I just don't see Terminus being important enough to get enough backers to get across the finish line.    He's cool, but I struggle to see it.

I'm honestly not sure Fin Fang Foom has that juice.

I really think a pivot to a figure multipack of characters that require more deluxe tooling or investment might be a more popular way to go.     My mind always circles back to a Serpent society set where we could get a freshly sculpted Anaconda with swappable long "squeeze" arms;  a Sidewinder with the appropriate dedicated pieces, Death Adder, the snake body with Bushmaster -  and then fill it up with whatever other members of the team feel right.     I would pay more for a set like this understanding that Anaconda, Death Adder and Bushmaster require unique tooling that isn't particularly reusable.  And there would be value in getting a group of characters that would take a decade to fit into the line via various waves  all at once.   Include a battle damaged Captain America for them to face off with if you must.

I honestly think this could work well for them,  certainly better than some of the obscure oversized characters that would require HasLab tooling but could never get enough backers.

I just hope they keep the price down.  I really appreciated the price point on Giant-Man.

I'm one of those expecting Foom, but I think that I'd genuinely prefer a Giganto the Mole Monster with a new Mole Man and subterraneans/moloids. That's actually what I was hoping for before they announced Galactus for the F4 one a few years ago, honestly. However getting enough people willing to commit to a HasLab for either of those two projects might be a stretch. I have a very hard time coming up with anything that I think would be an easy slam dunk to fund, honestly.

@panthercult, a figure multipack with unique tooling is my preference as well. The aforementioned Serpent Society and Imperial Guard leading my own personal choices. Might also be the only way we could get the Warriors Three as well.

The Terminus thing was just because he's front-of-mind for me at the moment, but I agree that he likely doesn't have the support to succeed without hostage figures included with him. Likewise Foom. Personally, I have no space or desire for a giant green dragon in my collection, but the potential hostage figures would end up making that choice for me.

I’m hoping they don’t bust out a Foom, because money is tight right now. But if they do, I’ll have no choice but to back him and I’ll probably make a nuisance of myself asking everyone else to as well. Hopefully they lock a Mandarin up in that deal to get all the floating voters on side.

(I would back a Serpent box too, for what it’s worth)

If it is Foom, they should also make an orange one, for Grogg. 😀

One could make an argument for a HasLab of The Living Monolith. He's battled the X-Men, in the X-Men comics drawn by Neal Adams. He's fought Spider-Man and Thor in Marvel Team-Up (written by Chris Claremont and drawn by John Byrne), he's also fought Power Man and Iron Fist (in their own comic) and he's even been the star of his own Graphic Novel "Revenge of The Living Monolith", among other appearances.

So, when you add it all up, he's actually been a pretty prolific villain in Marvel Comics, but they would still never make a figure of him, let alone a HasLab.

See... I would LOVE a Living Monolith figure -   but I don't know that it needs to be a HasLab.   I think Marvel -  either via pulse or Fan Channel or whatever -  needs to bring to market a Giant character form Factor that utilizes a 12 inch or even 15 inch base body that they could use to give us Clint Barton Goliath,  pre Avengers Reborn Giant Man (with the red jumpsuit with the pockets),  Masters of Evil Goliath, Atlas, Living Monolith,  Black Goliath ....   There are a TON they could do and I think people would be interested

Of course I guess they could get that form factor started by funding the tooling with a HasLab project that would deliver like 4 of those Giant's at once -   Give me  Clint Barton Goliath,  Black Goliath,  Eric Josten Goliath and Hank Pym Goliath (in his 90's pouch outfit).    charge like $250 for it.

They could then use the tooling to deliver other giant characters as Fan Channel releases down the line so we get Atlas, Living Monolith,  Bill Foster Giant Man,  It the Living Colossus, Raz Malhotra Giant Man -  I'm sure there are others.    It could work man

Wouldn’t be the first time they’ve had to compromise on a giant character’s height (Surtur, MCU Giant-Man and Stature come to mind). If we could get a “large” body around the size of those, I’d be fine.

I would be worried about Fin Fang Foom as a Haslab because I would no doubt want it so much. The possible negative backlash that Haslabs seem to get would drive me crazy.

Yeah Terminus is one of those characters that probably isn't popular enough to warrant risking a Haslab on him.   He would be great to have, but not a top choice for me personally.

I have been all in for a team set Haslab until recently.   I would absolutely love a Serpent Society, or Imperial Guard set.  I had the Legion Of Superheroes set for years before selling it for a lot more than I paid for it.  That was a great set, with a great display design.  However after seeing some of the recent Haslabs and crowdfunds from across the community I'm not sure I would be down for a set as a Haslab anymore.   Mostly because I don't know that they could do a set justice at a price that could sell, especially with teams that may not be big enough draws no matter how I feel about them.  I worry that the decision makers might want a compromise with some A-listers thrown in for appeal.  I know, I know, Haslabs are meant to try these type of things so I will keep hoping.

Foom seems like one of the last big figures they can do, and I think there might be some appeal outside the fandom for a large green dragon.   So that means he could be the next Haslab.  I do think that price is becoming an issue in general and Giant Man didn't exactly break down the doors at $200US so what would they have to charge for a Foom, and what figures, if any will they have to include to draw in backers?   I fear that price, even with figures, may be the deciding factor for a lot of fans.  I don't think they can go back to the near $400US price again for a figure, even with figures as tiers.

Since we're talking about giant sized figures that probably won't be made, I'll throw in my two cents.

Simonson giant sized Surtur w/sword.

Simonson Thor included.

Tier one:  Balder the Brave

Tier two: Fandral

Tier three: Hogun

Tier four: Volstagg

One can always dream 🙂

For the record, I'd love a Serpent Society multipack with all the extra tooling characters along with Diamondback.  She's so easy to do Hasbro.

I really love that Surtur set idea, though I'd be fearful of forever losing out on the Warriors Three if it didn't fund!

Foom still seems the most obvious choice, though I take seriously that he might be a gamble. Haslabs are tricky, and they really do just seem to bring out the absolute worst in the fandom - the amount of people just absolutely beaming at the thought that Giant-Man was going to fail was really gross.

People aren't going to like it, but a Fin Fang Foom set should start with Foom himself, Iron Man, and Mandarin. IM can be a repaint of an armor they've already done (model 09 with premium paint + new accessories) and Mandarin would obviously be a big draw. Making that the base set, not dependent on any tiers, would really start it off on solid footing - even at a likely $300-400 price point.

@h-bird The problems is if that was the Haslab set, I would love it. But if it failed, I’d be so frustrated!! I would have a hard time not taking it personally.

As much as I’d love this, I would freaking BURN THE WORLD if those guys got locked behind tiers and didn’t get made.

Burn. The. World.
