Hellverine should've come with swappable head and hands, to make Brown Costume Wolverine.

Unsurprisingly for everyone here, I can’t begin to describe how happy I am with that Odin figure. It looks absolutely amazing, and it’s everything I wanted. I will be extremely happy to get that.

The strange tales wave is a massive disappointment. The only figure I’ll be getting from that is Moon Knight, and that’s simply because of the West Coast avengers relationship. Everything else is a pass. A huge box of lame. Saves me money though I suppose. I was REALLY hoping for a redo of the Monsters set so it could be released around Halloween.

Odin made my day though, and that’s all that matters. Though all I could see when looking at Lilith was how close she is to Karnilla.

I feel relatively confident that the regular Brown Suit Wolverine is the one that Dan is saying is his favorite for the year. I'd consider it inevitable after teasing us with Hellverine and Broodverine.

Out of all the figures in this reveal, I only really want one.  Destiny.  It was not butchered in some way, is a character I really want, and is above the "I find this acceptable" threshold of execution. (Is there a reason every release can't be as well done as Spiral?  Oh yeah, planned obsolescence.  Silly me.) Of course, she comes packed in with my least favorite version of my favorite character, with yet another questionable headsculpt.

Odin I will probably get eventually, good execution, even though I already have the BAF.

Phoenix-  Great execution besides both faces.  What happened here?  They are neither attractive, nor look like Jean.

Black heart is not buff enough for me, his hips are a disaster as well.  Really wanted a good version of him.

That whole strange tales wave is either useless to me or a joke, besides the possible exception of Lilith.

I am drowning in marvel legends, it's my main line.  They are making it easier for me pull myself out of the water this year I guess.  Thanks guys.

They are not seriously releasing an updated Phoenix and not using the sculpted thigh-high boots they JUST created.

Tell me they are not.

Holy Sh*t.  That was a....choice?

The Hell?   That makes that figure even more disappointing.

The faces are still a bigger let down, but what gives with not using the Warbird boot tops?

Well that was an interesting live stream.

First.......ODIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WOW! That is pretty close to what I want for a comic Odin. Really evokes some of the Simonson era and he is a big boy. Definite purchase.

Jean Grey Phoenix is pretty good as well. Good use of the Warbird body, but they really did a great job with the Phoenix/flame accessory/base. Looks great. Probably would have passed if it was just Jean, but the extras make it a must buy for me.

The Desitny/Rogue 2-pack is nice and finally completes another team, but I'm not building the Brotherhood so I can pass.

The Blackheart BAF/Strange Tales wave was interesting. Blackheart looks great and I love that they gave him an articulated tail (bendy wire). Ryan did a great job of teasing a repaint in the Marvel vs. Capcom colours by bringing out the Iron Man figure from the game. So an easy pass for those who don't like the all dark, mostly black, look here.

As for the rest of the wave it is hit and miss with me. Bloodstorm holds no interest for me.

Moon Knight isn't really interesting to me, but I like a lot of what they did so I might bite on him.

Doctor/Brother Voodoo is nice and I'll probably pick him up to have a version of the character. A bit silly that you just remove the Eye Of Agamotto to make him Doc or Brother.

Hellverine is a book I have been reading and I was kind of "meh" on the concept, but I think they did a pretty great job with the figure so I'll be in for him.

Lilith is one of those figures I never really thought I would go in on, but I actually really like her and will probably get her as well.

Dracula looks great, pretty much exactly like he looks in modern books. I would go all in on a classic cape/suit version from the 70s. However this one will do for now.

So......Hellstrom huh? Glad to see him and definitely a good design. Probably will get him. Wonder if there will be any snarking about him and the Haslab.

Movie Venom and Warlord Xavier and meh and okay to me.

I'm also apparently one of the few who's happy about early 80s Rogue being in the set with Destiny instead of Mystique. They've done Mystique multiple times now but we've never gotten Rogue in the costume she wore when she joined the X-Men. Wish she had come with an alternate less sinister face but that's a minor quibble. Was hoping to get her in that costume in the Secret Wars wave and glad that it's coming earlier!

Odin is awesome, and Strange Tales was a big disappointment. It already has "clearance" written all over it so I may wait for those to go on sale. Otherwise WCA Moon Knight will probably be the only one I pick up.

I just assumed it was poor video quality which didn't allow me to tell if there were sculpted boot tops or not.  And upon further inspection, they didn't use the sculpted boot tops, which is asinine.  Hopefully that's something that is fixed, but I assume it's far too late for that.  Absolutely bizarre choice.

Odin's head looks too small for his massive body.  As do his weapons.  The Namor staff reuse is disappointing, especially as it looks too small for Odin.  The figure does look nice and imposing though.

I've long wanted Rogue in this costume in ML.  Something seems a bit off to me.  I'm really not a fan of them removing articulation on figures just to prevent a costume stripe not lining up in posing.  Feels weird for a line to promote "super articulated" bodies and then reduce articulation in others.  Destiny is definitely welcome, although her head feels off to me.  Maybe a bit too narrow at the bottom?  I know she has an odd shaped head/mask but it seems a bit too narrow in the jaw for me.

Strange Tales wave is just disappointing.  Some really bizarre choices.  Hellverine is terrible, but thankfully he doesn't come with a BAF piece.  Brother Voodoo again?

It's not. The size is great. When your body mass increases, your head doesn't magically get bigger.

The problem is, many ML figures have huge head sculpts (recent Animated Morbius) and it's just wrong. Most collectors are used to huge ML head sculpts and think it's "the norm".

This wave should have been called "Marvel's Strange Сhoices"

They can keep those Warbird sculpted top boots with that ugly lower thigh cut in the retired mold room where it belongs!

I was just saying in the other thread about how I'm up in the air about Phoenix because I just customized the Juggernaut wave one to get it exactly how I like it.  This thread is now making me lean toward pass for this new one.  Don't purposely go with incorrect parts and resort to painted-on details if you have the correct parts on hand, Hasbro.

Still looking forward to Odin though.  He looks great.

Random thoughts on the Blackheart wave which I care noting about one way or the other:
Isn't Hellverine a brand, BRAND new character?  What's the turn around time on getting a figure for someone that new?  I guess it is just a head....

Wasn't Hellblazer a dangling carrot for the Engine of Vengeance?  If satanic chest tattoos can make it to retail, how about devil demons?  Under boob?

Is the party line of "Marvel Legends waves can only be "Spider-Man, Avengers, or movie related or else retailers won't order" now dead?

To be fair, it appears this wave won't be available at Target and Wal Mart -  so, maybe not.    They clarified this is an Amazon and Fan Channel wave.

Personally, I'm thrilled that Rogue is coming with Destiny instead of Mystique - I'd much rather get a new costume for Rogue than rebuy classic Mystique again. Rerelease her on her own for sure, but this is a way better 2-pack.

Odin is awesome. Bravo all around on that one. I like the look they went with, and that they acknowledged the challenge in settling on a design for a character that seems to never wear the same outfit twice.

Warlord Xavier is great. I probably would have liked purple more cause it's purty, but they went with a perfectly valid intepretation.

I'm not nearly as mad about the Strange Tales wave as others, but that's for the other thread.

The one thing I am annoyed about though is freakin' boot tops. It seems like every other wave there is a character with these boots, and they still aren't consistently using the sculpted pieces. Just invest in the damn tooling already!
