@canprime I want all those too. Classic Vanguard is my number one want but I realize the hammer and sickle emblem on his chest makes him a loooooong shot right now. But I'd love to get the classic Soviet Super-Soldiers completed and then all the later members/Winter Guard. Sputnik, Perun, and Chernobog in particular would be such cool figures!

Boo to this man. Unless this opinion is because the Soviet Super Soldiers was a better iteration this is a terrible take. I need me a Vanguard in the worst way now to finish off the classic team.
There are almost a half dozen more characters I could go for to flesh out the team(both Winter Guard and Soviet Super Soldiers). Vanguard, Crimson Dynamo/Titanium Man (I know Selects did them, but ML needs to do them), Perun (80s or modern) Sputnik (80s for sure but modern is a maybe) and Fantasma (again 80s, although maybe more modern) and I have a soft spot for Chernobog.

Anyway…yes to all of this! I love the Winter Guard! And they are so relevant! The Soviets are still the bad guys even now!
In Legends, we are still missing all the main Crimson Dynamos! Classic Mark 3 in the Diamond-head armor. Iconic Mark 4 armor from Armor Wars and Super Soviets. Red and silver Mark 5 from the 90s. And the modern suit.
Need Titanium Man 1 and Titanium Man 2 (Gremlin). And

Vostok
Perun
Chernobog
Can anyone who gets Quasar and/or Kazar from the Zabu wave try putting each of their heads on red/white Angel just to see how they make for a no-cowl Warren? Thanks!
@renfield75 That's the question. Would you take a Vanguard without the symbols? Still would probably be an issue since he uses a hammer and sickle as weapons in that look.

Vanguard can be made with the hammer and sickle symbol/weapons. I just don't buy that *anyone* would really care, or at least not any good faith actor.
Additional Dynamos are an easy win. Perun, Vostok, and Chernobog are the ones I'm most interested to see if they get to. It's not obvious that they should get made but they clearly are building this team and they all have very interesting and toyetic looks. As with all the teams I would hope they could commit to one a year, but we all know how that goes...

I certainly don't think anyone who collects Legends would be bothered by Vanguard's classic suit/weapons, but I'm sure Hasbro would rather avoid someone posting a picture of it at Wal-Mart or Target or even on Amazon saying "Look at the commie propaganda they're selling our children!". It would be dumb and blow over but a company as big as Hasbro likely wouldn't take that chance over an obsolete costume for an obscure character. Sadly.

Got Wolfsbane in the mail today, first of this wave I've picked up. Very happy to have her to complete X-Factor after so long! The head is really throwing me - it almost looks like they were going for Feral and repurposed it. I need to try the Moonstar/New Mutants head and see if it works.
Zabu Wolfsbane's head looks good even without painting it on the Dani Moonstar body (and fits just fine), but the wrists don't fit in the peg holes. Imho, her head should get painted or the body should get painted if you put the old Wolfsbane head on the Zabu wave body. I'll be keeping the Zabu Wolfsbane intact on my X-Factor mostly (X-Factor Investigations) shelf and might get a second one for the New Mutants shelf, though isn't it true she didn't wear the modern New Mutants outfit? Was she not on the team at the time? Interestingly, there are no holes in Zabu Wolfsbane's feet to put her on a stand. Is that a trend? I haven't noticed it before. Chamber's feet barely have any holes though as well.

Any potential "controversy" over the Soviet Super Soldiers could easily be relegated by releasing characters via Fan Channel. They wouldn't be on shelves and in front of people who aren't familiar with the subject material.
I don't see anyone caring enough to make a thing of Soviet/Russian figures being made. We did it in the 80's and that was when everyone agreed they were the enemy.
