Is Red Hulk confirmed to appear already?
No, but it seems pretty safe to assume that the group named after Thaddeus "Thunderbolt" Ross will feature him in some way. And now that we know he becomes red Hulk in Captain America 4 it seems almost certain.
Back when they first announced the film there was no red Hulk in the MCU but now that there is they could announce it at any time. Or maybe Harrison Ford is in it solely in human form, who knows.

Variety did report Ford will appear in Thunderbolts though, so I dunno.
What would they have done this year with Deadpool and Wolverine as the only MCU film and Echo, X-Men '97, and Agatha All Along as the only Disney Plus shows?
That's why they need to get on some older characters. Abomination even appeared pretty recently, in two different things. NWH Lizard is always a possibility. That's why, once again, I say MCU Legends should follow the Black Series format.

No, the comic team wasn't named after Ross. It came from a quote Citizen V liked: "Justice, like lightning, ever should appear to few men's ruin, but to all men's fear." I think he attributes it to some author from the Renaissance time period. So the team were thunderbolts striking down justice like lightning on the wicked. You can see the first part of that longer quote on the cover of the first issue below.
There was an iteration of the team led by Red Hulk, so that may be where the confusion stems from.
@hbhfback Right, which was way later, but I still dig how they all matched. And it's a very interesting team anyway.
Ahhhh, Thunderbolts. Great 90's comic. Good art, good writing. I remember when Hasbro did a head fake to try and make us believe they were going to do that team. Songbird, Mach-1, Citizen V, then when it was time to do the characters who would require more effort than easy reuse and overlays.................. crickets.

Thunderbolts - I recently realized that the What If? Gamora figure's silhouette is slightly close to Meteorite's - cut off a shoulder pauldron, change the feet - it's close.
But really, I just want a real Meteorite. For a somewhat minor character, Karla really has some important looks to knock out. Two down, two to go!

Not sure when it’ll be.
Man I wish there was some commitment to finishing that old original Thunderbolts team. Meteorite, Atlas, Techno and Jolt at a minimum are so necessary for me. I loved that book so much.
