I received my Rogue/Destiny set on Monday and, despite being jazzed-up for finally getting Destiny, and for the set not consisting of one desired figure packed with one lackluster phoned-in figure, I am disappointed with some of the engineering/production choices made on both.

I know they have all been voiced already (barbell neck, thigh boots, painted boots, etc.), but allow me to repeat one complaint; Rogue's torso is a dud.  Who greenlit that.  Shameful.

Also, would it have broke the budget to have included one bare hand and maybe a hand gripping an empty glove?  It is her power after all.

Anyway, they still look nice and sharp and I'm happy to have them both.

That being said, I just had to change Rogue's hair.

NOW she's my classic evil Rogue!

Wow.. that change with the stripes on the side of the head makes that 20 times better.    No choice... have to do that to mine now.

Finally got my Punisher/Bushwacker 2-pack delivered after some weirdness with my original order.    I know it doesn't have the classic white gloves and boots,  but this really is one of my favorite Punisher figures ever.    It just looks great and feels great in hand to pose.    I'm not the biggest Punisher fan there is,  and I've said I don't know how many more iterations of the character I really need -  but I'm honestly glad I have this one.    I would also happily add one of the more recent versions of Frank with the different skull image he had when he was with the hand... whether in red or white

As for Bushwacker...  he's kind of goofy and weird and his powers are gross and you shouldn't think about them too long -  but I don't completely hate it I guess.

If this set ever goes on discount in the future I could see myself picking up a second one to use the body as a base for the Flash Thompson head that comes in the recent Animated Spider-Man pack and the Punisher body is just good fodder in all black.

Found this on ebay. It has a blue color scheme and it’s slightly larger than I had hoped for a 1:12 weapon. It’ll do!

You didn't want to try the one that comes with the Legends Multiverse of Madness Mordo as someone suggested a month or so ago, Norm if memory serves?  His is definitely in twelfth scale as shown below.

I was never clear why this came with Mordo.  I remember seeing that crossbow in Strange's basement in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but I don't remember it from Multiverse of Madness.  It made me wonder if it was intended for the Rintrah BAF instead of Mordo, and if there were deleted scenes that featured Rintrah where perhaps he was using this crossbow.  I doubt it though since Rintrah doesn't come with a hand that the bow fits into.

It wasn’t originally my idea but I fully support it. I would have done it by now if Destiny had a grip hand to hold it.

I'm a bit late to the party so I have no idea if this was actually the thread for this originally. But it's 2024 and I generally like Marvel toys so...

I got Danny Ketch today. He was on sale for Prime Day and even though he wasn't supposed to show up until Friday, he arrived today. I love him so very much. Maybe one or two of you may even be aware, because I have been obnoxiously loud about it, that I've been championing a return of '90s Ketch to Marvel Legends since the mid ToyBiz era. I loudly whined, to anyone that would listen, about Legendary Riders (or whatever it was called) being axed after giving us goddamn every character on the roster that doesn't need a ride and not one of the main ones that absolutely does (okay well.. one).

So even for the somewhat obnoxious price of almost 60 dollars (CAD) I am beyond thrilled to finally have a modern action figure of the objectively best Ghost Rider (I am not accepting arguments to the contrary at this or any future time).

It's one of those figures where, if I were not such a huge fan, I'd actually probably feel less enthusiastic about (not to say I wouldn't like it, mind). Yeah, he's a bit too small. Yeah, he could have more hand options for a figure in this price range. Yeah, the fairing doesn't have fucking headlights for some stupid reason? Yeah, the belt and boot-cuff should be painted silver instead of Hasbro's deep, presumably sexual, attraction to flat, primer grey plastic. Yeah, if he has butterflies under that coat, they're useless. Yeah, the flame-hair could be/should be bigger and wilder.

But goddamn. This guy is pure joy for me. In front of the bike. On the bike. Skidding out in flames. Popping wheelies -on- flames. Doesn't matter. I just love him. This brings me back to those 5" figures (I -never- got the version with the bike) and flipping through a comic of Ketch and John Blaze fighting a spider-demon-lady. For me, this is what Marvel Legends is about.

