I’m dying for Cable now, not so much for him, but to complete the majesty I already can feel in Zabu. It’s just so well executed, as anyone who collects Classified would expect. I think Zabu blows away any of the Classified animals.
My one figure a day streak from this wave continues with Ikaris making landfall on my stoop this afternoon. I got Red Widow, then Infamous Iron Man, now Ikaris, tomorrow Wolfsbane is scheduled to arrive... Ka-Zar and Black Winter have also shipped but it would be funny if they showed up on Wednesday and Thursday respectively.
Like everyone else, Cable is the only one I'm waiting for a notice on.
They really nailed Ikaris. So well executed. Is it me or do they seem to have realized the figures of the last 2 years or so have been under-painted and just upped their paint job just a bit to give them better depth.

Certainly not with Ch'od. He's lime green Crayola throughout.
I am thrilled beyond measure with Ikaris. The Kirby is strong with him. But I am wondering if the feet on everyone else's figure has as much space between the foot and the ankle as mine does, or if mine is flawed in some way.
@thor-el Did you try heating and pushing the foot as far back onto the ankle as possible? It could have been assembled loosely. But also, I'm not able to look at my copy from work, and I didn't notice if this was an issue on mine as well.
@normdapito heating it is on the agenda for tonight, but I wanted to see if mine was just a unique instance.

That was the nadir it seems. He’s on my to do list with a wash of 2 other greens and high light for the fins and nails. I worried Zabu could have been similar but they’ve put just enough paint to high light it
Got some of my of figures in yesterday. Black Winter, Red Widow, Ka-Zar and Wolfsbane. Really liking them all even the ones I didn't care for. Zabu so far is great, had to go all in to build him. Don't have that much regret yet. Sure, I probably could have waited for a sale, but I don't image it coming until next year and I didn't want to wait that long
Of course it's the X-folks dragging ass to get here so I can complete my tiger. I've now got the wave except Rahne and Nathan... and of course the cat's torso comes with Wolfsbane so I have a bunch of appendages and a head just lolling around with nothing to attach to 🙂
At least Wolfsbane is scheduled to turn up tomorrow. Amazon still says June 22 for my Cable figure, so who knows.
Now that I've got everybody but Cable in hand, man this is just a really fun wave. Ikaris is shockingly perfect. They went so in on making this a beautiful action figure and I'm utterly impressed. I think he's going to be one of those "never in storage" characters.
Wolfsbane is a bit orange but not so much that it bothers me. love the face sculpt, so glad to have an upgrade to the Walgreens exclusive one.
Ka-Zar's funny - sort of like how Power Princess is the best Wonder Woman figure we've had in an accessible toy line in years, Ka-Zar makes me wish we'd get this level of range of movement on He-Man. (Although I do think Masterverse is really great.)
And I know Hasbro's teams don't overlap much, but there has GOT to be some teaming up on the animal toys right now, cos Zabu is bloody amazing, but in the same way thath the GI Joe Classified line is knocking it out of the park with animal companions, and the D&D line's best figures are all animals/creatures, and the Ghostbusters line did such a great job with the demon dogs... We NEED more animals in Legends this fun. Come on, Lockjaw! Give us Pizza Dog!
(I'll have to read the comics Black Winter appears in. Figure is really nice but he also shares so much of the sculpt from my favorite Thor in years so of course I like him.)
Received Wolfsbane from Amazon today by surprise along with the Deadpool Legacy figure I ordered, also by surprise. Wolfsbane's range of motion is very little, just kinda an inaction figure. I'm playing around more with Zabu's torso which looks like an oversized articulated chicken tender when you have nothing else to attach to it. Honestly I'm having more fun with that and the 3-4 year old Deadpool reissue than I am Wolfsbane. Plus her joints are very small so she feels very gummy. Her left arm popped out of socket just from my trying to turn the shoulders to get better crouching pose range. Aint happening without modifications. I guess she can be crossed off the list now. Checkbox figure like Avalanche rather than anything impressive or fun in my opinion.
I recieved the whole wave (minus Cable) from Amazon on Sunday. Overall I’m satisfied, I missed “potpourri” waves like this, a little of everything. Red Widow’s cape looks nice-really restricts movement and I really only wanted Wolfsbane to upgrade her New Mutants look. Zabu is a massive upgrade ocer the previous sigma Six repaint.
Oh my goodness, remember that awful Sigma Six reuse? I wonder where I put that thing.
I've seen pics on Reddit (aka off-brand noob Fwoosh) of Ka-Zar with Ikaris' head and He-Man's chest harness and power sword. Totally works, though he needs a belt.
I never felt the need to track down that SDCC set because I always thought that Zabu was a massive disappointment. Never realized it was a Sigma Six reissue, but it's styleized to such an extent it looks like a baby toy and not an adult collectible.
I think Classified does a great job with their animal friend figures and I wish this Zabu was a deluxe offering with Ka-Zar. This sort of BAF offering is my least favorite. Something were a figure from the wave is "incomplete" without it. You don't want to have a Sam Cap or a Vulture without their wings.....you don't want a Ka-Zar without his Zabu.
