This was... largely a successful stream for me?

Odin is fucking awesome. He's going on my newfound mythology shelf (thanks, Four Horsemen).

The Mystique/Destiny two-pack was easily my most-anticipated leak of the year. It's even better as a Rogue/Destiny two-pack, though I wish Rogue came with a more heroic face.

They put me in a pickle with this Phoenix set. I have the MAFEX Phoenix coming in next month. I guess she's staying in package until I see reviews of this Legends figure. I'm not sure how much of a competition it'll be, though. I hate the painted boot tops and neither of her head sculpts work for me. Still, it's nice to see a Marvel Legends woman with butterfly joints, double-jointed elbows, and two torso joints.

Just realized the new Rogue is absolutely getting reused for the animated version when they inevitably revisit X-Men 97.

I'll gladly buy it again, too. It's my favorite Rogue costume by miles.

I actually like the Rogue figure but I'm annoyed cause I really want the black bodysuit, croptop, punk look and it seems to be the one that might never get done.

To immediately contradict my previous statement, that's also a rockin' look.

They did it in the 3.75” line some years ago, so there’s always a chance.

Right? Preach it.

A proper mythological Odin would basically look like Gandalf nailed to a tree.

They've made a surprising number of Rogues in recent years (Jim Lee look three times, modern w/Pyro, green & black, AoA, now this one) - I've no doubt they'll get to the crop top look soon.

I find it interesting that we haven't seen a traditional X-Men BAF wave (so far), yet four X-related characters are in mixed BAF waves: Wolfsbane, Cable, Bloodstorm and Hellverine. Maybe there was an X-BAF wave scheduled for 2024 with those 4 figures, possibly including either Hepzibah or Raza to add to the Starjammers to keep that momentum going, and they broke it up for some reason.

Maybe they needed a few characters to go into the Strange Tales wave and Bloodstorm and Hellverine fit the bill, since to me at least the wave seems like it was cobbled together of available figures to fit a theme instead of a wave that was pre-planned 2 years ago from the ground up. Hellstrom from the EOV, Lilith and Blackheart possibly from a cancelled Ghost Rider adjacent wave to coincide with what would have been EOV shipping, Dwight's Dracula, and hastily made Dr. Voodoo and Moon Knight.

Total speculation, but it just seems odd to me that in a year with shifted MCU films and what is seemingly more comic product, one of the constants, the traditional X-BAF, is nowhere to be seen.

I'm also curious how Phoenix is going to be released. They didn't actually say, did they? They said it was "a different type of release" but never specified that she'd be coming on her own as a deluxe, or how it would be packaged. CURIOUS.

I'll buy that as soon as Four Horsemen or some other wonderful company makes one. For now, this is pretty immediately recognizable as Odin even if it is comic book-ified.

The big problem with the armored Drac that they chose to do for the Strange Tales wave is that he's not at all recognizable as Dracula. When I first saw the photos of him online I did not know who he was supposed to be. He looks more like a warrior elf from a Dungeons and Dragons game than he does a vampire. A Dracula figure that is not instantly recognizable as Dracula is a fail in my book.

Also, I would have loved to get an updated Werewolf By Night figure. Ah well, maybe sometime down the road.

@ninjak I didn't know who he was either.  At first glance I thought he was a re-release of that guy that came in the two pack with the winged Venom figure.

I could be wrong but I feel like this has been the most common costume and look used for Dracula in Marvel comics since at least 2010. I feel like they made an effort to differentiate their version from the public domain version. Honestly "classic" Dracula figures can be found pretty easily outside of this line that scale with it. I'm also personally fine with the old ToyBiz version for that classic look. I, for one, am glad that they chose to go this route rather than just updating what had been done before.

He showed up in Avengers Assemble in this look as well. Not that a lackluster cartoon that ended 5 years ago (and replaced a much superior show, grumble) should dictate what gets made, but he's had plenty of other exposure in this costume. I'm sure he shows up in some of the many mobile games or whatever like this too.

For what it’s worth, Dracula has been back in a much more classic look for a few years now, the key difference being he tends to appear older with long white hair and no mustache. I was hoping that would be the alt-head along with a Colan-style one on a more current version. My prime complaint has always been that the armored design has nothing to make it recognizable as Dracula, and (depending on the artist) often nothing to make it specifically recognizable as a vampire at all.

I am excited to get this figure, as it’s a Dracula I’ve never had before and he’s my absolute favorite character in any medium, and also this one is battle-ready which is fun for an action figure,I like to play with my toys and this guy will be cool squaring off with, say, Odin.

My #1 want in any action figure line still remains a Colan-inspired Dracula, however. COME ON DO IT HASBRO IT WOULDN’T EVEN NEED MANY NEW PARTS.

Edit for emphasis: the old boxed set version is NOT based on Gene Colan’s art, but rather Neal Adams’ art for the cover of Tomb of Dracula #1. An actual classic Colan-style Dracula (which is quite distinct from generic Lugosi-inspired versions) has absolutely NEVER been done.