There's things I would do differently if I were the boss of action figures. But I'd buy this figure full price every day all day and never regret it.

I love a happy ending to a wishlist story! I recently opened him and Ketch is an easily in my top 5 this year. I feel exactly the same way - I can list off half a dozen things I would have done differently (some that shoulda been obvious) but at the end of the day it's still a great set and I'm stoked to have it. The flame attachments are great, and the wheelie stand inspired (even though, on that list of improvements, I would have put a ball joint on the end instead of a peg to make the positioning of the bike more dynamic). Just really, really pleased with how he turned out.

But of course, enough is never enough, and I want more - so bring on 90s Johnny Blaze, Vengeance, and Alejandra Jones with their rides! And an official Robbie Reyes figure too please.

Last night I received the new Phoenix fire base I'd bought from someone and yeah...Firelord's foot definitely doesn't fit. So I swapped bases and gave Firelord Nova's flame base, and gave Nova the Phoenix fire base. That works nicely.

But in doing that, it brings forward once again the glaring omission of Air-Walker in that display.

Do someone know when can we expect to have another batch of reveals? I still have hope for a X-Men wave(s) fix for next year.

NYCC is the weekend of the 17th, so likely reveals there. I think there's also a 10/27 event of some kind Hasbro is doing if memory serves. Plus an event in the UK as well? So soon, but not quite yet.

Funko just announced a new wave of What If? Pops from the later S2 episodes. Last time they randomly announced a wave for not-new release media it was Across the Spider-Verse and I accurately predicted that an ML wave would shortly follow.

I wonder if we'll be seeing a new D+ wave in the next month or two with at least Kahoori, updated Peggy, I wouldn't be surprised to see Hela - and hopefully Echo AND maybe possibly Daredevil and Punisher?

I wanted Dark Phoenix to use my fire base as it makes sense to have her more fully expressing the power of the Phoenix. I also needed her to sit higher in the stand than the foot peg does b/c of the X villains around her. With some playing I was pretty easily able to get her to rest higher on the display by looping her in a flame tendril. Maybe that only works b/c I am using the bird behind her. Just putting it out there that you don't HAVE to use the foot hole.

@h-bird I try not to say like 'this is probably one of my favorite figures' (I still say it sometimes, but I try) because I'm totally aware that recency bias is a thing. But this is actually probably one of my favorite Legends purchases of the last several years. Of course, that's in no way saying this is one of the best figures they've done. Just one that means the most to me while also being really good.

A ball joint on the stand would be great. Even just having it be able to swap from front to back. I was thinking of putting him in a landing pose instead of a wheelie pose, with his back tire up and front tire down, swinging the chain like he's landing right in front of an baddie. But it just doesn't really work for that.

But of all the little complaints I have, I'd say the only thing that actually bothers me rather than being a thing I would have done differently, is that they didn't put the extra effort into having headlights rather than open slots in the fairing.

I KNOW Hasbro hasn't done this before or even remotely hinted at it being a possibility... but I keep hoping that they'll re-think the pricing and structure for the Hellcharger. The hope is that if all the current GR and GR-adjacent stuff does really well, they'll realize there's a fanbase there and that the failure of the HL was their fault.
Then again, the reality is that if they didn't even try to re-solicit the Rancor because they think there's no appetite for it, there's probably no hope for the Charger.

That being said, and as much of a GR fan as I am.... I don't really want Robbie without the car. Not that others shouldn't get him - just that the reality is I almost surely wouldn't buy that figure.

Vengeance and Johnny? Yes, absolutely. I might even get Alejandra but only if I can see we're already well into filling out the more important (to me) GR characters. The shitty thing for me is that I got so frustrated by the death of the riders subline without getting Danny, that I sold my Riders Johnny GR. Stupid me.

I think there is a lot of support, on this board at least, that a more basic Hellcharger around $100 would sell under the newer Pulse "not a HasLab preorder" model.
