That's how it's been at my local Target as well. The last waves they had were the MCU encore wave, and the recent Spider-Man and Iron Man retro waves. But like yours, after a single sell-through, they've not restocked those pegs with anything else. Which ultimately doesn't really affect me since I get my stuff online these days, but still...

And let's not even discuss my local Wal-Marts. They're barren wastelands for anything decent from any line. It's a waste of time to even stop and try.

Someone remind me--what era are the white gloves/boots with the green costume accurate to?

...great question. I know he appeared with white gloves at some point, but surely the vast majority of his appearances in the green suit were with the lighter green gloves and boots. Hasbro's Hasbroing again.

My target is similar to what was mentioned above. They have about a half dozen each of SamCap and the MCU re-issues of Iron Man and Spider-Man, but nothing else and haven't had for quite some time.

My Walmart mostly has just older stuff including Marvels movie wave, Black Panther Legacy wave, MCU SM/IM re-issues, Infinity Saga stuff and a handful of older retro carded wave stuff (No Way Home, X-Men 97, last winters Spidey retro wave, etc).

Accurate to the blob wave quicksilver, it's just a remake of that 😂

Yeah, there hasn't been a single ML that I want that I couldn't get online.  Still, I go to Target a lot...a LOT, and it would be nice to see ML stocked.  Because literally every single other figure line is.

And yes, I left Walmart out on purpose.  They're a complete lost cause.  I've heard rumors of Walmarts that have a vast selection if figures.  Not mine.

Not related to bad jokes or anything else really, but why is it that Marvel Legends are the only "adult collectible" that is consistently not stocked at my Targets?

Target has been my favorite place to buy Legends since I started collecting in 2019, but something broke during Covid and they're barely better than Walmart now.  Their web site is still much nicer than Walmart's, but their management of inventory has been atrocious for around two years now.  They just let random stuff slide constantly now.  There's no predictability to what they're going to screw up, they just screw up constantly now.  Some stores get no Legends at all, another just a few miles away will get overstocked and most of it goes to clearance.  Pre-orders sometimes get fulfilled, sometimes they don't.  Some new items get listed on the web site, some don't.  I could keep going for paragraphs and paragraphs about what they've screwed up on in recent years, but in summary anything and everything related to managing inventory could go south at any time now.

I'm being a bit melodramatic in representing the odds of them doing inventory management right about 50% of the time.  It's probably more like 70% to 80% of the time they're fine, but when they used to do things right 95% of the time that slide in quality seems quite dramatic.

Yeah, I've got a friend that lives in Tyler, Texas (outside Dallas) and he's always hitting the jackpot with everything.

Hah. When I picture him in green, he has white gloves/boots, but I guess this is another case of an action figure overriding my mental image of the character.

I was able to find one reference image of him with white gloves/boots. FWIW, I think it looks better.

Except his state's power grid.

I totally agree that the white gloves/boots actually looks better to my eye as well and so doesn't bother me, even though it's inaccurate to most of his actual appearances in that outfit

@thor-el Jeez.... I was in Tyler for a week in 2004, and never thought I'd hear a reference to it again. While there, it never once occurred to me to look for figures though, damnit!

I agree Target screws up and they can be a pain to deal with, but other figures from other lines, Hasbro or not, licensed IP or not, are all consistently available in some form.  Target pays workers to set a place for ML in their aisles, but ML pegs are empty more often than not.  Only ML.  I don't get it.

@yojoebro82

I would add Star Wars vintage collection to the MIA at Target.  Otherwise, what you have said is spot on.

I would blame Target for not ordering enough or Hasbro for not getting it to retailers on time.  Probably a little of both.

My local Walmart just started putting out retro Iron Man a few weeks ago and those were long gone at my Target.  Before that, they put out retro Spidey Tarantula, Hallows Eve, etc...  Those were at Target months ago.  Nothing makes sense at retail for ML these days.

Quicksilver was in green/white on covers before (probably because of print/ink issue) but he was never that way on the pages.
