I'm comfortably passing on this. I have the Mezco Lockjaw and a custom Crystal I'm happy with and this definitely doesn't feel worth more than $50.
I'm passing too. I know it's kind of blasphemous, but I was never clamoring for a Crystal or a Lockjaw, so this two-pack was the right combo for me to save some money. Maybe I'd be more tempted if we had some other Inhumans on current bucks. Having said that, Crystal looks great, and I was still waiting to see the price to make a final decision. 70 bucks makes it easier to say no to. If she's ever released as a single, I'll snag one for sure.
$70?!? That has to be a mistake. Doesn't it? I was pretty excited to get Crystal. But damn, that price is a joke.
Thankfully it's being sold on Amazon, which will drop it to a more reasonable price soon enough.
I know - been waiting for this character for TWENTY PLUS YEARS and then they pull this shit at the starting line. Really sours the whole thing.

Here's hoping.
So $25 for Crystal makes Lockjaw a $45 figure. Yeah I was hoping for $35 making this set closer to $60, but I’m still in. He looks pretty beefy with a few extra accessories.
Wow. Hasbro dun lost they mind. Hard pass.
Smh
I feel like I'm on the more accommodating side of the forever ongoing pricing discussions, but - for $70 Lockjaw should have as much articulation as every other animal they've done in each of his legs AND include the alternate sitting parts. The whole figure is like, 15 pieces (head, 2 mouths, 6 leg pieces, 4 feet - plus however the torso is broken up). I would have happily paid $70 for a fully articulated version of this figure, and I assumed they cut out some of it to keep the price down. Harrumph.
I can't find any good profile shots - is there any torso articulation on Lockjaw?
What bothers me more is the ship date. So many things coming out in a short window next month.
But remember they said they wanted to increase profits by whatever percent this year. Hence higher prices.
I get that the price is higher than people want - or expect. But I do find it kind of hilarious that people are like - the Mezco Lockjaw is better anyway - a figure that was part of a set that cost $150 when it came out and can't be had now for less than $300. And Crystal is $25 of the price - that was a given. So they are charging us $45 for Lockjaw. They charged us $60 for Blob so it's hard to feel too terribly surprised by this...
Yes, I wish it was cheaper. I'm not praising Hasbro for the price. But for the people acting like this is complete madness, I mean, really? It's a bit high, but wasn't the Knull and Venom 2-pack more expensive than this when it dropped? It's hard for me to feel shocked by the price. I wish it was $60. That would be a better value. But I'm pre-ordering this because I want a classic Crystal and Lockjaw in my collection that badly.
So $25 for Crystal makes Lockjaw a $45 figure. Yeah I was hoping for $35 making this set closer to $60, but I’m still in. He looks pretty beefy with a few extra accessories.
Yeah I wish this was closer to $60 as well. But I did the same math as you and figured $45 was about right for what is essentially a baf that I don't have to pick up other characters that I don't want to get. I'm tired of buying 2 or 3 characters that I don't want to get a baf that I really want.
So Crystal and Lockjaw are a day one preorder for me. Who knows maybe Amazon will drop the price at some point. No matter either way. I will say that when Hasbro does up their price for something that I really want, it just means I am less likely to make any other purchases that I'm on the fence for. I have passed on so many figures the last few years. The rising prices just mean Hasbro has to work harder for my money.
Yeh, fnck that. I'll wait it out. I mean Lockjaw is basically a figurine for pete's sake.
Currently unavailable. I wonder if they just realized they posted early or at the wrong price. Or both.
I was seriously on the fence about getting Crystal and Lockjaw, but WOOF, that price made hop right down off that fence and slowly back away. After taxes it's nearly $80 for a small female action figure and a plastic dog with almost no articulation. Hard pass.
Yeh, fnck that. I mean Lockjaw is basically a figurine for pete's sake.
Yeah, it's a shame that he won't be able to do all of the many amazing dynamic things Lockjaw does in the comics and hit all those crazy fighting poses and those extreme... oh wait. 95% of all depictions of Lockjaw are him standing there with a group of people being teleported around him.
If ever there was a character I was OK with having less articulation this is probably it. If they ever give me the Kree Supreme Intelligence I won't be mad if he doesn't have 30 points of articulation either...
