the Mego FF as soon as they're announced. I still have my modified Thing from when I was a kid. Even as a child, I had take a ball point pen and color in the cracks on Ben's head so it looked more like the comics and matched his outfit. Unfortunately, he's the only member I still have. I have a Spider-Man that I also modified by sewing his cloth outfit to make it more skin tight. I  have a severely beaten Captain America (no shield, no gloves or boots) and a few other bits and pieces from other megos I had.

@derrabbi Well, he was in Maximum Carnage, dressed like that, so that's why I said it. Plus, I think that the 90's version had  hair sticking out of the back of the mask/cowl, and the 70s didn't. Easy head swap.

@ditko Feels like we've been getting plenty of stuff from the 90's. We've got most of the x-teams, the upcoming Scarlet Spider looks great, and we're basically just a Carrion and Firestar away from the complete Maximum Carnage lineup. What other figures are you looking for? Mostly Spider-stuff?

I'd love a Maximum Carnage box set, honestly. I at least need a new Doppelganger that isn't awful.

Dedicated Cable.  X-Men '97 is my hope.  X-Force Kane.  Put them in a set with Feral.  CIA Wolverine, A.L.B.E.R.T.  X-Treme, X-Cutioner, Krule, X-Men 2099, Post, Marrow, Warlord Professor X, Genesis, Kaine, Cardiac, Bagley or McFarlane Spider-man, remaining Thunderbolts.  Hell The Jury from Spider-man.  Rest of Generation X.  I don't get excited for repainted bodies either.  I understand the reasoning and accept it where it makes sense, but it's also an excuse not to do some of the unique cooler looking characters ot half ass what we do get.

I think 90s has good representation, but it went cold and there's some big pieces either missing or needing better figures.  I have my tastes and I know they're not catering to me.  It's fine, I mostly collect other lines, but would be more into the whole experience if they made some of those.

@dathing Cap didn't have gloves did he? So he could grab his shield. The 8" one anyway; I think the 12" did.  Always bugged me as a kid he didn't have the white or red on his arms. I still have all my original Megos in various states of disrepair. All the Marvel and POTA. Only a few totally wrecked.

@tenzilkem Megos were my first love as a kid collecting action figures.  It's amazing that the company came back from the dead.  Star Trek, Monsters, Planet of the Apes, and DC have been so much fun to get once again.  Now my favorite, Marvel is next.  Maybe even Star Wars is possible!  It's a great time to be a Mego fan 🙂

Nope no gloves on the 8".  Although I cannibalized some from a teen titan figure and cut a slit in the right one to give Cap some gloves.  I always wanted a corrected Captain America from Mego.  It will be interesting to see what they do with the character.  Straight redo or corrected costume?  Maybe both.

I still have all my original Megos.  They are well loved and in various states of disrepair as well.

Man, that's right. Cap didn't have gloves. I just remembered that was another mod I made on my Cap. I wrapped some red electrical tape around his forearms to simulate gloves. I may have used either an old Spider-Man body to give him red hands, too. Too many moons ago to clearly remember.

Me too. I mostly had DC figures as a kid. I had Superman, Batman, Robin, Joker, Penguin, Catwoman & Riddler. I had the Batmobile & Batcave. I had the Hulk and 4 Spider-Man figures as a kid. Either I asked for them or kept getting him as presents. I also still have a Hulk playset. It folds up into a pyramid with a flat top & there is a device for Bruce to Change into the Hulk with cardboard cut outs.

They were fun to play with. I have gotten some Figures Toy Company figures for nostalgia. Some are easy to take out of the package without ruining the MIB look. I took one out one time to look it over and suddenly I wanted to play with it like I was a kid again. I never had that feeling with the 6" plastic figures. I just want those posed on a shelf like a statue.

I hear you. I'd be surprised if we don't see a lot of those show up in the next few years since they've made most of the big names from that era. I mean we already got Maggott!

I'm hoping for some more innovation on the standard articulation scheme in the near future. I don't mind reuse where it works as it's clearly an underlying fact of the whole line and why we can get the obscure characters we do, but more dedicated sculpts is a necessity - they usually knock it out of the park when they do unique figures like that.

Since we're talking 90's, I've become increasingly interested in filling out more of the 90's Avengers - we've got Black Knight, Sersi, Thunderstrike, and Widow already. Obviously classic Crystal needs to come first, but we need this look too. Plus Deathcry, 90's Vision, and Giant-Man in a costume that I'm only recently beginning to appreciate.

I guess we'd need a 90s Hercules too, but I don't know that I'm ready to advocate publicly for any of the costumes he wore during that era.

Looking at those pics, also reminds me how much I want the Gatherers too.  The whole tteam.  Get to it Hasbro.

He'd actually be fairly easy to make. They'd just need to take the recent Herc they made in his modern costume, and add a new beardless head with those football shoulderpads. The pants and boots on that modern costume could pass muster for his 90s-era outfit. It was so inconsistent that it'd be good enough for me.
