*snip*...I wish this Zabu was a deluxe offering with Ka-Zar.  This sort of BAF offering is my least favorite.  Something were a figure from the wave is "incomplete" without it.  You don't want to have a Sam Cap or a Vulture without their wings.....you don't want a Ka-Zar without his Zabu.

And that's exactly why I skipped getting Ka-Zar. I only wanted about half the figures from this wave, and as I've said the days are long gone where I'd buy a wave of figures I don't want just for the BaF. I can't justify that expense anymore. And if I can't get Zabu, why even bother with Ka-Zar.

I donno, there are definitely figures I didn't want to buy, but man, Zabu, even without his right hind leg, is already my favorite BAF in years.

Like others here, received the wave minus Cable on Sunday afternoon from (Surprise!) Ama-con. Considering all the messages I read on the net, more of a Hasbro problem than a specific vendor problem. I of course don't like having a 3-legged kitty, and no change in the schedule of arriving May 31 - Which coincidently is the release date for all my Gi Joe purchases too. Hoping Cable doesn't become the next Classified Arctic B.A.T. - There for a moment and then only available from scalper pukes.

At least got a notice my She Hulk arrives tomorrow won't hold my breath on that one.

Who knows? I may eventually cave. But then if I do, my problem actually becomes two-fold: If I complete Zabu, then I'll have Wolfsbane. And if I have Wolfsbane, then I need to go back and complete Strong Guy because I passed on him as well.

So ultimately, it just ends up being a cascading can of worms that I should just let alone.

If you do wind up trying to build him, the full case is on BBTS for 109.99. That price ain't too bad for a full wave these days. But it was also a pretty common wave, so finding just the parts may also be easy.

Also, you should just build Strong Guy because he's awesome and fun and you know you totally regret not getting him previously.

6 years later, 90's X-Factor is finally complete!

Wild seeing Wolfsbane on the shelf with Havok, Polaris, Strong Guy, Multiple Man, & Quicksilver.

I always factor in the $ I get back eBaying the figures I don't want to get their BAF piece. Not like its a great deal but it does take the price down. Depending on the figures I want I usually end up getting BAFs for $25-50, what I'd pay if they were releases on their own.

Agree with Norm that Zabu is one of the best BAFs in years. He's perfect. Now I just need that other leg! Admittedly I probably wouldn't have bought Black Winter if not for the BAF but I figure there's always one I wouldn't have wanted and I kinda just resign myself to the tradeoff (and fortunately in thise case, Black Winter is a really fun figure to mess with so I'm not super bothered by it).

Also supporting the notion that if you haven't built Strong Guy and can get his parts cheaply, it's so worth it. They did a great job with that ridiculous figure. With Wolfsbane in hand I'm going to re-do my shelf to swap in all X-Factor (I've got the non X-Factor Alex and Lorna on the shelf at the moment).

These potpourri waves (as described above, great visual) really are my favorites. Themed waves are fun but there's something about getting a Marvel sampler I just love.

If I do decide to build Strong Guy, I'm going to need the Sunspot and Warpath parts. 🙁

Does that mean you have the rest? I might be able to help out. Lemme check my parts once I get home.

BBTS had Maverick in stock, so I grabbed him. And I think I may have the rest. I'll have to double-check when I get home. My son is a big Deadpool fan so I know we bought the Deadpool figures (and Shiklah) from that wave. But I appreciate the help if you do.

I also am loving the mixed waves here - very much a throwback to the days of old.

With Ka-Zar and Zabu (currently incomplete) in hand, I'm rethinking my lack of dinosaurs for a Savage Land display. I've resisted the temptation over the years to pick up various Jurassic Park etc figures for just such a reason, but I'm tempted again. Just not sure how much shelf space I'd want to dedicate to what would mostly be background features (the dinos) and not named characters...

Not to goad you into buying stuff you probably don't need, but the Jurassic Park Amber Collection dinos were in scale with Legends. They were some of my favorite figures the year they released. I have a spare velociraptor I picked up just to keep around my office, on top of the majority of the collection along with the cast of humans. They look perfect with KaZar. Perfect.

A few can still be found on Amazon for $30.

I think I just nabbed the last in stock Ka-Zar at BBTS.   So now Im tempted to look around for one of those massive JP T-rex's I remember seeing at Targets, which is completely ridiculous since I absolutely do not have the room for it.
