Got my Sentinels in just now and even though I too would like them a little more red than pink, they're real good. I'm glad I got 4 of them and if they offer color variants in the future I might pick those up. Especially if they release a version with the same color scheme as the big lad Sentinel, I'd definitely pick up another 4.
I’m actually just interested in a couple of the rocks, if anyone has some they don’t need.
My god, when are we going to get a new classic Cyclops? I have the one from the 2-pack as well, but it desperately screams for an update. It's probably my most wanted Marvel Legend right now. I'm really surprised one hasn't been announced yet for the near future. It seems like a no-brainer.

I'd really be shocked if we don't see one in a future X-Men '97 wave.
@thegillman Hopefully this is true. Once we get the rumored classic green and yellow Banshee then the original Giant Size X-Men team will be complete. And it would be a shame to have an extremely outdated Cyclops leading the group. Especially since nearly all of the other members have had fairly recent new releases. Such as Storm, Nightcrawler, tiger stripe Wolverine, and even Colossus. Heck they even just did a new green suited Phoenix, but still no classic Scott.
It's pretty head-scratching since it would be a pretty easy figure to pull off. It's not like there would need to be a lot of new tooling involved.
Man... all these Sentinel pictures is depressing. The packs sold out before I got my order in. I was hopeful that with an army builder type set they would have produced enough to put these back up for sale again, but apparently not. The order limit of 5 was maybe a tad high - might have lasted a bit longer if they had limited it to two sets per person initially.
Kind of surprising once they sold out so fast they didn't open up a new pre-order window to see how many they could sell.
Anyway - here's me hoping they do eventually re-open that door and making depressed sighs every time one of you guys gleefully posts about yours arriving.
@panthercult I think on another thread there was word from the Hasbro team that the fast sellout made it more likely another run would happen. And I think even if not the exact same thing a color variant has to be in the cards. Too much money left on the table otherwise.

Feel like these Sentinels need to be about two inches taller for what I was hoping to use them for - Mark I versions.

I hate to say it - because this sounds like a horribly boring wave to me - but you are probably right. But what if, instead of the 2-pack Doom, that some people can still find in a 2-pack at Ollies for less than the retail price of a single figure - they include a Magneto in his red and purple on a better (read: bigger) body than the X-Men 97 figure. I think that would probably still move units.
In thinking about it - doing this first wave where they play the hits - makes a ton of sense. Maybe pull one of the Spideys and include someone else... maybe one female (eww - icky, I know) like Wasp or Storm or FF She-Hulk (she did come out of the series as a member).
Then they could do a second wave with classic Iron Man, Black Costume Spidey, Classic Falcon (finally) Doc Ock?, Maybe toss in an Iceman or Electro to be funny.
Then as Pulse Exclusive on the same cards do Titania and Volcana releases. And then have Amazon do a tie in Wrecking Crew pack on new updated bodies...
It could work...
@panthercult I tried to be generous on the re-use - a lot of people weren't thrilled with the proportions of the X-men 97 Magneto as you said, so I didn't include it - opting for a single pack release of a previous multi-pack version of a very specific look. But yeah a new Magento release could work too. 2 new sculpts for the same costume 2 years in a row also seemed like a stretch.
Horribly boring or not - it will sell out. People will get popular versions of figures that were previously only in a multi-pack or long overdue for a new release. I was also gonna throw the Holo Iron Man classic armor in there updated with Pin-less, but it's the same figure we already got with a different color reactor on the chest. That figure also didn't sell great then, so I nixed it.
@panthercult You edited! Yep, I think what you've outline could be really cool. Getting a classic Falcon out of this would also be a great bonus.
Also - that Cap with a proper non-holey shield. Forgot to mention that added bonus.
I get it. I think they could do that red and purple Magneto on a a bigger, better body that was still all re-use and might sell better than that 2-pack Doom. And I agree with you about it selling well. Which is why if I'm Hasbro I push one of the Spidey's into a second assortment and try and sell more - with an Iron Man and a Spider-Man in that second go-round, I think retailers still jump at it. Also, that would be a way for them to finally deliver the classic costume Falcon we've been waiting for for so, so long.
